  1. How dare we mere mortals, to criticize, The Masters show. This is totally unacceptably, since we all know he is the self-proclaimed worlds best photographer/AV producer.(But not mere slide shows) The rest of us forum members should not show our blurred, stupid and ill-lighted snapshots, because, these sort of things upsets The Master. Please, those of us that are simple snap shooters, (I dare say that is most of the over six thousand members) please pay homage, and refrain from agitating someone that so much enjoys criticizing and bullying others. Seriously, the guy is a totally different person,on his tutorial DVD's (I have even bought a few.) He is a very good instructor, but acts like a butt on this forum. I feel that since he has written so many negative things, in this thread, and others, I could state my humble opinion, also. Best regards, and a happy, prosperous 2011, Gayland.
  2. Maureen, Beautiful photography, and wonderful show. Thanks for allowing me to see an area that I will never get to visit. Best regards, Gayland

  4. Ron, thank you for sending me your tutorial on MP4 to SWF. I just took a look and my website provider doesn't allow using my own code. I have a very cheap provider plan, and will have to upgrade to use the procedure. Best regards and thanks again, Gayland.

  15. Hi Bill, we have informed you before, that to pause/resume, a show, you only have to press the space bar. This action, (when allowed by shows creator) will let you examine the onscreen slide as long as you want.(Andrew does) Best regards, Gayland
  16. Hi Antbrewer, the newspaper said there were over 100 wheels on that big rig. How many wheels were used I wonder? Hi DavyC, I can't imagine, how you would even get to the wheel to change a flat. What sort of Jack would you need to change a flat tyre? Hi BillPC, yes, it's a shame, that all those jobs have gone elsewhere. I do find some sadness though with the fact that the US has lost so much of our manufacturing ability. Hi Ken. I believe you are correct. I believe MAMMOET lifted the Russian sub off the bottom a few years back. Thanks for taking a look, Gayland.
  17. Hi PTE friends, I made a show,of a power plant generator, being transported through our area. These photos are just snapshots, but I thought that some of you might find this monster interesting. The show is 12.4 MB in size, and about 3 minutes long. Best regards, Gayland PC version Mac Version
  18. Dan D, do you know that you can press the spacebar, to pause/resume the show? (if creator allows control by keyboard.) Best regards,Gayland
  19. Hi Andrew, very nice.....!!! Keep up the good work, Gayland.
  20. Hi Morturn, fantastic images, music fit the show, and full-screen, with 1 pixel line border was right on. However,(IMHO) show needs a black slide inserted at closing. I don't know the circumstance of what you are trying to accomplish, since, I don't know what a barrage is. Regardless, your show is great, and am sure your speech will be also. Best regards, Gayland
  21. TT, I like your method a lot....!! Thanks, Gayland
  22. Hi Peter,This is what the book The Missing Manual, for Elements 7 says about this. Open a photo in the Editor, and then go to the Action Player. Click the Edit tab---> Guided---> Automated Actions---> Action Player From the first pull-down choose the action you want. These are installed actions that come with V7. Note: you cannot create actions in Elements, but you can download, and install,(there are thousands of free actions on internet.) from other sources, or create in Photoshop. Elements versions before V7.0, don't understand actions at all. Once you download the action, if you are using Vista, place it into C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Photoshop Elements \7.0\Locale\en_US(This is different if you aren't in the US)\Workflow Panels\Actions. For XP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Photoshop Elements\7.0Locale\en_US(this is different if you aren't in the US.)\Workflow Panels\Actions. You need to turn on hidden folder viewing for either operating system, since these are hidden files. The next time you start Elements, you'll see your action in the drop-down menu. It's important to understand a few differences between actions in Photoshop and in Elements. Photoshop can run an action on a whole folder full of images at once. Not so in Elements, where you're restricted, to one photo at a time. Also Elements can't quite carry out actions that involve Photoshop-only commands. For example, if you run an action that includes the creation of something, that Elements just can't do, you will get a warning box. You don't have to stop the action, but be aware that you won't get the same results as you would in Photoshop. This is gleaned from Elements 7.0 the Missing Manual. I hope this helps, best regards, Gayland.
  23. Andrew, well done..... Best regards, Gayland
  24. Hi Dan D, it's amazing at the devastation, these poor people endured, and they are fortunate that there are good people, such as your friends and yourself, to help them. When the hurricane, was predicted, we were inundated, in Bryan, Texas, with refuges and many of them never went back, (my neighbors included). Your show tells a small fraction of the damage these folks endured, and the pain they still feel from their losses. The photos are a great record, of your trip, and the camaraderie, between the members of your group. I would, however, IMHO, use only one transition between the slides, using all of them makes for a "busy" show. Good job,on both the mission, and the show. Best regards, Gayland.
  25. Hi Dan D, I get the message, "server not found". Please check your link. Best regards, Gayland.
