Greetings, I have many dozens of PTE shows on my Facebook site. I happened to browse through them yesterday and I noted that many dozens of them have the "Your video is partially muted because it may contain music that belongs to someone else" notice. I have been careful to use non-copyrighted music. However, I noticed many dozens of shows had this notice but the music source is non-copyrighted music. I was able to 'Restore Audio' and remove the notice for all of them. I am wondering if anyone else has noticed this out-of-the-blue muting of videos in Facebook. They originally were posted without this notice and suddenly I found, going back many years, the videos received this muting of the videos when they did not originally receive it. Gary

Greetings, Thanks to PTE that let me combine images and video clips from 5 different camera, some with different aspect ratios, adjust audio and apply text and animations. The next 7 videos are from our road-trip through Portugal. We took a 3 hour train ride and 980 miles of driving for our 18 day trip. Greetings Igor, That is really unfortunate. Having the ability to do Rotate within Framing would open up a lot for animating within Framing. I had hoped by now something would have made it possible to do this. I just don't like to use Mask for this purpose, especially when it has to be applied to many images/videos for minor horizontal corrections. But I keep my hopes up that one day, it can be done within Framing. Thanks...Gary

Greeting Tonton, I don't really understand what your examples are to represent. All I am asking for is the ability to apply Rotation in Framing (Zooming in a bit to remove any 'triangles'). The use of Masks has been suggested but I find them too difficult, cumbersome, especially when you are dealing with a multitude of images from different cameras and different aspect ratios. Being able to Rotate an image/video in Framing as easily as it is to do Zooms and Xs and Ys in Framing, would be the most helpful addition. Thanks...Gary

Greetings, You have missed the point. I like to set the image's Zoom to 98% and then set a .5 Border around the image, for example. You can't use C to just rotate the image within the Border. It rotates the image with the Border. I want to be able to rotate the image in Framing which will rotate the image within the Border. Gary

Greetings Igor, I now understand when you mentioned 'triangles' that you'd get when you rotate an image. For me, that is not a problem. All I have to do is to Zoom in a bit in PTE after Rotation (similar to getting the same results having to crop after you rotate in PS). But to so all this in PTE, makes easier work steps...Rotate/Zoom. And it is not a destructive process. Gary

Greetings Igor, All I'd like to have is the ability to Rotate an image/video when it is in Framing. I have a bad habit of not having my images level with the horizon so I have to bring each one into PS to correct it. But I have to try various %s just to get them close. Not a very precise method and time consuming. If Framing has the ability to Rotate, along with S, X & Y, it would save a lot of time and would be more precise, an allow more animation (within Framing). Farming is a great tool but just missing the Rotate function. Not sure about the "applying auto-sizing to the image to avoid black bars/triangles appearing around the edges of the object". I have not suggested that or understand what that would do. I usually just set my Aspect Ratio to 16:9 and go from there. Gary

Greetings Igor, Way back in 2019, I asked if you can add 'Rotate' in Framing. You said it was not possible in PTE10. I am asking again if it can be done with PTE12. It would be a very useful addition. Suggestions to do it with Masks or Styles have been made but I think having a Rotate in Framing would be very useful for images and video clips. Sure, I can bring the images into PS and rotate them there. I'd like to eliminate that step. Can't do that easily with video clips. Hope this is closer to a possibility... Gary

Greetings Dave, Seems you are wondering why I Zoom in (98%) on my images/videos and place a border around it. Yes, it is personal preference. When I look at a picture hanging on a wall, it usually has a frame around it. So for me, a white border with a black edge outside of it, is more natural to look at. Helps to constrain the eye into the 'box'. Having an outside border is not too important for me. I usually want to do some cropping using Framing once I've Zoomed in with my 98% (sometimes 95%) or so. This gives me the ability to not worry about cropping as I take the picture. I can always crop in ( and with x and y) with PTE. I added the Pan for the map just to have it a bit more centered at the end of the Zoom. Gary

Greetings Dave, Not sure what you mean by 'odd'. I get my 'map' from doing a screen-grab from Google Maps. It never is exactly the right aspect ratio. So I set the Aspect Ratio to 16:9 in PTE. I also like to Zoom in at about 98%, just to give a black frame around an added .5 Border. In order to Pan/Zoom into the map, I have to use Framing. I looked at your Style and don't really see the difference in the final result, except you have a blurred background image with Shadow. You used Framing, too, so not sure what the difference really is. Yes, mine is not too fancy, but I'm learning... Just about finished with a 7 part project of trip to Portugal, so just glad it's almost done. Gary

Greetings Jill, Ok...think I got it. I added 'Animation Speed Smooth' to the Map's Framing (this is what I didn't notice need to be done...in Framing). I added 'Animation Speed Smooth' to the Text's Pan. But the Text did not follow correctly. 'Lisbon' moved to the right a bit, then back to the left. So I also added it to the Text's Zoom, too. Greetings, Yes, putting in Keyframe 1 is just a habit. I 'fixed' it and removed all of the modifiers, because I don't see any difference with or without them. I remember that we have been told, when you add a modifier, you should add it to each of the keyframe's animations (zoom, pan and rotate) whether you are using them or not. So, as I've said, I don't really understand how to use them. What I am trying to do is to have Keyframes 1 (map and text) not start to move so abruptly. Will this do? I dumped everything else in the project except this one image in a Zip. But I did try to do the same thing in a new project with only this map and it did work correctly. Greetings, Normally, when text is a child of an image, the text would move with the Panning/Zooming of the image. But, now, I can't seem to get this to work. What am I doing wrong? The text just stays where it is originally placed on the image and does not stick with the original position when panning/zooming of the image. Gary

Greetings, On a new project, I'm getting used to using the Create Quick Style. Works great. However, I added the same video clip a second time and trimmed it using the Adjust Time Range (ATR). When I applied a style I made from using the Create Quick Style, it did not accept the trim I had made using the ATR. Kinda strange because it worked with the initial use of the same video clip. This seemed to happen only when I used the same video clip the second time, which had been trimmed it with ATR. Can the Create Quick Style be made to include any trimming made with ATR, when using the Create Quick Style on the same clip a second time? Gary

Greetings, I know that Adjust Time Range is not physically altering the clips length. That's why I like to use it on the original clip while in the Slides. We will agree to disagree on the 'complicating' thing. My way is so much less complicated. It would delete the larger original file that you don't need anymore with one click, and should replace the larger file in the Slides. Your way leaves the original file in the project folder and then you have to them delete that file you don't need (since it is saved elsewhere) and not having duplicate large files. But you didn't answer why it apparently is allowing you to overwrite the file with the '.convert' removed...but it corrupts it, even though we can do Renaming elsewhere. Convert allows me to add an 'x' to filename (GX011552.convertx.mp4), but not remove the '.convert'. The converted file is corrupted. Does not make sense. Gary

Greetings, Ok...but why does it ask if you want to overwrite the filename when I remove the '.convert'? I am trying to retain the original filename by removing the '.convert' when I do the Convert, so in my mind, I am not 'changing' the original filename...just keeping it. Also, PTE does have a Rename File choice and it works. Slide Options also lets me change the name of a slide in the Slides: Yes, I have the original files saved elsewhere. The purpose of this is to save some steps. If I can overwrite (or save) the converted file (smaller sized) over the original (larger sized) file, without the '.convert' in the filename, that saves me several steps. I sometimes drag down the original larger sized file into the Slides and do some trimming with the Adjust Time Range. So this has now set the length of the video clip. By doing this, I have set the final length of the video clip in the Slides...but now I want to just replace it with a a reduced file size by the Convert. By overwriting the larger sized file in the Slides with the Convert, and removing the '.convert', I have (I try to) removed the original larger file with the overwrite, replacing it with the smaller sized file. So I have the original larger sized file automatically replaced in the Slides with the smaller sized file. I don't need the larger sized file in my project folder anymore. But doing this will corrupt the file. Why? There is significant savings in space by doing a Convert. I see no loss in quality. It would be more efficient if we could do the Convert and overwrite the original file with the converted file, while removing the '.convert'. Some examples of file size differences: Gary

Greetings Jill, No, I think you're missing the point. I don't want to change the filename. In fact, I want to keep the original filename without putting the '.convert' put in the filename when I convert it. I do keep the original clip in a separate folder. The Convert process does ask if I want to overwrite the file if I try to remove the '.convert', so it should just overwrite the file without the '.convert' being added, without corrupting it. Yes, normally, if I have the original file in the Slides, I can first just convert the clip in the File List and then replace the original clip that's in the Slides with the '.convert' clip. Then delete the original clip in the File List. If I have the original clip saved elsewhere, I don't need the original clip anymore so it would save key clicks if I can just overwrite the clip in the File List in one move and it is reflected in the Slides. But for sure, if I say yes to 'overwrite, it should not corrupt the file. And, then, if I try to Rename the converted file, using PTE, to remove the '.convert', the filename with the '.convert', leaves only the '.mp4' part. Something is not right here. Gary

Greetings, I dragged down a video clip into the Slides. But then I want to Convert that clip to reduce its size. But I want to have the '.convert' removed from the filename when I do this and just overwrite the file. So I edited out the '.convert' part. It asks if I want to overwrite it and I say Yes. But after the Converting, the filename keeps the '.converted' and I get 'Video not found', even though the filename in the File List and the Slides has the '.converted' in the clip's name. It does not keep the '.converted' out of the filename. So it seems the Convert process is not overwriting the clip's name without the '.convert' as I had tried to do. And it corrupts the file. It would be nice if Convert would actually overwrite the filename without the '.convert'. And not cause the corruption of the file. Gary

Greetings Mark, Yes, they could have been an issue if the shows would not actually play. But that was not the case. I was only interested in the final file size and quality results from the Publish process. But I don't see any difference between the 'high' quality and the 'low' quality setting's results. Maybe if I were to play them on big screen, it would make a difference. I only upload my shows to my Facebook or YouTube channel. Good enough for me. Thanks... Gary

Greetings Igor and others, In the end, I want to see if I can actually see any difference using different settings when I Publish an MP4 show. I Published the same show 3 times at 60p at different other settings. I really could not tell the difference between the highest 'HQ 3840x2169 at 34 Mb/s' compared with lowest 'LQ 1920x1080 at 4.485 kb/s'. And, since they are viewed on my Facebook or my YouTube channel, where I think they would even get reduced to the same resolution, I don't see any advantage of the additional time and file size needed to Publish at the highest settings. Just what I see but I can be persuaded to do it differently if I could see a difference. Thanks, Gary
