Ray, Two methods: Via iTunes you synchronise a folder(s) on your pc with the iPad wirelessly or by usb. Easier still you can buy a Kingston Mobilite which allows you to transfer all sorts of files both ways wirelessly. You can also play / view files wirelessly from a card inserted into the device without having to do the transfer. The Mobilite is also useful or getting images from your iPad's Camera Roll on to your pc. Great device which works with any tablet. You can stick a card from your camera into it and view jpegs immediately "in the field". DG P.S. it will also recharge your phone

Take a look at the Online Help File. HELP Link above. DG

Try a complete uninstall using the PTE uninstaller. Then re-install from scratch. If you are asked for the serial, enter it. DG P.S. go to help/ about and make sure that you have not opened a different version by mistake?

PicturesToExe 8.0.16: Cover slide mode and 16:9
davegee replied to Igor's topic in General Discussion
Al, If you leave "Cover Slide" un-ticked in Project Options it will not bother you. The advantage of it is that the new user can put any ar image into a show and will not be "put off" by the background coloured lines/strips. DG -
PicturesToExe 8.0.16: Cover slide mode and 16:9
davegee replied to Igor's topic in General Discussion
Igor, Everything works OK. I had to disable my Default Template to get the PTE Default Aspect Ratio - as a check. I would prefer to see a choice of "Fit" or "Cover" in Project Options / Defaults/ Main Image for new slides. Perhaps others will comment? DG -
No problem. DG

In O&A / Properties - MUTE. "The Audio of a Video Clip can be added to an Audio Track and the Envelope can then be applied to it. Add the Video Clip by dragging into the Slide Line and then, in Objects and Animation/Properties Tab, Mute the Audio of the Video Clip." DG
-
Mur, In the Online Help: Project Options/ Audio Tab/ Add the audio of a video...... Audition, Audacity etc. is not required for this? Use the envelope in the Timeline. DG

How to use PTE on a Samsung tablet (android)
davegee replied to Leona Isaak's topic in General Discussion
In addition to what Peter said, try to match the resolution of the MP4 to the screen resolution of the Tablet. -
My way of looking at it - as I look at new cameras etc...... While you are waiting for V9 you could be enjoying some of the GREAT new features of V8!! There will be an upgrade path if the time between purchase and new version is greater than X Months but if it arrives soon you probably will get a free upgrade anyway. DG

This Style creates a Hyperlinked Menu for 40 Slides in a Manual Control Show. The Menu is numbered and has thumbnails of the 40 Images used to create the Project. Clicking on a Thumbnail accesses the corresponding Slide. Each slide has an invisible link in the bottom left corner which takes you back to the Menu. Left or Right Clicking on the main body of the slide takes you to Next or Previous Slide. Limitations - do not use images which are of a larger resolution than the resolution of the Project unless absolutely necessary i.e. for zooming etc. The Style was designed for static images but animation can be added if required, after applying the Style. Optimum Project size is 16:9 (1920x1080) therefore images should be 1080 high and any Aspect Ratio. Add 40 images to the Slide List - Import the Style and apply to all 40 slides. Updated the article Slide Options / Main Tab / Advanced Options for greater clarity. http://docs.picturestoexe.com/en/slide_options/slide_options_main DG

The following attached Style will satisfy the requirements of a "Match a Slide Competition" and can also be used in a General Competition. It is optimised for 40 Images/Slides in a 16x9 Project with a numbered menu which includes thumbnails. Add 40 (no more - no less) Images by dragging into the Slide List. The Images should all be no more than 1080 pixels high but can be any Aspect Ratio - the Menu Slide uses the full resolution images to create the Thumbnails and if the images are any bigger than 1080 pixels high problems might occur with some laptops with integrated Graphics Cards. Import and apply the Style and run in Preview or create an EXE. From the Menu click on a thumbnail to display the corresponding Image/Slide. Click on the bottom left corner of the slide to return to the Menu. If used in a General Competition the left and right mouse buttons are configured to display next and previous slides. I have tried this on two different PCs and it works OK - if anyone can find any issues I will try to solve them - but it works for me. Comp Menu.ptestyle DG

Does this only happen with your own exe? Does it happen with all of your own exe's? Does it happen with an exe downloaded from Slideshowclub? Are all of your images, audio files etc in the same folder? (Preview only). Are the exe files and project files on a usb drive? DG

Best way!! DG

This was mentioned here a long time ago. It needed to be mentioned again, perhaps. DG

I never use them. DG

In PTE highlight the Font in O&A/Properties. With one finger on the Down Arrow and another on the Enter Button you can alternately hit Down Arrow, Enter, Down Arrow, Enter etc and scroll though the Font Types. The Text in the O&A screen will show a preview of the Selected Font. It is not elegant but it works. DG

Mike, PTE could be used. Make a 40 Slide Menu "Home" Page with links to each of the 40 images/slides - one image per slide. A thumbnail could be used for the link but you then have to (somehow) disable the projector or blank it while the decision is being made. Include a HOME Link on each slide to take you back to the menu. Two Laptops, projectors and screens. I made a Project for a normal Club Comp along those lines and it works very well. DG

Hi Carmelo, I have altered the formatting of the Italian article for you. Check it in "DW Edit". You left some formatting out. It is easy for me to prepare a complete article for you and I "try" to remember to do that each time. But it is more difficult to point out minor updates or changes to an article.- the "Recent Changes" link will help you there. DG

Lin, The Black JPEG only disappears if you try to make a second generation Style from an original. I have proven that. Trying to make Snowy from your Original was not possible and I had to add my own Black JPEG. Trying to make Snowy2 from Snowy was not possible so I had to once again add the Black JPEG. What I don't understand is why second and third generation Styles are possible with regard to the PNG files. I have asked Igor if he can explain it. When I made Snowy and Snowy2 I did not close down between different ARs. I just altered the AR and made any necessary modifications before updating the Multi AR Style. DG
-
Lin, This is Snowy2. Snowy2.ptestyle It is based on your 1 Minute Snow Style and was constructed using the method described here. Everything is "Cover Slide" Mode so that even if the User adds an image which does not match the Project AR, it will work. I have added the 16:10 AR in place of 5:4. DG
-
Lin, Snowy was made from a single 1920x1080 project which was then modified to make the other two AR. I used the method that I outline in the article on multi AR Styles in the Online Help File. I have since thought of two modifications to Snowy and I will upload later to show you. DG
-
It is only three AR: 16:9 3:2 4:3 .....but all different AR will work. I have slightly re-arranged your objects DG

Lin, Before you go try this as a proof of concept. Snowy.ptestyle DG
