  1. Thanks Al, that seems to have cured the problem. Alan
  2. Hi, I am relatively new to PTE. I had problems initially with my sound card but Igor was kindly able to assist with a modified version of 4.44. I have successfully created a number of exe slide shows but when I try to create the equivalent shows as either an SVCD or DVD-Video I find the audio duration is as expected but that the slide video is faster and finishes before the audio. One particular slide show is over 9 minutes in length as an exe but is only 7 minutes long as a DVD video. This seems to be independent of which software package is being used to burn the SVCD/DVD - it appears to be the duration of the video file created by PTE. Has anyone else experienced this effect ? Thanks Alan
  3. Brian, Many thanks for your suggestion - I had already been through that route, but without success. Fortunately, Igor responded to my e-mail and, after various tests, it was confirmed that there was a form of conflict between my on-board sound chip (SoundMAX) and my USB cordless phone. Igor provided me with a modified version of PTE which worked and I understand it will be posted on the forum next week. Alan
  4. I have just purchased and installed veriosn 4.44 of PTE on to my PC which is running XP SP2 which has been totally updated via Microsoft update. I can happily create slide shows which exclude sound but, whenever I attempt to add music (either mp3 or wav form), the files display as having zero duration and I am unable to use them. I have tried a large number of music files but always with the same result. Any suggestions welcome. Thanks Alan Tobias
