Adding colour to background in text boxes
Ken Cox replied to Michael W's topic in General Discussion
Michael W for starters a few links related to text -- they may get you going http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=10844&pid=70348&st=0entry70348 http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=10170&st=0entry66334 http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=10894&pid=70661&st=0entry70661 http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=9894&st=0entry64599 ken -
Mark guess you missed Peter's comment (Note: it is only advice and not, in any sense, strict rules) It is not the forum's business to make rules as you suggest Now if a competition has a set of rules for entrants to follow that is a different story, people on the forum put their shows up for people to share -- if they dont suit you, then dont download them ken
-
PETER my suggestion did not want file size, aspect etc what i want to see is when somebody posts a show, the download name is the same as the contents of the zip or the exe. you would not believe the different names of the same file in my collection and when somebody asks for a file the problems i encounter and if you are posting shows for members to share, for your own records one should keep track of all info for that show ken
-
It would also be nice if people would name thier shows [the exe] the same as their description and for their own records keep a link as to where they posted it ken

Saved "last used image folder" in project file
Ken Cox replied to fh1805's topic in Suggestions for Next Versions
Maybe my idea still has a chance then the concept i practice and the one we recommend to newbies is 1 start a new folder with the proper name 2 copy and paste all pictures, music notes etc to that folder 3 open your pte program 4 select new 5 direct the progam to said folder 6 add pictures to the program 7 do a save as of the pte with the proper name to said folder now whenever you want to add music, changes etc to said pte, the program should have the smarts to go to that folder for the material to add, not go to c drive looking for things. ken -

ERIC here in the colonies we are NTSC same as Japan area http://www.google.ca/search?source=ig&hl=en&rlz=&q=ntsc+vs+pal&meta=lr%3D&aq=0&oq=NTSC some dvd players have the smarts to play pal and or ntsc i have made shows with nero 6.6 suite with pal checked and they played with my old Citizen players as ntsc and they played in the UK fine -- and i did not know what kind of player they were going to be played on i think it is a hit and miss situation when making dvd's for the masses when Igor gave us the option of making vcd's, i had players that would not play the svcd format - i had to buy players that would the technolgy moves so fast it is hard to keep up there are services that will convert formats for a price also see http://www.videohelp.com/ when you are in the this field , you need big hard drives/memory fast processor raaammmm:) time be willing to experiment -- it also is a big help if you can work with somebody else to sort out problems in a real time using msn messenger or skype for file transfer and talk thru the situation deep pockets for your needs and most important an understanding mate ken

Eric Graphics card - not the on board graphics - will depend what your box builder and yourself agree on as to the output of the card - the card determines what it will do and you have to set it and the monitor if i was doing it today the minimum woud be 512 mb ram on the board with the latest output 's maybe DaveG or Lin could jump in here - Lin has put a link up re cards http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=11047 think you are going to have a hardtime getting a 4:3 monitor -- i could not get one last year off the shelf -- maybe if i ordered http://www.tomshardw.../2d-windows-gdi,2539.html ken

use a known value -- a newscast - with people - and find which aspect suits you - i normally run "JUST", 4:3 gives no distortion - i do not use a cable box so best i get is 480i, with a box i would get 760i, with satellite i would get 1080i with full hd - at present time the ratio by broadcast is 760i -- daveg has more data on this to get things looking right on tv and my 21" monitor i had to settle on 1354/900 ken -
Without being "catty" most UK and Aussie actors that come to hollywood to do movies, tv shows etc speak perfect no accent "USA /CANADIAN English" when performing, yet when they are on a talk show they speak, their "native" accent - it is called training - singers are the same, there is no accent evident when singing, but their accent is also evident when in"public. so i suggest if you are really serious, you best enroll in that school Davy suggests Maybe when Igor comes up with this sound thing a few have been crying for, he could in corporate a "DE ACCENT" sound synthesizer -- maybe he could hook up with http://www.nuance.com/naturallyspeaking/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragon_NaturallySpeaking ken

Joanne I think RonnieWest can burn bluray with his version of nero -- he has been experimenting and i think he mentioned staying with nero so rather than have a bunch of freebie proggies to do things with, why would you not try to update your version of nero suite, you may think it is bloatware but it has all the features you will likely ever need and can access them from "thesmart start button" i am still using nero 6.6 that i bought many moons ago-i had been using easycd, bought easycd 7 but soon bought nero 6.6 just for the gui alone-very user friendly - it wont do bluray but does all need and if you are familiar with it, your update would have enhanced features and you would understand the gui - i think that is what Eric is trying to say a new system is bound to have growing pains 'tho from the newsgroups i read, there have been less win 7 complaints than what i have seen from other updates good luck ken
