  1. It is not a PTE thing - it is WINDOWS.
  2. Igor, I am not seeing this slow behaviour. Very fast here. DG
  3. Just create the folder in Windows Explorer and Save to it. It will remember that folder. I have mine in Documents / Projects. There are some options in Settings / Preferences which you might want to look at. DG
  4. Also take a look at some of Pascal's Styles at https://diaporashop.com/en/ DG
  5. Forgive me if this has already been mentioned, but I take it that you have checked your “junk mail” folder?? DG
  6. Firmware Updates are available for Nikon Z6, 7 and 50 HERE. NX-D and VNxi updates also available at the same address. DG
  7. Tom, Nice idea and I thought that it deserved some feedback but it looks as though you are getting very little in that respect. I thought that it needed to be slower and I set it to about 4-6 seconds when applying. It also occurred to me that if you ended the weave before the 2 second KF and faded a copy of slide 2 in over the top it would be less abrupt at the end. Well done. DG
  8. I think that Barry Beckham has a video dealing with this sbject? https://docs.pteavstudio.com/en-us/10.0/how_to_v10/beckham_3 See "Picture in Picture". DG
  9. Tom, Your STAR (for some reason) produces a ghost of slide 1 when used in a Mask. I thought at first that it was because your white star is not 255 and is Grey Scale etc but I cured all of that and still cannot eliminate the ghost. Thinking about it. Richard, your star JUST fails to cover the whole frame at the end of the transition (bottom right corner). Minor, but can be easily fixed. It also has a "stroke line" around the shape. DG P.S. Tom, I made sure that the white was white, deleted the BLACK content and saved as a transparent PNG and it cured the ghosting.
  10. That would make a nice addition to the built-in transitions. I like it. DG
  11. WHEN is it "moving away"? Are you doing something like re-positioning the slide in the Timeline? Providing a screen shot of the O&A including the waveform might help. DG
  12. Think about it? That is probably the one place it will not work. If you add the blank anywhere else and allow the for the Transition Duration when choosing the cursor position it will work without the Red overlap warning. I do not use the Timeline for adding slides - I use the Slide List (personal preference)
  13. In the Timeline it will always be "dropped" according to the Cursor position that you chose and if your Transition Duration is such that it overlaps another slide then that is what you will get. Most people use the Slide List for this but some use the Timeline quite happily and with no problem. Once you understand what you are seeing and doing it will eventually become clear. DG
  14. 4K Video for WEB use? DG
  15. With regard to the highlighted slide. Use right click Menu and Insert Blank Slide or Alt+S. The Blank Slide will be placed before the highlighted slide. https://docs.picturestoexe.com/en-us/10.0/main_menu_1/slide Read the Search Tips. DG
  16. Inova, Igor has promised to update PTE's text capabilities in the next major update(s). Version 11 of 12 perhaps? Meanwhile most of the clever things that you might want to do CAN be done manually or by using third party software. DG
  17. Andreas, Is that not counterproductive? If the user applies a Style to a blank image which was clearly intended for use with a Main Image why add a blank slide? As indicated by Barry, surely it is user error and needs to be treated by the software as such. DG
  18. I think that you have got it absolutely right. But you can achieve it AND use Save For The Web. It is an extremely useful tool. Being able to SEE any artefacts or lack of them is a big plus. If your output is mp4 or an EXE for your own use, then I agree, set everything to 100%. DG
  19. No Lin, On my system there is a very short delay between the 6000x4000 Original and the Optimised appearing but no error messages. DG
  20. Hi Tom, I am sure that Barry will also find your comment about his accent as amusing as I do. Those who know him will tell you that he has lost very little of his original accent during his "brief" stay in Australia. DG
  21. Hi Ian, The only negative reference to "Save for the Web" that I can find is yours and that is what I replied to. I agree with Jill, albeit that I use a higher percentage than her purely as a safety net. I think, if you are going to condemn a process that I and many others use regularly, that you need to substantiate it. I am open to persuasion. DG
  22. You have to pay the UPGRADE price every time there is a Major Upgrade e.g. Version 10 to Version 11. There are always major improvements which make the UPGRADE worthwhile. If you do not agree then you could carry on using Version 10. There is no fixed time, but 2 years seems about right. DG
  23. Ian, can you elaborate? are you saying that you do not use JPEG? or that you set quality = 100? Whatever method of saving as a JPEG you use you are offered a quality setting which you can usually adjust to your requirements. the beauty of Save for the Web is that it lets you SEE whether you will generate unwanted artifacts. For maximum quality/minimum compression set quality = 100. It is the same as any other method. With the same image, Using Save As quality 12 = 1.09mb Using SFTW quality 100 = 1.09mb Cannot see ANY difference between the two. Where is the problem? DG
  24. Hi Tom, See final post here: https://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/topic/19553-strips-no-masks/?do=findComment&comment=131680 DG
  25. Igor, See PM. DG
