Natiek: I just missed Odessa by a few miles when I visited Watkins Glenn in November. Well researched production You certainly made full use of many of the software's features. I fully understand why today a production needs to relatively fast paced, which you did here. Being on old guy I still like the simple fades and a bit longer to look at the images. Well produced

Thx for info re colourization. Good luck with the music. It is 50% of the AV presentation and can make or break a production. Be aware that sometimes You Tube will nail you for copyrighted music even though you bought it as royalty free. That happened to me twice (a longish time ago). And even happened to the composer of the music when he used it in a You Tube video. As Xenofex2 mentioned above, the music was OK for this show, but you might be surprised at the difference if you found music that would synch with the image transitions.

Finding music is a BIG job, I spent hours going through my CDs to find music. Most of it was copyrighted, but not all. I didn't worry about copyrighted music much at the time as my shows were not made publicly available. I presented them live to "private" audiences. You Tube can spot a copyrighted tune in seconds. You Tube does have a library of copyright free music, and there are websites with copyright free music, some free, some not. Colourization story- I would like to know how the colourization was done. By yourself, by photoshop, or..... Exposure - some of the tractor shots, especially the close ups if I remember correctly, were very bright, almost looked lit by flash. The overall shots were not as bright. It isn't a big deal, but just one of the finer points to having the images blend better. I also meant to say it was too bad the tractors were left out in the elements like that.

Very nice show, wonderful images. A few comments: - The opening title is difficult to read. Needs a more contrasting colour. - It would be nice to have the transitions synch with the music. Not sure it that would work with that music. - The background story on the colourizations would be nice - Exposures on the rusting tractors is inconsistent Very subtle use of Ken Burns effect. Not sure it adds much, but might keep some people more tuned it.

YOU TUBE Ads -- I have over 200 short video (not AV shows) on You Tube. I am not aware that ads have ever been run with my videos. That might change now that I say this

I haven't done an AV show for a while now, but I still watch as many as I can..... I'm with you re "strange movements". Just because you can doesn't mean you should. By Ken Burns effect I am assuming you are referring to pan/zoom. Personally when I watch an AV I prefer no pan/zooming but I fully agree with it when you want the viewer to get an overall look and then zoom into an important aspect of an image. Using the Ken Burns effect on every picture make no sense to me (But I know many will disagree). Use it to sparingly add variety throughout the presentation If I were doing an presentation on early farming, particularly from glass negatives, I would just use a simple fade transition with no movement. But if there were one or two images that had an important/very interesting aspect to it, then sure use the effect, but use it slowly. That's my thinking anyway (knowing I am perhaps "old school"

Nicely done, no fancy transitions/effects - just presents the nice images with no distractions - my kind of slideshow -
Thanks for volunteering. Nice AV

Bet you were there a long time making images. So many to find.

Very nicely photographed (even the accidental image) and then excellently carried through the production process. It's been a long while since I have done an AV and I see a lot of progress has been made with the software. (I started with PTE 1.0 and then stopped producing at PTE 8.0) Almost makes me want to get back into it!!!!!! Thanks for the two productions

Nicely done Barry! Nice sequencing and transitions. Too many people go the route of "look what I can do Mom!" with all that is available to them. I assume you are creating your own music for your AV's?

Good demo of the power of PTE

Trés bien Dan!! Must have been quite a lot of work as you say digitizing the images. The productions are very well done. Merci

Well done Bert. Certainly is an interesting temple.
