  1. There is all kinds of information in the internet about cleaning cmos sensors (Canon D30). I don't know what to trust. Have any of you actually tried doing it successfully? I live in a part of the world where fancy kits and access to dealers is not readily available--and sensors have lots of access to dust. Using my little squeeze blower as suggested in the manual is not enough. A couple friends suggested a clean stick and regular lens cleaning tissue is ok--just be very careful and very patient. They say the sensor (actually the little glass filter plate in front of the sensor) is in fact fairly tough. But for me that is like trying to jab my finger to get blood for biology class--I build up courage and suddenly jab, but at the last moment my muscles freeze and there isn't even a prick. Just can't make myself go through with it! What do you advise? I hope this question is OK for this forum, but if anyone knows it will be you folks! JK
  2. I like it a lot But is there a way to make it use a proxy server? Beechbrook, as you know, is blocked by some countries. J.
  3. Here is just an idea...but what if you could make a movement that followed an adjustable arc or path? I would Love to see that! JK
  4. This isn't a comment about how to fix anything. Only a comment because I just can't restrain my delirious happiness! I know most of the people here are dreadfully serious and logical and hardly crazy at all, but I hope you people appreciate just how amazing this program is! I am SOOO Happy!! I Love v5! I accidentally made a show last night that was so awesome I cried. Then I watched it this morning and cried again. Twice. Then my family watched it several times. (They didn't cry--or I would have wopped 'em) All that just as an experiment that ended in an accident that turned out awesome! Thank You Igor. THANK YOU!!!!! I play with a lot of software and I haven't seen anything like Version 5. Now I am imagining all kinds of things that I hardly ever dreamed of before. PS. I have some ideas that if no one else mentions I will mention later. One idea has to do with renaming files from within PTE and then creating a show and the file names are not changed in the show (even after saving the work or closing and restarting P2E). This matters when you use file names as "comments." I have tried this in v 5, because I think the feature is not yet activated.
  5. Thank you for helping. Indeed The powers that guard our safety on this side of the world seem to have blocked this site, or perhaps the service provider or perhaps a range of IP's including Beechbrook. Well that is of mild passing interest to the western world. Anyway, a little hole has been found and where there is a will, there is a way. Nuf said. Double special thanks for your site! Judy
  6. Please forgive me if you are still in transition, but is Beechbrook site still down? I log on from China, so sometimes things are ....well...blocked from here. But Beechbrook? I never know! It seems to me from the forum that others are getting on ok. Judy
  7. Oh I am SOOOO Happy! Soo Happy!!! It works! Better than I imagined (and I have a marvelous imagination!) My Toshiba laptop with an Intel something and 1.6 GHz other and an Intel 852/855 64 Mb Graphics thingy works spendidly. Ok. Maybe not PERFECTLY. But deliciously close to perfect. The Fractal Show was a teensy bit jerky by spells. But then I have SQL server and Firefox and IE and a Word document open, not to mention a dozen other toys running including my wireless network. Does all that stuff make any difference? I'll shut all that stuff off after I am done playing with it, and try just the Fractal show. I am Dancing over the bed and across the chairs. Whoo Hooo! (bowing Low) --> Thank you Mr. Igor!
  8. There is nothing out there quite like P2E. I guess it all depends what you want the software to do. I am really impressed with what Igor has done, and think we can trust him to produce a really great piece of software. Please, Igor, take your time and get it right! I can hardly wait for V5--I am bouncing up and down in my chair. But even more than that, I am willing to wait till He is confident he has given it his best. I can't imagine what all must go into programming something like this, but let's not frustrate or rush him. He has a life to live too!
  9. Probably you have seen Imagematics Stillmotion Program? This program has some very effective ways of dealing with Ken Burns-type effects. I know Igor will do the best job teh can be done and I'm holding out for the BEST product soon! Demo Download: http://www.imagematics.com/ Judy
