  1. I was hoping for a bitmap to vector converter feature but no such luck. I have other apps that can do this. The panorama auto stitching is pretty good in Affinity Photo app. I currently only use Android devices but I will probably purchase the upgrade. The Universal license is pretty liberal, use on as many devices as you own by any family members but only you can use it for commercial use. Thanks, Tom
  2. The new RX 7000 series GPUs will support AV1 encode. I think this is the first GPU chiplet design with both 5 nm and 6 nm chips. One chip has 20GB or more of fast DDR6 memory. Also support 8K monitors at 60 fps or higher. It will be interesting to see a performance comparison with the Nvidia RTX 4090. The power required (350W+) is probably 5 times as much as my Mac mini M1 computer. I can remember years ago when PTE was relatively new and the GPUs back then only had 256 MB of memory. I hope when AV1 is more common then PTE will have an AV1 HW encode option. Most of the software encoders I have tried are slow. https://www.amd.com/en/technologies/rdna Tom

  7. Good news. I updated my Mac mini M1 today. I have been testing PTE 10 and 11. I have not found any problems. Everything appears to be working perfectly. Tom

  9. Test style with displacement map. The reflection is not correct. Probably needs to be inside another mask. Just a concept. Feel free to improve. Water Normal Map from here.   10. Does anyone have experience with a Ryzen 7 5700G computer or USB touchscreen monitors? Any problems and do they work well together? This would be a 1920x1080 touchscreen monitor, not 4K. Not for me, but for my wife. Not a multimedia content creator. Thanks, Tom
  11. I'm still mad at Symantec for buying Sygate back in 2005 (my favorite software firewall) and dropping it after purchase to avoid competing with their own product. That was a great firewall program for Windows at the time. Tom

  13. Hi Denis, I hope Igor adds these transitions you created to PTE. They are really good. Mine are okay but not quite perfect. I'm scheduled to get refraction correction/lens replacement surgery (Alcon Vivity) and hope it will improve my vision. Thanks, Tom

  18. I have fixed the rain shift problem (in all the transitions) due to incorrect opacity values and displacement map strength. I also experimented with water transition based on filter forge tropical water bump map. There are 3 variations. From mild 1 x 100 = 1 cycle with strength 100 To strong 7 x 300 = 7 cycles with strength 300 There are also 3 extra versions that have x 360 for rotation of normal maps for strange effect.   20. I think this is a bug but not sure. It might be due to me changing Slide 1 transition. I saved the project and exited PTE 11. Then I open the project and the Project Options does not show the Slide Option. 11 Beta 1 Mac M1 Mini Monterey 12.6 Tom

  22. Today is my farming day but I will look into this when I return. I think I added a neutral grey (RGB 128) behind the slides because when cross fading between slides it appeared darker than either slide. I think I can fix the problems. Thanks, Tom Update: I now keep slide 2 at 100% opacity to fix the cross fade. I think this solves the problem and how the PTE dissolve transition works.   24. First attempt needs work. I think the normal map displacement is reversing so I tried to emulate by using 2 normal maps and oscillating opacity 50 percent out of phase. Tom
