PTE shadow DOES work with video clips. DG

Does it really matter whether we use a rectangle or another incidence of the Main Image from which to generate the shadow? Likewise, does it matter whether we use blur or the built shadow profiles? There are no hard and fast rules about it and if we find a set of parameters that work for us as individuals then perhaps that is the way to go. Regarding PTE shadow styles, I think that Mur has done some work with these and could be persuaded to share his findings. It is relatively easy to demonstrate the different profiles but finding a use for them is a different matter. DG

Bruno, There are times when the opacity of a shadow needs to be controlled via a number of KF, such as during a transition where the image/object is a percentage of full screen. Using a rectangle allows you to do that. The shadow, in O&A Properties, has limitations so I have ceased using it some time ago. The Rectangle is much more versatile. It is Barry's video and he chose to use a rectangle and share his thoughts about it. There is nothing stopping any of us from posting an alternative if we so wish. DG

Geoff, The image name appearing with each individual image is a function of the various Styles which are included in the Theme. The Theme can be thought of as the Master Folder which contains Sub-Folders (Styles). Can you first create a Style or Styles which adds the name? DG

All other considerations aside, how much more difficult would it be to add a suffix to each different version of an image/file? Putting different versions of a file in different folders with the same name is (IMHO) a recipe for disaster. If Igor can rename each duplicate file in the BIZ AND change the path for the duplicated (renamed) file in the project .pte file in the BIZ, then that would appear to be the way to go for those who cannot organise their files better.

That was not my experience - I trimmed both ends of the Video and the sound was maintained. DG P.S. Just tried it again - same result - Sound OK.

Igor, In the case of there being two different images with the same name and option 2 would not the .PTE file (in a BIZ ) use one file incorrectly?? DG

I think (?) that when you update Photoshop to V21, ACR (latest version) is included. I didn't update my ACR separately but my version is 12. The default installation seems to be to install V21 alongside the previous version so any Desktop or Task Bar Shortcuts will need to be renewed. I have never used Lightroom (or Bridge). DG

Firstly, did you mean a DVD? Possibly, if the author used Videobuilder, the wrong choices were made for playing in the USA, or maybe the author did not intend that the disc find its way to the USA. A far better solution is to make an MP4 and write it as data to a CD/DVD. Alternatively the author could upload to YouTube or Vimeo for instant viewing. MP4 files have no international boundaries whereas a DVD does.

P.s. I am puzzled by the resolution of your video? If you are using 3:2 images and/or video then why not use them as 1620x1080 in a 1920x1080 project? Can you explain a little more about the resolution of your source video/images and your project resolution? DG
