Ray, vertical wavy lines are common occurences on right side of screen -- i have been using picts that are 1024/768, the having selected the full screen box, reduce screen size to 90% -- i lost the picture vertical borders/edges - thus the waviness goes it has been mentioned on forum before and i had some comments/thoughts on it and i thought there were some other entries. When the first 2 4.2 beta's came out it was brought up. see http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums//index...f=4&t=1350&st=0 rooskidiver was doing some testing also ken

Eric, i feel i have gained time by going p2e exe to p2e /video/avi to TMPGEnc to do the encoding - then to nero 5.5 to do the burn - i have been encoding to svcd, then a fresh encode to vcd and then close the video feature of p2e - and put the svcd in one folder and vcd in another a lot of dvd players will not play svcd -- and checking over the stacks that were in the stores for xmas i seen none in the < $125 range. ken

I repeat all the other accolades Just back from a big box store and demo'd a vcd on a big flat screen connected to all the speakers and the young lads were fascinated by what can be done -- the only thing lacking were babes they said, so if guys in 18 to 20 range think it's cool then we must be doing something right. all the best to you and yours from me and mine in 2004 ken

I just completed 2 revised shows timing sizes etc, 11:05 12/30/03 Autos 90% screen adjustment -- adj comments position interlace and sharpness on - selected dvd exe size 24.47 mb -- avi = 128.311 mb time to encode with tmpgenc interlace on and all default settings 55.25 mins svcd = 250.816 mb vcd encode 47.4 mins mpg final size 125.97 mb -------- Calendar -- adj comments position -- interlace, sharpness and dvd selected exe size 21.3 mb -- avi = 102.4 mb time to encode with tmpgenc interlace on and all default settings 47.45 mins svcd = 209.9 mb vcd encode 39 mins mpg final size 105.4 mb have to change text colour in some cases on auto show but overall positioning is fine these 2 shows are worst case conditions -- they are scanned from paper reproductions, but they show just fine on 13"23"& 29" tv's still have to burn the vcd's but 2 of my players will play svcd stand alone mpg-2's so have not tested on 33" tv as yet. Dec 31 03 made a 500 mb vcd and tested on 33" fine ken

Mike i tried again and suceeded in moving comments, thanks for the heads up. i wonder why the top position does not work????? k
-
thanks Mike will have to give it a go but i think i want more than that tried -100 pixels and + 100 pixels settings and could measure no significant change on the screen ken

Igor Position of Comments At the present time the comments position is 8 preset positions. Other than putting text directly on the original picture with a graphic program, or using p2e's Object editor Is there any way you could change the program in such a way for example that if I picked the top of the screen position i could lower/position it in increments to say 2" by using 4 buttons -- up - down - left - right ? With the advent of the AVI feature I am finding that one has to look towards the future more and more when composing a show -- one must scan the pictures for the "big screen" and placement of text can very easily get lost in the "sizing" ken

project options screen there are various settings you will have to experiment to get the setting to satisfy your needs ken

Shelton, while you are doing this trouble shooting it might be advisable to drop a note to wnsoft and explain situation re your reg # - i dont know what hoops you are going to have to jump thru to get a new one but you should be looking at that problem as well. when you get it save it to floppy, cd or other device off the computer i seem to remember the reg location in your registry was mentioned a while back -- and i think it was nobeefstu that entered the info ken

Carol welcome to the forum a pte exe is prettyy well compressed all it can be a file splitter program may be your answer quite a few mail programs will not accept an exe due to it being an exe and quite few people's antivirus program will block exe's as well you did the right thing zipping it but most isp's will not allow you to send a message that is greater the 4 mb -- this is due to the encryription process they use which will add +- 1.5 mb to a 4mb message the encryption is removed when the message is opened by the receiver's mail program -- it will still have the encryption while on the isp's server you could try to reduce the music size and or the picts size but we need the size of the music and the average size of picts in order to help you further where did you see the if they were at Beechbrook Cottage ot Michel's site, they were uploaded to the site by file transfer ken

Bernard we could add acronyms to no end but excellence comes with proper planning and hard work. once you have made a few mistakes you will see what Jim and I are saying and then you will be posting a show for all to see ken
-
Bernard welcome to the forum. the easiest way is to is to sort them out side of p2e by renaming the picts as to how you want to add them bulk moving within the program can be done with the picts in the left column -- hilighting the pictures you want to move and then either click add or drag them over to where you want them in the sequence -- they can be dragged up or down also Al Robinson has developed a "light table" for sorting. http://www.alrobinson.com/pte_items.htm but the bottom line is taking the time to properly id the pict in the first place and your job of sorting will become easier ken

CC Will have to go back step by step -- had some rn'r, burned 6 disks hope it is as simple as that problem solved -- s/d tmpgenc then pte and avi went away -- too many folders/programs open and missed tmpgenc being open thks for the "heads up" ken

I just made a 343 mb vcd with #5 beta, when i played the disk -- one part has just music -- checked the folder and the sure enough i had used the avi file instead of the mpg file that i had made of the avi. So i did another exe to video, converted it to a mpeg 1 again clicked the finish button of the p2e proggie and the avi did not disappear as it did with previous beta's by design. so what is going on Igor?? --- all is not lost as i still have all the mpg-1's ready to burn with nero 5.5 but am whipped - - been all morning doing this and have to rest now, ken
-
Bob see my question above midi is not compatible with the AVI as yet ken
-
Igor any idea when the midi feature for synced avi will be included ken
-
just continued some testing and the Koss player will not recognize the disk with mixed components svcd mpeg exe or a mpg created for a vcd the Citizen player will recognize the svcd, exe and vcd mpg and will play them --- other than the exe ken
