Hi, I've been reading a lot about image sizes and jpeg compression (in order to get the exe to a decent size). I was wondering whether someone has experience how these 'reduced' images look when send through a beamer onto a bigger screen: does it still look OK? Best regards, Bart

When watching some PTE slideshows available at links presented in this forum I noticed that some of the shows actually seem to capture the screen at the moment the show starts up and does a fade out. I was wondering how this effect is achieved. PTE is a very nice program and the information found here is very valuable: thanks for sharing this. Regards, Bart

Is there any possibility to animate the captions that can entered as comment to the slides in the show and that the position of the caption is free rather then the fixed positions currently available? This would allow to animate text captions according to the contents and add a certain flavor to the overall slideshow. In any case I would like to congratulate the makers of this very handy program for the enthusiams and (most probably) the hard work put into it. It is highly appreciated. I recommend PTE to persons asking for a slideshow program. I've tried a few and PTE is the only program that does not seem to be affected by the number of slides - and transitions - present in the show. Regards, Bart

Hi Al, Thanks for your post. Actually I was aware of this facility however I would like to use several audio files and have some of them go together with a certain set of images. As far as I can see the only way to achieve this is by using another program and 'stitching' all the audio files into one big soundtrack and then use this option. The problem here is that you have no correlation between these programs and you have to compute when the transitions will occur and hope for the best. I would like to circumvent this trial and error way of working. What I also noticed is, when run on different computers, the music and the slides tend to off sync (so not using the option you proposed here). Best regards, Bart

Hi, I have been using PTE some time now and I realy like it. With PTE you have value for money. One reauest I have has to do with music. I would like to be able to 'edit' the music in the show. Now if you want different pieces of music in the show you can add them all but the timing of the pictures does not seem to be aligned with the slides. When I start the show anywhere (e.g. at slide 125) the music always starts playng from the beginning. When you start the show from the beginning slide 125 would only appear after, say, 10 minutes. That means that after 10 minutes other music from the playlist will be active. Is there no way to aling these (e.g. by some time line)? Regards, Bart
