  1. Jan, When you add the video to the Slide List does PTE ask if you want to "Convert" it?? Do you "Convert" it?? DG
  2. Does PTE ask if you want to "Convert" the Video?? Do you convert the Video?? If the MOV file is only 11 seconds (or less) can you post it (with a link) so that someone here can look at it?? DG
  3. Frans, Please explain "A UHD MP4 does not play on a 64 bit laptop with a 1920x1080 screen" ?? It plays fine on my Laptop albeit at 1920x1080. Do you get an error message or a crash? DG
  4. Gary, I might be wrong but I don't think that your Card's Highest Resolution has to be 1920x1080. If you connect it to a Monitor with a higher resolution via HDMI it will recognise it and set that resolution. But it will not pump out 3840x2160 if you are connected to a 1920x1080 Monitor. I would not buy a 4K TV "hoping" that your last statement is correct - I would want to try it first in the showroom with a USB Key. DG
  5. A UHD MP4 plays fine on my laptop with its 1920x1080 screen because it is being compressed/converted by the graphics card. So connecting it via HDMI to the HD TV is not going to change anything unless the TV (or monitor) has a native resolution of 3840x2160 and the Laptop is set accordingly. When you connect your Laptop to the HD TV, what resolution is set? DG
  6. Did that a few years ago. Too many disadvantages. MP4 on a USB key is best option for HD TV. DG
  7. Main Window: http://docs.picturestoexe.com/en-us/9.0/main-window/main O&A: http://docs.picturestoexe.com/en-us/9.0/objectsandanimation/main Etc: http://docs.picturestoexe.com/en-us/9.0/main DG
  8. I have always used the MEDIA PLAYER in my Sony HD TV to play MP4 from a USB Key. I put a UHD MP4 made with PTE onto a Key and tried to play it. I hoped that the Media Player was clever enough to be able to convert that 3840x2160 MP4 back to 1920x1080 and play it. But, it is not clever enough or perhaps the TV is not new enough. I got the "Unsupported Content" message presumably meaning that the Media Player does not support anything bigger than 1920x1080 MP4s. I will do a little more research into newer HD TVs to see if they are able to do this. If you have any thoughts I would like to hear them? DG
  9. Igor, My Sony TV will not recognise the MP4 - "Unsupported Content". Not surprising perhaps, because it is HD and not UHD, but I was hoping that the Media Player would convert the File from 3840x2160 to 1920x1080. A 1920x1080 MP4 made from the same 3840x2160 images plays OK (obviously) DG
  10. All that is needed - in this case - is to Search the Online Help for "Two Pass" (including the quotation marks. DG
  11. Select Custom in the Dropdown Menu. Then change the Mode to Bit Rate. DG http://docs.picturestoexe.com/en-us/9.0/videobuilder/main#hd_video
  12. Claudio, Think of it as a re-organisation of the elements which were available to you in V8. You add KF to the Mask itself and not to the Stencil. Apply this style as per instructions in the style and Analyse in O&A. Masks - Mask Template.ptestyle DG
  13. Can you make the ISO (Untick everything else)? What is the file size? Create the ten sequences as MP4 and write to a DVD as Data. A Modern DVD Player will play the MP4 Files from the DVD. DG
  14. I have not been able to repeat it but I am still working on the same CT. DG
  15. Immediately after editing a CT. Followed immediately by: Ctrl + Alt + Del required to Exit. DG
  16. Long overdue recognition of Maureen's talents. DG
  17. Thanks Igor. DG
  18. Igor, The Right Click option to "Convert Video File" is missing in O&A Objects Panel. It was there in V8. Is this deliberate? DG
  19. Jeff, You might be right about the Omission. I will pose the question in Troubleshooting. DG
  20. Loved the "Ken Burns" bits. DG
  21. Right click on the video in the File List. Why convert when it is already in the Slide List or in O&A? When you drag into the Slide List you are offered the option to Convert or use the Original. The best option is to Convert before adding/dragging into the Slide List (IMHO). DG
  22. Hi Jeff, Check again - In V9 on my Laptop (W10) it shows in the Right Click Menu. It is between EDIT and SELECT ALL. DG P.S. The figures need updating to V9 so I will do it anyway.
  23. Igor, Documents now shows in the File Tree on my W10 Laptop. DG
  24. Thanks Jeff, I will update that asap. DG
