POst the Style here. DG
-
No, these are built in Styles and Igor has disabled Export and Editing for them. If you apply those Styles you can Create a new Style from them using your own name, category etc. and export the result. Check that there are no reference images and deal with any necessary Main Image associations. Read the Online Help. DG

Tools/Export or right click menu in the Styles Window. You can export individual Styles or complete Categories. Set up a folder for exported styles on your data drive and also save downloaded Styles to the same folder. You can then Import these Styles and Categories via the Styles Window. Same thing applies to Custom Transitions. https://docs.picturestoexe.com/en-us/9.0/slide-styles/main DG P.S. You can also go to Settings/Preferences/Templates and set the "Folder for Custom Slide Styles" and "Folder for Custom Transition Effects" to something other than ..........Documents/PicturesToExe/........ If you have already done this - that might be your problem.

Hi John, I agree, but I think that the point is that as PTE evolves it becomes more difficult to maintain compatibility with older equipment - not impossible though. DG

Cavefolk, You pte6 license will not work with the latest version. You will need to upgrade. https://www.wnsoft.com/en/picturestoexe/buy/ DG

Why so? It is an evolving technology but it requires that you keep up with it. You have bought a BR player and are able to play mp4. BR Players capable of doing this are not expensive. Mine was a bargain discontinued Sony model which I bought at my local supermarket for around £40 - it even has dual usb ports (back and front). When it comes to TVs it depends on what size you "must" have and whether you require 4k, 3d and all of the bells and whistles. If you can live with 32" HD you can get everything that you want including USB recording / playback for around £400. DG

The latest TVs can not only play MP4 from usb but can record to usb. I will possibly be investing in this technology ealy in 2018. We discussed this a while ago and I found that there are two ways to play MP4 from a BR Player connected to an older TV via HDMI. The easiest way is to plug a usb stick into the BR Player and start the video from there. I was surprised to find (at that time) that a BR Player will also play an MP4 which is written as data to a DVD. I seem to remember that it was also possible with the latest generation of Standard DVD Players. Perhaps someone else remembers. I have not burned a DVD from PTE in a long time! DG

I think that this Transition is something near to what you want? DG

In O&A Animation (or the CT Editor) use "Centre" and "Pan" to shift the point of rotation to an edge or somewhere other than the centre. In O&A Properties (or the CT Editor) use "Image Crop" to prepare the two "Barn Doors" with their centre moved to the appropriate edge. The Left door would have zero removed from the left and 50% from the Right (and vice versa). DG

A further example. Apply the Style to a Blank Slide. These are just Ideas - feel free to change any element. Individual Styles can be saved from the result of this style. Slide one uses Photoshop Text and Slide two uses PTE Text. See the PDF in Post one for creating Photoshop Text for this purpose. See Through Text Demo.ptestyle DG P.S. Perhaps, in a future version of PTE, these "workarounds" will not be necessary.

Eight Styles suitable for each of the five default Aspect Ratios (40 variations). The Aspect Ratio of the Project is selected automatically. A "Stroke Line" is Photoshop Speak for a Line/Border/Frame positioned within the confines of an Image/Selection. The Aspect Ratio of the Image to which the Stroke Line is applied (including the Stroke Line) does not change. If an Image created by using one of these Styles is Zoomed to more than 100% then the Stroke Line disappears. Hence the need for the "Overlay" Style in some cases. The thickness (and colour) of the Stroke Line is easily changed in the Properties Tab of Objects and Animation. Change all of the 3's or 6's to something else. In the case of the 80%, 90% and 100% of Full Screen Styles the Images can be Zoomed within the Stroke Line using the "Framing" Controls in the Animation Tab of Objects and Animation. The 80% and 90% Versions (with Background Image) are compatible with "Advanced" Custom Transitons. Stroke Line.ptestyle Feel free to Edit or Adjust any of the parameters and save the Style using a new name and be sure to use your own name as Author. For example I have not added Shadow to any of these Styles. DG

Can you upload one of the problem shows to somewhere that we can download from? It might then be possible to identify the problem. DG
-
Wendy, Can you give some details of the pc on which you are getting the problems? Then some detail of the file sizes of the shows. Are you using high res images SOOC or sizing the images to suit the pc monitor? DG

Can I quote you in the Online Help? DG -
Using the same procedure as for the Curling Page, here's a Pipe. It's in the early stages. It needs a powerful graphics card - I think. Pipe Dream Project.zip DG

Hi Ray, Sorry, these Version 9 Styles are not backwards compatible. Why have you not upgraded to Version 9? There is much that you could benefit from. DG

Mur, You can see the construction by taking the Custom Transition into EDIT mode. Look at the Online Help. DG
