If you access the "Online Users" function in the Forum it is noticeable that "Guests" are reading, in some cases, very old, archived, Topics which contain out of date information. They have probably searched for a subject and the results show old Topics as well as newer ones containing the search string. One such case happened this morning with regard to "Copying Slides" and I have updated that Topic to the current version and also added a link to the Online Help. Does anyone disagree with this action?

Update In the current version of PicturesToExe it is possible to copy slides between projects. The copied slides are added to the Windows Clipboard and can be Pasted into a newly opened Project. http://docs.picturestoexe.com/en/techniques/copy_slides?s[]=copy

After reading the Matrox literature it seems to be the case that Matrox software would need to be installed to replicate your precise setup. Good luck.

I have opened the project and it runs smoothly in both Preview and in O&A on my W10 Laptop. Screen Resolution of the Laptop is 1920x1080. You have each slide set to "Wait for Key Press" and only a Right Click will bring the next slide up. Explain a little more about how this is supposed to work? How are you outputting (cabling) from the Laptop and at what resolution? I cannot replicate your 2x1920x1200 setting - it means nothing to me - sorry.

Put a typical (but short - 3-4 slides) project up where we can download and trial. It should be something which immediately gives problems on your PC. I have W10 and W7 (and Vista and XP) and experience no problems but I am not using your type of images. I am willing to test it for you. Use DropBox or similar to upload the project and post a link here. The maximum you can post here is around 3Mb.

OK in Firefox, Edge and Android (Silk).

Denis, I think that the "bug" is that the "End Time" is not being honoured/recognised. If you set some parameters that are possible and substitute the MOV for the converted file the End Time seems to always default to the end of the un-trimmed video. It ignores the set End Time. DG
-
Denis, I can see a couple of issues. First, there is a slight difference in the duration of the original MOV file and the converted file (in my trial) which amounts to no more than a couple of frames. Secondly, when the MOV is substitued for the converted file the start time and the Speed are being honoured but the adjusted (trimmed) end time is not being honoured (as you said). If this is the bug that you refered to then surely, having spotted it, it should have been reported previously - is this the case? If a converted file is substituted (instead of the MOV) then the same "bug" exists. The previously set End Time is not honoured. If this "bug" could be rectified then (perhaps) the substitution in the Properties Tab would produce the right result?
-
Denis, A question if I may: Why use Notepad? As an alternative, can you not just substitute the .MOV file(s) for the converted.avi file(s) in O&A / Properties tab? If you then save the project as a different version then that version can be used to produce the MP4.

I have always thought of it as referring to the SLIDE (or the PROJECT) resolution. With "Fixed size of slide" unticked a 1024x768 Slide (Project) will upscale to fit any screen which is larger than 1024x768. With "Fixed size of slide" ticked a 1024x768 slide will display as 1024x768 on any screen larger than 1024x768 but will fit to any screen smaller than 1024x768.

That is the way that I have always thought of it. The "SLIDE" contains the image(s) or objects and the animation related to them. The "SLIDE LIST" contains the slides. The "FILE LIST" contains the images/objects.

Frans,
It is not possible to reply to a question in the Frequently asked Questions forum. You need to tranbsfer your request to the General Forum.
The only way to do what you want is to rename your images in Windows Explorer so that when added to the Slide List they are already in order (Alpha/Numerically).

Hi Jeff, Further thoughts: the suggestion to re-name the slide as above (in Slide Options) is, of course, a manual operation whereas you were looking for an Auto Re-Naming. If you add a blank slide and then add an image to it, by making that image the "Main Image" and re-naming in Slide Options any further substitution of that Main Image will create an Auto Re-Name. I think that it might be simpler, if you want to add an image to an existing Blank Slide, to drag that image into the Slide List and delete the Blank Slide? It would save a little work and produce the same effect. The same problem exists when making a Style from a Blank Slide. Something to think about, DG

This is current and suggests that you merely have to dismiss the request to continue using until the 30 (or 99) days are up: https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/internet-connection-creative-cloud-apps.html DG

Judy, Does turning all of the options in the Creative Cloud Desktop Setup/Preferences to OFF before you go offline make any difference? If those options are turned ON then it tries to connect EVERY time you boot up. Logically, turning them off should give you around 30 days without problems and even more with the Annual Subscription which I have. DG

Updating from 8.0.1 to 8.0.17 is a free update and is advisable to take advantage of Bug Fixes etc. DG

Lin, I agree with Gogs, there are instructions in some cases where the "order" for instance needs to be explained. I made this suggestion to Igor a long time ago but it was not taken up. DG

Hi Vilara, Which part of the Style - Start, Middle or End? When you put all three parts together it works OK - for me. "Drag Image 1 into the Slide List - Import and apply the START Style to it. Drag the rest of the Images into the Slide List in the order: Image 1; Image 2 (Twice); Image 3 (Twice) etc up to the last image which should only be a single image. Image 1 must be the same Image 1 as used above. Import and apply the MIDDLE Style to them. Drag the last single image into the Slide List again. Import and apply the END Style to it." DG

A Project Title Style which allows for the Title to be surrounded by scaled down and animated versions of 8 of the Project images. Add 8 images of any Resolution and Aspect Ratio to the Slide List. Highlight all 8 slides and apply the Style after first importing it. The square crop uses the centre of the image and a border has been added. For precise images use pre-cropped square versions of the Project images. As always I have built this Style in the 16:9 AR. The Title Text and the Background image can be edited in O&A. Please be aware that the Author's chosen Font is not included in the Style and if it is not available on the User's PC an alternative default font is chosen - I used Vivaldi. Thanks Terry, I can see why that would happen - but only if you try to BIZ (or possibly to make a Template). I can cure it by using the same image for the BG and renaming it for each section of the Style. My intention was that the user "Adjust to suit. Change the Background Image, Timings, Text etc. Animate the Box in the Start and End sections etc. " and have a bit of fun with it." DG

Thanks. DG

A very basic Set of Styles from which you can create your own version(s). It is based (loosely) on the Dom's Template seen recently in the forum. Box of Photos Start.ptestyle Box of Photos Middle.ptestyle Box of Photos End.ptestyle Method: This example describes a short show of 20 or so slides as a trial. It is optimised for a 16:9 Project with 3:2 or 16:9 Images. Changing image AR in successive slides might produce unwanted effects. Drag Image 1 into the Slide List - Import and apply the START Style to it. Import and apply the END Style to it. Adjust to suit. Change the Background Image, Timings, Text etc. Animate the Box in the Start and End sections etc. Have fun. P.S. I have tried these on 2 different PCs (W7 and W10) and they work without any glitches.
