I *think* it was OK in 10.0.8. When I loaded the project in 10.0.9 it was rotated 90 degrees. It does not rotate in other image viewing applications. It does auto rotate in PTE 9. I'm guessing there is some rotate metadata? If I save the image in Irfanview it fixes the rotation and displays properly. Here is the image from pixabay that auto rotates. Thanks, Tom

Interesting. I didn't know that about his childhood. He has quite a kick at the end of the race. I think almost everyone underestimated covid-19. We need to plan ahead for the next cycle. More testing, medical supplies, ventilators, and hopefully a vaccine. Thanks, Tom

You might want to install the demo version of PTE AV Studio 10 and see if color management fixes the problem. https://www.wnsoft.com/en/pte-av-studio/download/

No photographs, just animation and video. I remember watching Dave Wottle run in the Olympics. He seemed more like a weekend jogger because of his baseball cap he wore in races. Thanks, Tom https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9T997zZxG50

Real text outline is a good idea. Adobe Premiere has layer blend modes. It's an option, not a requirement. Maybe possible, maybe impossible. I hope PTE never stops evolving. Tom

My mother used to say "if wishes were horses, beggars would ride". Not sure how hard it would be to implement layer blending. If it is something the GPU could accomplish maybe it would not slow down the PTE engine. Tom

Hi Barry, Nice demo of blend modes. Years ago I submitted a suggestion for layer blend modes in PTE (overlay, multiply, ...) . Then you would not have to use Photoshop for the third image and could create custom transitions. Thanks, Tom

Simple Zoom Pan, Spin, Dissolve 16x9 transitions

Hi Rosemary, Yes. It will be fun to go outside again. Thanks, Tom -
Very inspirational. I think we should try to take better care of the planet. We can already detect less air pollution due to recent changes in the amount of travel. Thanks, Tom
-
Someone else has probably made this transition before but I was getting bored so decided to have some fun. Zoom is 65%. I was watching the Backstreet Boys living room concert video and noticed a similar transition. Media from pixabay.com. Background is black unless you add a gradient like I did for sample video. Update: I decided to create Zoom Spin and Zoom Dissolve transitions. Thanks, Tom ZoomPan 16x9.pteeff ZoomSpin 16x9.pteeff Zoom Dissolve 16x9.pteeff

Hi MUR, Very nice. The flames look real. I like how you used the video both as a mask and content. By adding color correction to the video mask you can make the fire even more intense. Thanks, Tom
-
I have added a helicopter to the list of aircraft. It is a little more difficult due to the mask shape and 2 opacity values. Thanks, Tom Aircraft2.pteeff helicopters_main_rotor_blades.svg

Hi MUR, I have not tried a fire transition. Sounds interesting. I hope you post it to the forum when it's finished. DaveGee created a bicycle silhouette transition about a year ago. Thanks, Tom

Playing with my vector editor (boxy-svg) and I decided to try and create a plane. SVG vector file attached (visible in any modern web browser) in case anyone wants to improve on the design. Simple pan of mask behind plane. Images from pixabay.com. Thanks, Tom https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F9Cx25brOUE Aircraft.pteeff pte_jet_transition.svg

Hi Mur, At first I wondered why you created a zip file for a pteff file (which is already a zip file). After discovering it was a .pte project file (text) it made sense. Interesting how you added a second copy of both slides so that it appears to be a transition when it's more like a style. The X zoom is very accurate and smooth. It's amazing what you can do with PTE. Thanks, Tom

Damping tennis ball and random patterns look great. I never thought about adjusting modifiers inside text editor/spreadsheet or exposing variables by adding pinfo inputs. Interesting.... Thanks, Tom
-
It's amazing what a modifier can do when used with object time range and shift to simulate a keyframe. Practicing animation with PTE helps distract me from watching too much covid-19 news. Thanks, Tom
-
Thanks. It's fun to experiment with all of the features in PTE. Tom

Maybe easier to adjust grid using click and drag method. Another option might be a temporary blue line displayed when items are aligned or adjustable guide (requested before). Thanks, Tom 2020-03-21_14-20-34.mp4

Great slideshow. Pixabay has some really nice images and SVG objects. Have not tried their videos. Covid-19 has been rough and it's a good example of the butterfly effect and how small change can turn into something bigger. Maybe if there were more vegans we would all be healthier. Thanks, Tom

Emojis are currently (10.0.8) not supported in PTE. That does not mean they can't be used as a bitmap image. My favorite SVG editor Boxy SVG can convert objects including text and color emojis into transparent PNG format. There are probably many other graphic editors that can also do the same thing. Some of them lose color. To bring up the emoji pop up window just press windows + period keys. Thanks, Tom

Fill a rectangle with texture and image from file
tom95521 replied to vbl2007's topic in Suggestions for Next Versions
If you use a mask you can fill it with a bitmap image. It might work until there is a bitmap fill option. Tom -
Hi Peter, Glad to be of help. There are many others (Igor, Lin, DaveGee, ...) who can provide more technical assistance. It's just a fun hobby for me. Thanks, Tom

Testing animation modifiers. It's much easier to animate without keyframes using just modifiers. Short example using rotate, pan, opacity. Gears created in Inkscape. PNG bitmaps and SVG vector objects from Pixabay. SVG editor from Boxy SVG. YouTube thumbnail created with PotPlayer. Tom

Hi Dom, Come back and visit whenever you can. Your styles have always been popular with forum members. Hope you can find time to update/create new styles and transitions. Thanks, Tom
