I know this is strange question, but is there a way to display each slide for zero ms ? If you wonder why I ask, some effects are excellent if the slide is shown only through the duration of the effect, so two slides with two similar or different effects can be combined. You can see it in some "Panorama" shows when the scrolling of the image stops each time the slide is changed, but it can run smoothly if we could put "display each slide for zero ms". The existence of "display slide for" interrupt a "could be" well executed display (Hummm...I hope I was clear). Another thing I noticed, which I suspect has a connection to this (but maybe not), is that if we use Number Slide as parameter when we run a show from another show, without using any effects, there is a short flash of the slide before our chosen slide. Is there a way to overcome this ? Igor: I hope this is possible to allow zero display time and hope you can see the possibilities, which one of them is snooth scroll of panorama images even 360 degrees. Thank you Granot

lindap I uploaded new version of "Scrolling Text Utility". Scrolling Text Utility - Version 2.0 This small utility will display a scrolling text on screen when "ScrollingText.exe" will run. For "PicturesToExe" users you can display a different text on each slide. What's new on version 2.0 Added ability to change background color of text box. Added ability to resize text box Configuration file structure was changes. After unzip - run the exe to see how it works. If I will find time I will make much better version 3.0 BTW, you can use my GIF utility (forgot the name) to display animated gif over the show so you can display your scrolling text as gif. As Ron said, you can use also one of my Flash utilities to display scrolling text. Granot

There are two small utilities to run gif animation over the show: GifExe GifExeOnShow Find both under "Utilities for "PicturesToExe" and other slideshows programs users" HERE. Those are old utilities but should work. Granot

While anyone can run PTE show (exe) only people with Powerpoint player installed can view Powerpoint presentation. That seems to be a good reason to choose PTE.

Brian, Does this check only on downloads or on every file opened ? If on every file opened: Does this check runs everytime when the file is run ? If not, how does it knows the file was not changed ? If yes, does this means I have to wait each time I run a file ? Thanks Granot

Fred, That was my thought about the extra slide. About my other problem, I noticed the Transition from desktop works on Full Screen mode but not on windowed. I'll wait for someone to help here. Granot

Hi I have two small problems but first a question to Igor: Igor, Isn't the "Run app after last slide" supposed to run the app on any case when user exit the show ? - sometimes it is very importans if I MUST run app when show exit, but there is no way to do it if user exit before reaching last slide. I remember we talked about it but don't remember how it ends. Question: Can we use "Show first transition from desktop" and "Show transition to desktop after last slide" both in same show ? (I tried but can't make it work) Question: Why the caption of "customise slide No...." when I want to use one of the above mentioned options always gives the number of "Total Number slides+1" ? What I mean is: Project Options >>> Screen >>> Customize Button >>> a window open with wrong caption. If I have only 7 slides it says: "Customize slide # 8" in bothe cases if I check the "Show first transition from desktop" or if I check the "Show transition to desktop after last slide" or if I check both (which as I said on my question 1 does not work for me). DEN, I know this problem and tried to solve it but it seems it not always work. I made a hideTaskBar tool and nobeefStu (whom I didn't see in the forum for long time) has made one too. Maybe I will try to make a new tool to fix this problem but I can't guaranty. Did you try to run the utility on first slide to hide the taskbar and then on exit to show the taskbar ? (hummm.. I hope this was the way I did it). mogendavid, Don't remember What is the presentation name ? Some members have such presentations using my Flash utilities. There are few and I'm sure one will fit your needs. Each one has a Readme file and they are easy to use. Granot

Yes Lin, I forgot about this one. "ShowVideoPte" will display AVI, QT, MOV, MPG, MPEG, M1V, ASX, ASF, WMV. Use "Run external application" command on any slide you want. Granot

That's right. There is a tool to play a video witout the need to open default player, but....there is a problem ....I can't remember the name of that tool I have few video related tools, just need the time to check it. (please don't laugh, it's only my bad memory). Granot I found it: "FlashVideoExe" it's a bit old. Maybe I'll work on something new soon.

I think 3 megs per photo is a bit too much. The fact is that if your shows will be only displayed on screen without any printing purpose, I assume 150 kb is enough, since our best eye can not see the difference. That means you can put 20 images instead of one. There are many program which reduce size but remember always to keep your originals, better as BMP before you convert them to JPG. By the way, The simple "Paint" program included with windows does a prety nice job.

Ken, Glad to hear. Now I think all is done (unless someone will have a new idea). The main version is 2 but sub version 9. The help file and the file itself carry the 2.0.0.9. Please notice all - the "MultiShow Tool" was not updated and I will do it soon. Anyway once you use the utility you can make the configuration file with Notepad. Granot

Robert, Done in version 2.0.0.8 Forgot It will show previous image. I will fix it later on. How to display image in "About" window for each show You can display an image for each show in the lower window. This image will be displayed when user select a show from the list. To attach an image include a JPG file in "Shows" folder and name it the same as your show file, changing the EXE extension to JPG. If the utility can not find image file the image in lower window will not be changed. This option allows you to show long representing image consists of 5-6 attached thumbs of your original show images. Image size should be 646 x 96 pixels. Download MultiShow Player Version 2.0.0.8 Ken, This feature fits your wife idea for the multi images film I included two leather skins only in the "skins" folder (they are great !). Robert, I am embarrassed. I can't remember if the lower window displays only the "About" text or also text about each show. I will check it and see if it is possible. It seems to be a good idea. Ken, The basic interface has no image in the text window. I added an image just to show how it looks like. If the "txt.jpg" will be removed it will be blank. In other words, everyone can use his own image as background. By the way, I remember your wife had some good ideas when we worked on MultiShow last time.
