Create a pdf file from a PTE project

I would find this very useful as a guidebook to presentations or to use as a handout. -
Nicely done and love the photos. Thanks.

I know much of that country and love it. Most of all I love the people. Yet it is a troubled land. Thanks for sharing.

Actually I don't think step 2 matters. You can ignore it. I am sorry it isn't working for you. That would be frustrating. I could only make guesses, but maybe clear your browser cache/cookies.

You can stream from Dropbox and do not have to download. Test like this: Copy a link to an MP4 Open an incognito window or another browser that isn't logged in to DB Paste the link Wait a moment for a window to load--voila! It will stream!

I have had youtube block the music completely. More than just a warning. To their credit, they magnanimously offer their own music as replacement. Youtube has its perks, but I don't need those and it too many negatives. Dropbox meets my needs.

You are amazing! Thanks.

It's working. Thanks. I also DL the action, but haven't had time to play with it. Still, you must be a lot of work to arrange all those objects...do you have a project you can share?

For some styles I create variations by type. For example in a group I made yesterday I created similar but unique styles for Landscape, Portrait and Square images. Those single slide styles can be applied to many slides simultaneously. In a case like yours where you want variation among slides, I have done something similar by making groupings of styles, and then combining the groupings. So, I have a grouping of 4 slides (each slide different) and another set with different variations yet. You can mix and match these groups of styles and save them as new monster-sized styles. I think my biggest set is for 64 slides! Most are a maximum of 16, but if you are careful, you can apply that 16 to any multiple of 16 and get great results. You can apply such a style to any random number of slides, but may have some post clean up work to do, like removing extra blanks or cleaning up the last transition if it is complex. I hope this makes sense. It serves me well. In your case you might make something like 4 different sets of 5 unique slides. That would be 20 variations. Then you could apply those 4 styles to 100 slides and save the whole thing as a a 100 slide style. I would suggest keeping it smaller for future versatility, like a maximum 20 slides. Then apply that 20 slide style to your 100. Let me add this for free: Sometimes when I use a style that includes a blurred background, the background isn't positioned ideally, so I look carefully at each slide and adjust it as necessary to look best. Just something to think about. I have found this mix and match and choose method works well for certain kinds of shows like engagements, weddings, anniversaries, or history presentations. You can create a very impressive, complex slideshow, that is also completely customizable in very short time.

I will be in Brisbane area in a few months (no date set), but that is a looong way from Perth. I dream of going there sometime--I have never yet been to Australia, only as close as Bali--where lots of Australians go. I don't really have a "home" because I am traveling so much of the time, so don't know where to put my dot on a map. But I get almost anywhere sometime or another. That probably doesn't help much. Jeff, I would LOVE to stop by NM to visit you, but not likely this summer. I will be in the US for a couple months, but likely will only be flying east coast to west to Alaska this time. Only driving a few midwestern and NW states.

Updated tutorial 'Making your first slide show'

Thank you Ronnie. Good to hear from you. -
My thoughts: If you use the software for business, by all means upgrade now. Some users may just use the software as a hobby, or be on low income. But if you use it for business, good grief. Just upgrade. You know your financial situation, but investing the price of a PTE upgrade in a product that makes you a profit makes business sense to me. On the other hand, if what you are using is meeting your client's needs for now, then wait.

I think it is ALWAYS on sale. The bang you get for you buck is vastly greater than anything approaching equivalent out there. I don't think anything else out there really is equivalent at any price.

Nicely done. And the music is breathtaking. -
I could comment on "Pals" but not on "strange things." Wish I could!

You may be right. I didn't think of that. Thanks. I forget the behavior in the past, but in this recent instance, it really would not start after trying computer restarts. Maybe I gave up too easily and was too busy. I have some new tricks, thanks to you. I have called Adobe several times, and so far they never mentioned any of this, yet I have a hunch you are on to something. Of course, by the time I call them, the internet works and CC works and I don't really need them by then. They just want to know, "Is it working now," which if course it is. I can't just make the message pop up, so I guess I have to wait to see. Maybe it has to with switching licenses around, but I am diligent about doing that before going out. The problem has been rare, and I shouldn't fuss about it over much. Maybe it will never happen again!

Dave, That is a very good idea. I will try that. Thanks! You may have just made my day! I could also try to block access through the host file, which should buy 30 days. I may try that as well.

Just for the record. Three times in the last month I had Adobe CC products refuse to open when I got off the grid for an extended time. That was after critically checking thoroughly to be sure I had licensing right on the correct machine and that it was working off the grid. As a result. I was unable to produce several hundred important images in a timely way to a client. Sure, I was only a few days late, and in the end it didn't matter that much (which is why I waited), but because I sometimes perform work that is very time critical, I maintain an old version of Photoshop just in case. This seems to be an anomaly, but Adobe has not yet resolved it. Yet, it would not occur without the licensing nonsense Adobe has in place. Photoshop is an unequaled product. The Adobe CC subscription system is not.

Great contribution! Thanks.

I have upgraded or helped upgrade 8 computers so far. Every single one of the 8 upgrades had some problem. All were minor problems, except one Bluetooth problem which never has been resolved. I still have not upgraded Daddy's computer (He is in a different country, so I cannot do it in person), because he is older and I am not there to fix whatever is certain to go wrong. Having said that, I personally like Win10 very much and think it worth the upgrade.

I am beginning to get the picture. I wonder if a solution would be to take those images in series and create compressed video such as MP4 and then add that to P2E. The results might be more satisfactory. You are asking a lot of software and hardware, and apparently, unnecessarily. At 24 FPS you simply don't need that kind of resolution, you can't see it anyway. That's my opinion anyway. You can do it the awkward expensive way, or the easier, streamlined way with possibly better results. Who is your audience? How are you planning to project or present this? What kind of projection system / high res monitor / size of screen? Or are you just experimenting to see what the limits are?

i sure hope we get to see this when it is finished! How long does it take to run through the whole thing?
