MultiShow 2.0.0.6 Now you can change background color and text color on the show list box. Use RGB colors with comma. On line 8 of "cfg.ini" write the background color. On line 9 of "cfg.ini" write the font color like this: 0,0,0 255,255,255 In the above: white text on black color. You can use my "ChooseColor" utility to select colors. Ken, Where can we download "Leather" skin and all others ? Granot
-
Ken, That is great skin. If you'll have free time, maybe you can make some nice skins to any of my other programs. I don't have this talent so they all look not so attractive. Lin, That's nice trick but how about the credit to the author of the utility ? You actually removed the Logo and name of the utility At least can you add: Made with "MultiShow Player" ? Granot

Lin and all members, MultiShow - New in version 2.0.0.5 Important: ======== This zip is not the full version. If you have already the old version just replace "MultiShow.exe" with this new file. Otherwise, first download the full version from my web site, including "MultiShowTool" and then replace the file. Notice that the help file is not updated. Here are the changes: 1. Install Presentations=2 This will prevent message askung user if he wants to instal filesl. If you write "2" then user can not install files. 2. Added optional feature: If you add image called "txt.jpg" with all your files it will be displayed as background in the lower window where you display the "About CD". I added to this zip a sample image "txt.jpg". Include it with your files to see how it works. Image size must be: 646 x 96 pixels to fit the window. Direct download of version 2.0.0.5 Members who like to help, please put a link on your web site to my main page (do not put direct links to programs since names can be changed) I will very much appreciate a link to: http://www.thailandphotoalbum.com where all PTE and other programs are. Lin, second requested feature can not be implemented. Thank you Granot
-
Lin, Thanks. I think both are not possible but I will try tomorrow and let you know, maybe it is possible to add image instead of the green area. Granot

"PTE Show Splitter" - Freeware This small utility has one purpose only: If you want to send by email a big show, you can split your show to small size files, send the files in separate emails, include this utility, and tell user to save all files, including this utility, in same folder. Then user will run the utility which will join all files to one big file - your show. Split your show: Open the program. Click on "Browse" and select your show. Write in the text box the size of each part. Click on "Check" button to calculate number of files. Click on "Split" button. You will find all files in the same folder where your show is. The names of the files will be: segment1.xxx, segment2.xxx, segment3.xxx .... Join all parts: Put all files together with this program in the same folder. Run the program and click on "Join" button. A Save dialog window will open. Write the name of the file you want to give to the show (ie: Show.exe) including exe extension and Save. You will be notified by a message when the file is ready and will be asked if you want to run it. Direct Download No installation needed. Granot

Al, you just made my day ! I'm sure what he means is extracting images. Anyway, a PTE show without images can be interesting "RestorePTE" utility can help in case original images are lost and you have only the exe. Granot

That's good news. Since I'm on vacation I don't have hereall tools to upload a full new version but anyone who download the new file from here and use it instead the old file can use the new feature as Ken described: "Install Presentations=2" Thank you Ken. Granot
-
Ken, I uploaded new test file. Can you check if there is any change now ? Thanks Granot
-
Ken, I uploaded new file with the "Loading" and "installing" message in the window as you asked. But I had no time to make a project and check it. Can you plaease check it ? Granot

I'm not a photographer but maybe this can help: I have a program which was not released yet called "ImageData". Checking the readme file I found this: The "Data" button enables you to write and keep data text file for each image. You can pre-define the filelds on data page by click on the question mark button. When loading an image the data is loaded too. You can alway sedit your data. This small program is a Thumbnail viewer. Selected image can be copied to the folder you select with the name you select. Image path is auto-sent to clipboard. BMP and JPG images can be enlarged and converted from one type to the other. Thinking about the above, it can be easy to search all images data files and find the image you are looking for. Is this close to the subject discussed above ? Should I try to enhance this program ? Thank you Granot

Hi Ken and all members, I have uploaded a test version with new option: Install Presentations=2 1 = Install all. 0 = Pop up message and let user decide. 2= View from CD without any message and can not install. Download test version here. Robert wrote: I think this suggestion is very good. We can still change the message and use the new version if you test it and it will wrok fine. Someone of course will have to re-write the message. Do you mean animated progress bar while installing ? I think in this case it will be wrong because in music players you can click on any item while another is playing and player will close previous file and open new file. With exe shows it can cause users problems if he clicks on item and then click on another by mistake or just because he changed his mind. The first clicked show will open anyway and he will have to close it before selecting another file. Why your grandkids are using again the CD if all shows were already installed in the previous run ? Maybe I misundertood, can you explain this problem ? Any other problems, suggestions or just feedback are very welcomed. Ron, Be careful, you can end up being confused like me - too many Granot's Utilities is not healthy As you know I am on vacation in Thailand and working on my new "PTE Spliter". Please remember this will not split one big show to many small shows but one big show into many small segments to easily send by emails, then user click and see the big show. Any member who wants to be a tester can write me (sorry, no salary). Granot

I'm not sure if this is the right thing to do because it will remove the ability to allow user to install shows. When you make your "MultiPlayer" project you can choose between "Install files" or "Allow user to decide". If I make this change, then if you don't configure the "MultiPlayer" to install files, user will have to run all shows from CD. Ken, if what you say is true: "as most CD players and computers are fast enough to keep up now days" then I can make this change. But will this change fit other members too, and does really most computers fast enought to very big show ? If you think yes, so I'll make the change. I really don't know what to decide. Somebody have to help me in this decission. Regarding small and simple utilities, I can easily simplify any of mine. I'm glad if they are useful to members but many new members don't know about my web page. I will appreciate anyone who has a web site and put a link to my utilities page. Thank you all while enjoying my vacation, Granot
-
Marianne No. But if you still have the original pte file why not make it the easy way, by just making few smaller shows cut from the big show ? My purpose is one and only - to allow authors of big shows to send them by few emails as parts which user can join back to one show. Granot
-
you are doing this again !!! "EasyMp3" no installation, Free etc.... Here: >>>>>> My Webpage Another very simple but useful player is "Ron Player". See "RonPlayerViewer" which has two small utilities (idea of Ronniebootwest). Granot
-
DEN You can use "Paquet Builder" to do what you want. Pleasw search this forum for an old topic posted by me with full details how to make one exe. And... all files are secured. As for the spliter, I do want to make it specific for PTE users but you will be able to use it for any file. Granot
-
DEN No. The tool I'm thinking of will split one big show to small files which user can join to one show. You can use ronwil suggestion.

Since the pace of improving PTE is astonishing I'm sure Igor will do anything you dream of

Hi to all members. On my last vacation in Thailand I made "PTE Multi Player" which I hope you enjoy and use. Tomorrow I'm going on long vacation again and probably will make a big project. Will it be PTE utility ? If you think there is any utility I should enhance, please let me know. My only idea now is to make a utility to split your big shows so you can send it in small parts by email. I know there are many utilities for this task but I am planing to allow you to use your own interface on the joining utility set to user. And a small game for clever minds: Download: Numbers Game Hope you can arrange the numbers in less then 200 steps Granot

Hey guys ... why not trying my screen ruler ? I can also add other features if needed. It is free. Find it under "Free Desktop Programs" on My Webpage Granot
-
I always wondered why this was not fixed but probably there is a reason, which I can only guess, allowing cursor to be seen when another application is opend so you can work with it. But I think in this is not a small problem becuse users have all kinds of applications which may run suddenly. My personal problem with this is while using external files. It will be great if Igor (are you reading, Igor ?) will allow us to prevent this.

Hi, If you have many shows on CDs and you forgot which show is where, you may like "CDList" utility. Inset your CD and it will make a list of all shows (and other files) on the CD. Save it where you want with the name you want. Later you can upload any list to serach for your shows without the need to insert each CD. You can also copy any file from the CD from the utility. Any idea for other features will be welcomed and comments are as always appreciated. You can find it under "Free Miscellaneous Programs" (last one) on My Webpage. Granot

Thank you Igor. By the way, I noticed that when open a specific slide you can see a flash of the previous slide. Granot

Well, as you can see from my signature I like animals and animals (worms & viruses) like me. Once a year I re-install windows and all works fine.
