Granot on my win xp home, it appears that C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 is the main home for scr but i believe some programs the come with a scr feature will store it elsewhere C:\SCR'S I have scr's in both locations wasting space, but the grandkids like them so they stay but if my memory serves me right win95 and 98 store them in the system folder C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM lot of "but's" to this challenge happy labour day to all the forum members raining here ken

  14. are you able to see other things with your firewire-- when looking at/in "my Computer" what op sys do you have you may have to enable the other drives with tweakui or similar program ken

  16. Please forget WMP... especially v9 ! i luv it -- i use the sine wave patterns etc for rough comparisons when i want to try something 4. Just tried my .ogg files with new Audacity 1.2 pre-beta 1. They sound very well. just dowloaded the 1.2 beta and it plays my oog test file without crashing always wear my tin hat when playing --- get better resonance k
  17. I have made some shows with 4.11 and they played off the cd in an office environment ME system with no skips and i always test them after burning on my own xp 1.33ghz/512 machine - with the cd drive not the burner drive with no problems ken
  18. Guido ran another conversion original file 159 kb/128 bit mp3 to oog file 158 kb/128 bit oog btw Windows Media player 9 will not play and checked the WMP site for plugins -- no luck Audacity crashes when i try it Irfanview, Sonic Foundry and Media Jukebox and dBpowerAMP play it ken
  19. dont ask me -- i just use it to convert stuff i can play the oog files with irfanview and with Media Jukebox so far can hear no difference between mp3 and oog -- but then i had my tin hat on but i opened the original file and the converted in soundforge 6 and the sine wave patterns appear the same ken
  20. proper record keeping in photogaphy is a must and time consuming but it must be done -- sorry that is not what you would like to hear been there done that ken
  21. re number them in windows as to the order that you took them -- example 01_---- 02_---- etc do not touch the original part of the number then put them in one at a time ken
