  1. the settings I used were: pan&sscab: on Ratio: 1920x1200 fps: 30p modus: bitrate two pass bitrate: 3500 For the sharpening - I used a unsharp -115 (standard) in stead of sharpening 100 I chose 1920x1200, as this is a 16:10 aspect ratio, which is often used in monitors... I guess I'll have to chane to 16:9... As for the pictures, what some like others don't that much, anyway I'll go down to 5 minutes, should be a bit less boring... Thanks!
  2. Hi, I created a slideshow and converted it to a mp4 for youtube. However the quality on youtbe is just horrific... is there a way to improve that quality? I suppose Youtube compressed the ideo, but is there a way to avoid this? The settings I used can be seen in the enclosed screenshot. The youtube film can be found here: the original pte can be found here: http://www.slideshowclub.com/files/file/282-iceland-island-between-continents/ thanks, Reine
  3. I made a slideshow of a trip to Iceland - it is not really a "diaporama", it's more a way to show the beautiful landscapes and birds of ICelanf. Hope you'll enjoy it.... http://www.slideshowclub.com/files/file/282-iceland-island-between-continents/
  4. Well, This is quite a bunch of quick and clear answers! I don't know what projector is being used though... I'll leave my pictures as they are...even if there are too big, I don't think this will cause any problem. Thanks a lot
  5. HI I am making a slideshow that will be shown on a beamer that I don't know. As it will be shown for a big audience, I suppose it will be a quality beamer. The only request from the organizer is that the resolution of the pictures shouldn't be bigger than 1920x1200. As I am working with a slr I put my pictures on a resolution of 1800x1200. But I also put my pictures on dpi 300. Will this give a problem or is it better to keep the 1800x1200 and put the dpi on 72? I don't know which computer they are using . Thanks Reine
  6. Thank you. This worked fine
  7. HI All my pictures are a 2:3 ratio - I put my screen to 1.333 - this meens I will have a black bar on the top and botrom of my show. This is fine for me. However, when i want to add an object that has to move form top to bottom, the object goes over the black bar. So The top black bar dispappearss behind the object. How can I avoid this? What I want if possible is that my show is always a 2:3 ratio - and all the rest is automatically black, no mater what screen. I hope this is clear enough. thanks a lot Reine
  8. thanks for your comments - Neil, you are right about the zooms - I slowed down the zooms meanwhile - looks better! Judy, I've been diving quite some time and first rule is: watch, don't touch:) - so on my 1200 dives, though seen a lot of dangerous en poisonous animals I've never been in a dangourous or threatening situation, as I try to keep respect for the habitat. We take our slr's down in special housings. As a lot of my diving is done in quite rough conditions we have very sturdy housings! Next to that we use very heavy strobes. Underwaterphotography is a complete different technique - but the eye of the photographer stays the same. gr, Reine
  9. Hello, I've just posted a slide show on http://www.beechbrook.com/pte/ it is called Skye diving - this is a show about coldwaterdiving which to my opinion can be as colourful as tropical water. The pictures are taken around the Hebrides last August. I am not very experienced in making slideshows though, but with the help of this forum I was able to realize it - most people that know my pictures are divers or underwaterphotographers and they look with a different eye - so feedback and comments from non-divers are very welcome.
