  1. but are their shows entered in the "nationals" ? ken
  2. I THINK THE POINT we are missing -- this forum is not the "grand National" it is a forum to show your work to your peers - i would not class a show as a "final edition" If you are going to enter it in the "NATIONALS" turn off the manual controls, but in this forum leave them on and let the members view it as they like -- i would rather not use the "ESC KEY" KEN
  3. Barry, you must not have read all my threads, i have been outputting shows via svhs feed to crt tv's since ver 3.6 -- James "Slugman" O'Rear also done it and we both made vhs videos - him for sale me for family and friends enjoyment. And i do look for "broken up with artifacts." I learned very early that saving jpeg's at 50% quality was a no no -- blocky picts are not pleasing to the eye, but in some cases, "somethin is better than nuthin" Now, if the show interests me i put it out to a ws panasonic via svhs feed so i can really enjoy them - not the same as a projector but I'm easy some of the shows that are posted make me very jealous that i didn't take the picture but happy for the feeling of satisfaction the photographer must feel when they know they got another "a keeper" ken
  4. Barry I have had this dicussion with Maureen and others many times -- i view slide shows to see other people's work - i want to view the many wonders of this world at my leisure - you would not run thru an art gallery or a gallery show of photographs so why should you view an AV at somebody else's settings -- a few years ago you used to say "change your resolution to view my shows" and we disagreed on that point as wellB) funny thing you did not say the same thing re adj your resolution when viewing your website's -- i could view them perfectly without adj'ing my graphics card Narrated shows like Peter's show re the history of Alum is a different type of show altogether and must be listened to to be appreciated You critiqued Ron's book show because it was manual - I doubt there are very few people that can read a full page of text in 4-5 seconds, then look at the picture to see what he was telling us "differnt strokes for different folks" ken
  5. Mick once i figured out your speed/transitions [a bit fast], and that manual control was enabled, i was able to view your prints at my leisure well put together collection ken
  6. Ave the program is being updated all the time -- "he who hesitates is lost " ken
  7. Ave cant help you as to the exact procedure but i think from what i have read the first time you try to use Vb or the extras you are going to be asked to apply the Key for VB another tip once you have registered it get stu's utility http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=10273&st=0&p=66807&fromsearch=1entry66807 ken
  8. make sure you save all documentation and details as well as the key -- to a separate flash drive, cd etc see http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=12201&pid=79400&st=40entry79400 ken
  9. from my signature go to http://www.wnsoft.com/download.htm http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/ "buy now" button i guess:rolleyes: ken
  10. you will likely have to pay - video builder and all the extra features subscription is only good for 2 years - if you update you will lose vb and the extra features ken
  11. Andrew full background screen - ran smooth as silk- sharp picts showing lots of detail - music got me singing to myself would have liked to see more engine room and controls:( great show ken
  12. LENNART IF I REMEMBER RIGHT THERE WERE A FEW SHOWS LIKE THIS think they were quite popular at the time:rolleyes: ken
  13. George I would have liked larger picts neat format tho' ken
  14. IMHO turning off manual control is a big mistake I want to look at the author's picts unless there is speech involved sound is of little importance or transitions i am interested the style of the photographer ! Andrew you have a good thing going don't mess with sucess ken
  15. HAVE A LOOK AT THE WHOLE THREAD http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=8145&pid=51340&st=0entry51340 Lin has a tutorial and end of thread ken
  16. it has manual controls I think all the book shows put up recently all do In the case of Ron's, he literally wrote a page describing each picture:unsure: ken
  17. Andrew great collection - great exposure and colours- i know what low light shooting is all about full screen top and horizontal had headset wide open - quickly turned them down ken
  18. Paul amazing what was built with literally no powertools -- great documentation and music ken
  19. Davy great collection and well composed ken
  20. Pict TO Exe will make a random slide show the link to the help file is below ken
  21. STU IMHO i think the whole idea would help people putting their show together -- I have always enabled the nav bar functions since 3.4 to facilitate things - Lets hope Igor will consider this one ken
  22. Stu what would really be neat would be when you hit preview you would get a split screen one side showing the whiteboard - and advancing as the slides changed the other showing the show ken
  23. GEORGE when you get this done you will be able to rename it piece de resistance - the outstanding item (the prize piece or main exhibit) in a collection http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pi%C3%A8ce_de_r%C3%A9sistance forget who it was but he must have had +- 12 different versions -- mostly due to spelling mistakes so hang in there ken
  24. sorry far too slow now ken
  25. Mary depends on the intended use - Bill's site has a time limit of 30 days if he enforces it - mediafire does not as a rule i have no problem with medaifire ken
