I have always used the MEDIA PLAYER in my Sony HD TV to play MP4 from a USB Key. I put a UHD MP4 made with PTE onto a Key and tried to play it. I hoped that the Media Player was clever enough to be able to convert that 3840x2160 MP4 back to 1920x1080 and play it. But, it is not clever enough or perhaps the TV is not new enough. I got the "Unsupported Content" message presumably meaning that the Media Player does not support anything bigger than 1920x1080 MP4s. I will do a little more research into newer HD TVs to see if they are able to do this. If you have any thoughts I would like to hear them? DG

Igor, My Sony TV will not recognise the MP4 - "Unsupported Content". Not surprising perhaps, because it is HD and not UHD, but I was hoping that the Media Player would convert the File from 3840x2160 to 1920x1080. A 1920x1080 MP4 made from the same 3840x2160 images plays OK (obviously) DG

All that is needed - in this case - is to Search the Online Help for "Two Pass" (including the quotation marks. DG -
Where do I find the 2 pass video encoding Option for PTE9.0.5

Select Custom in the Dropdown Menu. Then change the Mode to Bit Rate. DG http://docs.picturestoexe.com/en-us/9.0/videobuilder/main#hd_video -
Claudio, Think of it as a re-organisation of the elements which were available to you in V8. You add KF to the Mask itself and not to the Stencil. Apply this style as per instructions in the style and Analyse in O&A. Masks - Mask Template.ptestyle DG

Can you make the ISO (Untick everything else)? What is the file size? Create the ten sequences as MP4 and write to a DVD as Data. A Modern DVD Player will play the MP4 Files from the DVD. DG

I have not been able to repeat it but I am still working on the same CT. DG

Long overdue recognition of Maureen's talents. DG

Igor, The Right Click option to "Convert Video File" is missing in O&A Objects Panel. It was there in V8. Is this deliberate? DG

Jeff, You might be right about the Omission. I will pose the question in Troubleshooting. DG

Loved the "Ken Burns" bits. DG

Right click on the video in the File List. Why convert when it is already in the Slide List or in O&A? When you drag into the Slide List you are offered the option to Convert or use the Original. The best option is to Convert before adding/dragging into the Slide List (IMHO). DG

Hi Jeff, Check again - In V9 on my Laptop (W10) it shows in the Right Click Menu. It is between EDIT and SELECT ALL. DG P.S. The figures need updating to V9 so I will do it anyway.

Thanks Jeff, I will update that asap. DG

Jeff, The How To''s are split between V8 and V9 and are being updated. The procedure is the same albeit that the layout is different. DG

The Style illustrates some suggestions as to how Modifiers can be used with Changes in Opacity. Add a blank Slide to a 16:9 Project and apply the Style. Three examples are given but the possibilities are greater. Opacity _ Modifiers.ptestyle DG

Some figures - make of them what you will. I added ten 3840x2160 images to a 16:9 Project and made a test UHD MP4 at default settings. It took 5m 07s and the file size is 120Mb. I then made a HD MP4 from the same project at default settings. It took 1m 49s and the file size is 33Mb. Both play equally well on my laptop. I expected them to both "look" the same on the 1920x1080 Laptop Screen but the 4K version seemed to look (marginally) better than the the 1920x1080 version - could that be??
