keep the suggestions coming - more means the better informed the forum will be ken

A suggestion has been made that i feel is valid So often when shows are posted by people there are a lot of questions asked-- this may be partially solved if,when posting shows either to Beechbrook, mediafire, dropbox etc.,to be downloaded by members , please include as much info as you can IN YOUR NOTES - location, year, aspect ratio, screen resolution you work with, size of file , run time, manual control Camera and lens and any other info that you can provide This is an example oF what Yachtsman [EricShepherd ] put's in his posting's Mechanics. 42.1mb, 32 slides, run time 2.44 minutes, slide size fixed, AR 5-4. HE COULD HAVE ADDED MORE In Fact I think Eric requested something like this quite some time ago
-
you are welcome to your opinion Peter, the person that requested i speak to Spock was quite satisfied with my reprimand if he/she had read the locations of the names mentioned there would have been no need for the message In fact he/she figured the message would have been deleted if you had read the letter thank you very much ken
-
Spock quite obvious you dont understand the English ways Paulcl and Paulo has a different name but (I think) they are the same person ...(look at the structure of the message). 2 different people - if you were a member for quite some time you would know this He (they) have done that too in "REYKJAVIK IN WINTER" post people can have similar comments Others sent projects by PM to not share... their perogative you should learn the English language before you start critisizing people

Does PTE need a better Help system?
Ken Cox replied to fh1805's topic in Suggestions for Next Versions
good idea Peter but was there not some discussion couple years back re tool tips? in conjunction with your idea would be a better and more accurate means of searching the forum - if it worked better more people might look up the answer themselves for example ijust did a search for tool tips this was one of the pages that came up http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?/topic/8213-picturestoexe-deluxe-55-release-candidate-5/page__view__findpost__p__53685 and i did a search for tool tips on the last page which is the one that came up - tool tips = 0 searched the whole forum for tooltips = 0 ken -
Karl i played the video vob with Nero showtime, kantaris , em total video player and wmp 12 -- all shimmer ken
-
Karl got the test file with the music clip made a dvd and duplicated your shimmer see http://www.wnsoft.com/picturestoexe/help/ and get the manual in various languages -- r mouse the one you want and do a save target as and put it where you can easiky get it pg 29 - Igor changed the name to Edge antialiasing -- which you have turned on Properties Tab The Properties Tab is situated on the right side of the main window of the option Objects and Animation and shows the main characteristics of the image or object. Here you can see the information where this image or object is located on your computer. You can also choose whether the slide is the main object of slide in the object list. The Edge antialiasing should be normally turned on. It is used to minimize the distortion of some artifacts of high resolution images, when they are shown at low resolution. Low quality of resizing is the feature, which shouldn't be always used. It's helpful only when it is necessary to use bilinear filtration while zooming the image. Sharper/Smoother option gives you an opportunity to make picture sharper or smoother according to your needs and the initial quality of picture. sorry i could not be of more help ken

also see http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?/topic/10607-discussion-of-v6-0-beta/page__pid__70611__st__320 Turn on "Antishimmering (mipmapping)" option in "Advanced..." window of a button properties. It will improve quality of text in your slideshow. - Re-check state of "Show back side" option in "3D properties" window. It will hide caption of a button together with background of the button.

Karl would like to try it with the music to see it is affecting the operation -- if not too much trouble, can re upload with the music included? ken

IMHO the general attitude is why hunt for an answer if somebody knows it in other words " the master servant syndrome" DAVE THKS FOR THE MEMORY REMINDER ken
-
KARL from my experience of making videos from the start of being able to with PTE -starting with vcd's/svcd's , Igor introduced an anti shimmer feature and it pretty well stopped it -- it was most prevalent in grilles of cars, trucks, and car side mouldings - vertical sharp edges if you use the search feature of the forum and search for jaggies or shimmer there might be an easy solution ken
-
Karl you said "the simple freeware which I used before (PhotoFilmStrip / DVDFlick) there is absolutely no flicker on the DVD videos." did you make a dvd-r disk using PhotoFilmStrip / DVDFlick) and pte file before and with what version of pte are you prepared to upload your problem file to an upload site if necessary to be analyzed by wnsoft people? ken

Lin takes a lot of bandwidth to do the video - and takes it nearly to end of show to fill the cache - my bandwidth was able to keep ahead of it with no stoppage along the way but some may have a problem and not view it like the exe ken

ERIC my techie is a gamer big time and when we were seeing how my new [APRIL THIS YEAR -SPECS HAVE BEEN ENTERED TO FORUM] DESKTOP WITH ONBOARD GRAPHICS performed with a 100 mb pte file provided by Lin -- it had some slight problems - he took a copy home and ran it on his gaming system with no problem - so dont shoot the gamers down, think they know a bit about performance i maybe should have spent another $200-300 more for a graphics card but it can always be added later max ram+max processor = performance )) ken
