  6. for some time downloads that are an exe give that message -- if they are in a zip we do not get that message - i did not complain for fear of getting disparaging remarks about colonials - but when there are free zip proggies [7zip]why not use them rather than have us colonials jump thru hoops to get to your project just remember that gmail will not pass an exe in or out of a zip - unless the extension is changed -[it also helps if you change the extension that you advise the receiver that it is actually a zip, rar or whatever and to rename the file] or if you use 7zip the file will pass but think you have to have 7zip installed on a system in order to open it 7.0.6 download as per Igor method same as before ken reason being wnsoft has changed host site to one in Germany methinks Network id#: 8 Hetzner Online AG Gruenberger Strasse 27 90475 Nuernberg GERMANY details extracted from neo trace from a site in the USA discrimination - the colonies getting old stuff

  9. WHEN I WAS LEARNING DARKROOM, my gurus said let the guy in the darkroom correct your mistakes -- "what do you mean" -- well they said when doing groups do not get greedy and and shoot close to the outer people because when enlarging to 8x 10" in order to get vertical edge to edge you lose +- 1 1/2" each end -- oh oh there goes auntie then when i was shooting at work, a professional photographer told me when shooting slides to be projected via a kodak carousel or to be put on vhs tape, shoot horizontal - and he was the company's main photographer for slide duplication and general nearly all photography along came digital and pte - i tried to remember all i had learned with 35mm and medium format but i would still get black bars when i went 16/9 - i tried to gleen all i could from the forum which has a very large contingent of UK members to no avail so back to my guru at the camera shop -- the manager a very close friend, said the camera comes set up normal to record pictures that will print to standard 4x6 5x7 8x10 etc format without losing image -- i said i have printed enough over the years -- no more -- then he said then change your setting to wide screen -- voila no more black bars -- now for some strange reason there are a few sequences that come from from the UK that are full screen - lovely i say to myself there is a prominent member on the forum that he and i communicate off list quite often and aspect ratio came up -- i sent him pictures and system's set up's so he could see where i was coming from - i think he understands my thoughts AND THAT IS WHY I SAY FULL SCREEN EDGE TO EDGE when i critigue a show also - i mostly use large pict's 2-3 mb when making a show - until you have printed a 35mm neg of a scene vs a med format neg of the same scene you wont appreciate the difference -- don't worry pte can handle it - but maybe you system cant ken

  11. PETER THIS IS FROM 4.49 How to create DVD-Video disc Using PicturesToExe you are able to produce AVI video file which can be easily burned as DVD-Video disc with help of any special software (read below). Even it is possible to create SVCD disc on usual CD-R disc with high quality of image and sound (almost as DVD-Video). PicturesToExe provides fast and lossless transferring of video and audio for converting into DVD-Video format. This allows to keep excellent quality of your presentations and very smooth transition effects. Advice: please create usual EXE files for playing of presentations on PC, and DVD-Video disc if you want to play your presentations on DVD players connected to TV. 1) Preparing of AVI file file in PicturesToExe: Start PicturesToExe; open your project; and then call AVI video output dialog ("AVI button in the main window of PicturesToExe"). Choose "NTSC" TV system, if you live in United States, Canada, Japan, Taiwan or South Korea. Choose "PAL/SECAM" TV system you live in Europe, Australia, Africa, or in any other country. Select "DVD-Video disc", if you have DVD-Writer or "SVCD disc" if you have usual CD-R/RW drive. "Interlaced for TV" option is highly recommended to get excellent quality and smoothness of transitions on TV. You can click "Preview" button to immediately see the resulting presentation playing as video file. In this mode, please ignore that transitions may be shown not so smooth. But on burned DVD-Video disc all transition effects will play excellent as in usual EXE file. Also we recommend to make sure that text fonts are enough large to be readable on the screen of TV.Now click the "Create AVI file" button and PicturesToExe will produce video file within 10-30 seconds. Important note: Please don't click "Finish" button until you didn't fully burn the DVD-Video disc. 2) Converting and burning AVI video file into DVD-Video disc: PicturesToExe can not burn DVD-Video, so you need to make use of any special software which can convert produced AVI video file into DVD-Video format and burn the disc. We recommend you to use Ulead DVD MovieFactory2 http://www.ulead.com/store/dmf/runme.htm which can do it. Also you will able to make simple DVD menu. (In this program, please don't forget to choose NTSC or PAL/SECAM in the Preferences window. To call this window, press F6 key). Please click the "Finish" button in PicturesToExe when the disc will be fully written. (Temporary AVI video file will be automatically deleted, because it is intended only for converting into DVD-Video format.) Enjoy with your recorded DVD-Video or SVCD discs! Advice: SVCD on usual CD-R disc gives almost DVD video quality Even if you don't have DVD writer, you can burn SVCD on usual CD-R disc via CD-R/RW writer with almost DVD quality! So it better never create VCD video which will looks very blurred and shows terrible transition effects. And DVD or SVCD will make maximally possible (for TV) details and smoothness of transation effects in your presentations. SVCD video disc can be played on any PC with CD-ROM or DVD-ROM and software for playing of DVD video disc. Or on most of stationary DVD players connected to TV. Note: Advanced users can use "Create custom AVI video file" option for various purposes. This allows to produce AVI video file with necessary audio and video codecs (MPEG4, MJPEG, etc).
  12. PETER GOOGLE GAVE ME THIS http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=473859 http://www.ehow.com/how_5035405_make-dvd-play-continuously.html think i used to make them by using the pte codec -[custom]- Igors first instruction on how to make a video before the video builder, early ver 5 leaving pte open and importing the temp avi to a 3rd party software ken
  13. Derek Lin does not post his samples on Beachbrook - he posts links to his shows on the forum you must read all threads of the forum not just the ones you might be interested in, in order to stay abreast of what is going on especially when you have a problem ken ken
  14. Lin as you say smooth as butter -If you remember a year ago we had a jiggle at the dancers and in the last couple transitions -- no jiggle now do you have to feed that critter peanuts in the lower right corner to keep it there )) i played it on the monitor and the tv via hdmi ken
  15. Derek I just provided the sources where to get the info on your system - this info is important for the guru's on the forum to analyze what is going on to cause problems and then make recommendations -- i guess none have an answer for you I had problem with Eric's first fair show by chance i did the MS monthly update -- nothing to do with graphics yet the show improved -- not 100 % but improved -- then eric told us that i was not the only one that could not play his show did you download the show that lin posted the other day - 100 mb+- -ran smooth as silk on mine- no video per se gives your system a real workout Pete offered this first attempt - get it and see how it runs ken
  16. Peter too many safety violations making the show -- the dept of mining in the UK will likely condem it if they see it Now if you had shown it the the forum first as Eric suggested, the violations would have been caught Ken
