Frank you will be better off when starting to put a show together, to copy and paste all material -- picts, icons muscic etc to a new appropritely named folder -- this will make your job much easier. ken

Taking Guido's thought's on links a bit further, let's use an example. see http://www.romatec.com/ and enter now if you click watertreatment -- the link takes you to the manufacturers that Romatec represents, clicking on one of the links takes you to that companies site. so if a useful links section was developed it could have several sections -- graphics, sound, hardware etc there have many names of products thrown up in various threads that could be added. the only problem is if somebody starts a thread like the one i started re members sites -- a member should be able to go to my original and enter a site url -- as it is now i am the only one that can edit the first entry sheet, thus the thread gets very large and out of hand. ken

Igor, are we going to have 4 categories plus the pinned category as we have now for the latest version beta? and are you going to incorporate the old database archives into the present forum? Pinned: PicturesToExe v4.00 beta #4 --------------------------- 1.sound 2.graphics 3.general problems/comments/social 4.Hints for and Questions by Beginners (includes how to get your reg key). this section could also include a pinned area show the history, text, faq which Igor would have to update as versions are changed ken

This is an fyi re icons. i whipped up a little comedy show with cartoons this morn for my email friends -- it was < 1/2 meg. i saved and created it with no music or icons. -- then i thought i would enhance it a bit -- i got a little midi out of my files and an icon from my collection -- did a save as under a different name, and then tried a create as under the new name -- got an error message that i couldnt do that or words to that effect -- i checked the folder and the new files were there with the new name -- the new file would run and the music would play -- but the icon i had installed in the program was not showing on the exe -- scratched head a bit -- checked properties of the icon -it was READ ONLY -- unchecked the box and checked the archive box -- did a save as and create as and no error messages now -- and icon is on the exe btw the show was called Smile --TGIF ken
