I had the same sort of problem when the first slide is an object type of slide with text - it will sometimes jitter, and when going thru the comversion process with tmpenc it doesnt seem to like a slide that is set "do not show picture" as first slide have got around problem by making coloured jpgs to use for first slide -- also have been putting one at the end as well But i convert all my shows first to svcd mpg format with tmpgenc first -- half the work is done if i decide to go further -the converted files can be saved -i have 2 vcd boxes that will play that format and i can decide if i want to go further ken

Ralvis you got my vote on that statement I have yet to see the reason for syncing a non speaking show -- the ordinary sync feature has satisfied me but then i have not the smarts to set up a synced show so maybe i am biased -- i dont need the hassle -- my body cant take the stress ken

JG try http://www.dekabyte.com/filesplitter/ The File Splitter version 1.21 The File Splitter allows you to split any file into pieces of any size and later reconstruct the pieces to form the original file. New Requirements: Windows 95, 98, or NT4 is required to run The File Splitter. Windows 95, 98, or NT4 is required to reconstruct a file that has a long filename; otherwise, DOS 6.0 or higher or Windows 95, 98, or NT4 is required. http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file_desc...fid,6938,00.asp File Splitter Split files into pieces so that you can move them between systems on floppy disks. This program creates a batch file that is easily reassembled on another PC. You do not need to have this utility installed on both machines to transfer files. Be warned that File Splitter is no frills; in addition, it's for older machines running Windows 9x. The utility is reliable, however--and it's free. What more can you ask for? it works on my xp home and it is free ken

jongru welcome to the forum. you are getting confused by the terms because most of the software we are using to conert the slideshow to something that can be viewed on a tv via a dvd player uses the word "movie" ken

Ed I have been informed if you overinstall the existing ini doesn't change --so your modified one would stay by design -- I install each version to a separate directory for back checking features. Marianne see http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums//index...t=ST&f=2&t=1682 thread for specific settings recommended by Igor ken

Igor, opt_FastFade=1 opt_SmoothFade=1 In 4.2 final these lines are not in the ini they are not necessary is that correct?? ref thread http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums//index...t=ST&f=2&t=1682 ken

If Bill decides to pull the plug on his site where are you going to post your shows then - - is Michel going to pick up the slack?? or maybe somebody else is going to host 300 mb's where the shows will be rated -- maybe there will be an area where comments or stars can be added for ranking?? and who has the qualifications for the rating process -- i have +- 3 gb of members shows on my system -- remember the old saying "different strokes for different folks" or "people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones" All the shows i have downloaded are loved by someone and someone has put a lot of effort making the show -- who am I to say a certain show is of poor quality -- one can always learn by someone else's "mistakes".
