Sorry for being late. Version 7.05 is OK regarding the said error message. Best regards, Xaver

It seems that the parameter "EnableAspect" shows up in cases where images inside a slide have been re-sized via the zoom function. In my examples always: "EnableAspect=0". Regards, Xaver

Mick, this is a good remark in my opinion. I don't hold my breath, but I'm pretty sure that you really can give some advice, just try to do it. There are others with thousands of posts who might have done better to do less Regards, Xaver

I would regard the post behind this link as loud, it is a personal opinion, that's all! Regards, Xaver

The project file "bugformat.pte" includes 2 odd entries in the section [slide 1]: Line 208: Picture=C:\Users\Administrateur\Desktop\kidsbook\mask.png Line 243: EnableAspect=1 Changing mask.png to L (1).JPG (the correct name of the image) does not show any effect. Deleting Line 243 removes the "portrait effect". Regards, Xaver

That's what I have seen, as well! Regards, Xaver

What I do in order to produce the said error message (Win XP, SP3, PTE 7.04): In Project Options > More > Customize > Edit Startup Window: Highlight the Rectangle and press the Delete key. Regards, Xaver StartupWindow.zip

Thanks, Jean-Cyprien, I've sent a PM to you. Best regards, Xaver

It is quite funny to to see that WnSoft normally shows a reaction in cases where the word "bug" shows up in the title, whereas in cases where this word does not occur, the thread remains unnoticed Here is an example! Regards, Xaver

I don't think that we can have individual background colors for images, but we already have individual background colors for slides. I think, that's OK. The problem here is, that there are some transitions which change from one slide to the next one via a black background that cannot be configured. Regards, Xaver

Frans, instead of the given Flip 3D you may try the animation from the attached template Regards, Xaver ForFransW_2.zip

Assigning music to each slide cannot produce a continuous result. I would recommend to follow Lin's approach. Regards, Xaver PS: Du kannst auch eine Diskussion in der deutschen Sektion des Forums führen ( in deutscher Sprache )

I use version 7.04 on Windows XP SP3. Whenever I try to delete the given rectangle in the Windows Editor (Startup window), I obtain an error message of the kind shown below. Regards, Xaver

That is not always the correct way to go. PTE acts in a transparent way with respect to color management. So, if the presentation device (monitor or projector) runs according to a particular color space (call it xRGB), the images should be xRGB, as well. In most cases, projectors use sRGB. Therefore, sRGB then of course is correct, but there might be exceptions! Regards, Xaver

Dave, I agree, a tab for defaults would be an advantage, although there might be some problems: What is to be done with existing slides or objects in a project when the default values will be changed? My post from above (#3) refers to the question in the poll "Should the Common Tab Mode setting be moved to Project Options ..." which could imply a loss of functionality. As I said above: There must be local mode settings (Fit/Cover) for each individual object. Best regards, Xaver
-
If you insert an image whose aspect ratio is different from the one of the screen you will see the difference: Fit means: You see the whole image which does not cover the whole screen. Cover means: You only see part of the image, but this part covers the whole screen. Regards, Xaver
-
Sorry, but I have doubts that this poll has any value at all. So, I do not take part in this poll. The mode (Fit or Cover) is to be regarded as an attribute of a particular object, and not as an option for the whole project. Inside a slide I want to decide for each and every object which mode it should have. I would be fine to have a project option for the default value of the object mode. But the final choice (Fit or Cover) has to remain with the objects. We should not disimprove PTE Regards, Xaver

xahu34 replied to Cedric Dawnhawk's topic in General Discussion
I don't think that PlayView will be the solution, as Cedric also wants to start none-PTE shows. I made a test with PlayView and an m.objects show. PlayView does not seem to like it Regards, Xaver -
In the timelime, use Shift+Del for deleting, Del is to be used for the Cut mechanism. Regards, Xaver
