  1. Lin, Very creative, subtly done with real animation! Loved the song which is new to me. Thanks. Regards, Roger
  2. Maureen, Another wonderful av particularly enjoyed this morning when it is overcast and wet outside. I wonder who inspired Mark to take such superb photographs! Regards, Roger.
  3. Lin, You are correct - the latest version has video clips. I was refering to the original version posted at the start of this topic which was made with just stills. Regards, Roger
  4. Don't want to worry you Dick but video was not used in this sequence. It was all done with still pictures before version 7! Regards, Roger
  5. Lin, Beautiful song creatively illustrated with excellent photography. Thanks for sharing it. Regards, Roger
  6. Take a location that has dramatic lighting and colourful buildings then let loose Maureen there and WOW you have another wonderful AV. The good choice of music added to the atmosphere and the map at the start was appreciated to define the location. A minor criticism, like Mick, I do not like slow movement of pictures. I feel it is an unnecessary distraction that doesn’t add to the sequence. However when there is a purpose, as in the opening pan across the town, I do not have a problem. Many thanks for sharing your experience. Regards, Roger.
  7. Great. Remind me when I come back into this world not to be a fly! I would like to show this trailer and the full version to my camera club's AV group please. Regards, Roger
  8. Hi Mick, Very much enjoyed this AV capturing well the colourful carnival with well chosen music and correct duration. However I fully agree with Hurbert’s comments. This type of photography is always going to be difficult and I know you are not keen but the rewards of using Photoshop to crop then selected the background, feather edges, Gaussian blur, desaturate and darken are well worth it. Once you get familiar with the technique you will be surprised how quickly it can be done! Attached took less than 10 minutes. Regards, Roger
  9. Maureen, Another wonderful sequence. Wishing as much pleasure in 2011 that you have given me in 2010. Roger
  10. Jean-Cyprien, Absolutely brilliant. Wish I had such a creative, imaginative brain. Just shows what can be produced with PTE in skilful hands. Wondering do we need PTE 7! Many thanks for sharing your magic. Seasonal greetings to your group. Regards, Roger
  11. A very moving AV that captured the occasion well. Not easy to photograph so you have done well. Sequence contained some nice dissolves. Excellent choice of music - skilfully mixed. Regards, Roger
  12. Wonderful, Maureen. Stunning pictures. Great dissolves and third images. Perfect choice of music. Thanks for giving me so much enjoyment. Roger.
  13. Mick, Fantasia is one of my favourite pieces of music and the interpretation with your usual high standard of photography is good. You have shortened the music by the right amount. However the music being so British, I feel the photos abroad are inappropriate and the sequence improved when you changed to ones taken in this country. I also didn’t like the pop ups – to me they are unnecessary gimmicks like 3D effects. I am looking forward to your next AV. What’s your next challenge – voice overs? Regards, Roger
  14. Charlie, Very clever. A lot of work has gone into the making of this. Very enjoyable. Roger
  15. Hi Mick, I took two pictures from the same viewpoint - one with correct room exposure the other with spot meter reading taken of the window ie room under exposed. In PS, using layer mask, added the correctly exposed window to the room interior. Look forward to your next NT venture. Regards, Roger
  16. Hi Mick, Enjoyed the sequence. I took your advice and I too recently visited Scotney and enjoyed the new freedom to photograph the interiors. Pleased with the results at ISO 800. Some I took two pictures - one with exposure from the window and used layers/layer mask to combine. For burnt out highlights, I make much use of Photoshop - Image - Adjustments - Shadow/Highlight. Also good for getting details in shadows. Regards, Roger.
  17. My camera club's av group sets "homework" for its members - produce an AV of about 10 pictures on a subject. This month's topic is "an advert". I decided to produce a spoof tourist guide for the town of Welling situated in North West Kent, England. I have uploaded a HD version to YouTube. Interested in your comments please. Roger.
  18. Hi AmandaMoo, Loading V6.0 does not remove V5.6. It should still be there and can be selected via Start - All Programs (assuming XP version). Create a shortcut and use this to start PTE then load the session file. V6.0 should have worked OK - it is a full working edition. V6.5 is the current beta version. Regards, Roger.
  19. As a life member that's great news. By the way - enjoyed the sequence!
  20. Hi Mickp, I'm intrigued to know how you took the internal pictures of the Mote when NT is hostile to us amateurs by banning photography, during normal opening hours, inside their properties. Regards, Roger.
  21. Flippin' good! Loved the music. Roger
  22. Especially for you Andrew I have uploaded the file onto Mediafire http://www.mediafire.com/?r2uxwdgztdg I am the official (unpaid) photographer of Belvedere Concert Band so had a pass to allow free access to the two performances. Roger.
  23. I have downloaded one of my PTE sequences onto YouTube. I would appreciate any comments. Roger.
  24. Betsy, Within this forum, click on "Pictures To Exe Deluxe 6.0" topic and this will supply the download address for latest version which is 6.0.3. Regards, Roger
  25. Hi Wendy, Click on button at bottom right of the session screen - "Show waveform on timeline" On the timeline - left click on the number of the slide you want to move to highlight it. Hold left mouse button down on the number and drag left or right to coincide with the sound on the waveform you want. Regards, Roger.
