  1. Al, normally that is done...but my wife decided to clean my "computer room" about 6 months and threw away (yes THREW AWAY) about 500 CD's with backup photos and programs. Needless to say, she does not throw anything away in my computer room anymore (and yes, we are still married). :-) It is my fault that I had not replaced those backups since she threw them away. Thanks again. Wally
  2. Igor, I have been busy recovering 2 hard drive failures and when I went to reinstall PTE...It said I needed the upgraded key. When I lost my hard drive, I also lost all my registration info... I have been a registered user of PTE since Version 1.0. Please help. Wally Jarratt searcysports@searcysports.com
  3. Unfortunately...at least in my experience (which seems to VAST now), AdAware might be OK on a new machine...but ONCE the ANNOYANCES have imbedded themselves on your computer...you are in trouble. Adaware cannot remove some things are already installed. For example...DSO Exploit and Common Hijacker programs are extremely difficult to get rid of. But the worse thing right now is the w32.spybot.worm worm that gets on your machine...they don't make a GOOD automatic removal tool to get rid of it...and if you follow the manual removal instructions...well, lets just say it is complimcated. To me...these pop windows, programs and worms are getting worse. Any tips and suggestions (even though this is not on subject of this forum) would be GREATLY appreciated by I know more than one or two forum members. Wally
  4. Actually, that is a very good idea. In fact, it would be VERY helpful if you could provide a "window" of use of the program both with and without the password. In other words, the presentation is provided to a customer using a timed expiration. For example you give them the presentation on June 1st and you set it to expire on June 30th, 2003. At that point, just like you stated, The password feature would kick in on July 1st, 2003. But if the programming could be done, you could also set the password feature to work PRIOR to June 1st. Is this possible?
  5. Igor, When considering options and features for version 3.90, how about the possibility of having a second comment line (area, section) for a secondary comment. This comment would be most helpful if it could be COPIED to all slides, and also if the comment could have the option of a VERTICAL and/or HORIZONTAL offset (for custom placement on the slide. Thanks and can't wait for the 3.90 betas to start coming in. Wally
  6. Sounds like an exciting year! Can't wait for more features and improvements on an otherwise great program...still, AFTER all these years...how many is it Igor? 3-4 years? Congratulations and thanks. Wally
