This ia a step by step description how to include a PTE show with all external files used in one EXE. It also gives a good protection for the show and the files. Granot

Here is what I'm doing: First go to PTE folder and rename "apr.exe" to "old_apr.exe". Then run the new setup and install to the default without doing any change. In case you have problem with the new version, you can run "old_apr.exe". Granot

This is encoding error. This maybe result of any factor. First restart and make all over again. If your avi is very big you may not have enough free space. If the Ulead created a LOG file you can check it and see where the problem is (after 9%). You probably will find it in the Ulead Temp folder. You can make your AVI again, maybe there was some problem in creating it. And last, clean you computer by using disk defragmenter.

Check for "SpeakButton" utility: On this page. Please give more info as: type of file you want to play, is it only one specific file, does the show have music as background (and if yes do you want them to play together), is the show full mode... Granot

Igor, I used in MMB: Run("<SrcDir>\PTE_RunApp.exe","3") I see slide 2 for a split of a second and then slide 3. As I said, this is no big problem since I duplicate slide 3. Granot

Igor, Great ! - I see some interesting "Run application" options but... I tried it with MMB and it shows the slide before the selected for a split of a second. Well, this is not big problem since I can duplicate the slide but to let you know. One suggestion: "Auto hide Navigation bar after <...> seconds" How about: "Auto hide Navigation bar after <...> SLIDES". This is useful if we want to allow print for some slides only. And to continue with this thought, how about: "Show Navigation bar after <...> slides" (or on slide number) Thank you and all stuff for the best program. Granot

I could be wrong but I think the problem is in your video card driver. If you sure you have the updated drivers then try to use the Hardware Acceleration not on "Full" and see if it will solve the problem.

I think this feature exist already.

Mike, Can you give more details what you want to do and what you mean by "list of the slides used in a sequence" ? You can open the .pte project file with Notepad and tell me which lines to be included in the List and maybe I can make a small utility to do this.

There is also another way if you want a custom "About". Make a one slide project, save it as exe and add "About" button to your show. On this button run the one slide show.

In my private opinion presentation should not be longer then 5-10 minutes. The best way is to cut it to logical sections depending on content with one Index page from which user can run any section. Few people can sit and watch one hour or even 30 minutes without relaxing few minutes in between. This way will eliminate possible problems which can arise due to long presentation and will not make the user bored.

I added RMI type to "EasyVid" (uploaded new version). Now you can open: avi, mpeg, mpg, wmv, asf, mov, .asx, qt, m1v, pen mp3, wav, mid, mod, ogg, wma, rmi txt, ini, inf, log jpg, bmp swf Maybe I can add the following file types but I don't have any sample files to check: MP1, MP2, MP3, ASF, S3M, XM, IT Do you have any of those to send me ? Since you are the sound expert - are those files necessary at all ? By the way, I'm still working on it and it will be a nice MP3 player with all info about files, PlayList features and more. Few members wrote me to ask about the above programs feature (Yes, I know the "Readme" are bad). So here are main features: EasyVid Program show all files in folder and can be set to always open a specific folder. Drag & Drop file will immediately open it in full screen (option). All other features are same as other programs, Stop, Pause, Volume slider, Mute, time counter etc. In general, it gives you very quick access and display of full screen movies (or real size). I found it very useful and hope you too. Flash Player ======== Browse to open SWF or Drag & Drop. View the flash in Thumb size or origunal size. Gives you all information about the file and you can copy it from the program to any folder. Granot

Looking now for few days on TV, I must say I admire the English people for all they are doing.

One reason can be this (but it can be another reason): If the attributes of one or more of your images or sounds are "Read Only" then you will get error message since PTE is re-copy all files and it can not over-write a "Read Only" files. And why you use: d:\PTE exe files\templates............... etc ??? What's wrong with the default path ? I always recommend to use default path to prevent unexpected error messages. Granot
