  2. Hello Brian, Thanks for your concern and involvement. No it's a Samsung 22" SyncMaster 223BW (LS22MEVSFV/EDC) Series S I live in Belgium.Greetings, Cor
  3. Also from my side I like to wish Ron a fast recovery. I hope that you will join us soon on this forum. All the very best to you. To Ken, Thanks for the info. Greetings, Cor
  4. Hello Brian, I promised to report again after some tests with our clubcomputer. I am afraid a little bit in vain or with no real result. 1) I worked down your "Check-List" one by one and noted that there are 2 monitors: one Plug-and-Play and one with the name" SyncMaster 223BW (digital)". Both working fine, as shown in the properties. So, we tried to make it work with the Samsung flat-screen first ~ connected to the digital DVI-entry of the computer. Result: The same as one week ago: Flat-screen normal colors, correct resolution (1680 x 1050 pixels), all programs normal colors included PTE, etc. When we try PicturesToExe in preview or launch of EXE: faded colors. 2) Deconnection of the Samsung and connection of the CRT or the beamer on the VGA-entry, restart of the computer: all passed well, correct colors, also with EXE-files and preview in PTE. 3) Because it is the intention to connect the (new) Samsung monitor and the Sony beamer at the same time (projection of same picture as shown on the monitor) I loaded an other driver for the beamer. Connection of the CRT monitor to the VGA-entry and the Sony beamer to the DVI-entry, restart of the computer. Result: All passed well, exact colors, same picture shown on the 2 devices, all's well with EXE and PTE. 4) Deconnection of the CRT and the beamer. Connection of the Samsung to the DVI-entry and the Sony beamer to the VGA-entry, restart of the computer. Result: The Samsung is showing the desktop with the icons at start-up, the beamer is showing only the desktop without the icons. It is now the extention of the flat screen. The Sony beamer always stays on the desktop view, it does not react anymore to the programs used on the flat-screen. The Samsung flat-screen react the same as above, faded colors with EXE-files and previews of PTE. 5) To try it all over again, I unconnected the Internet connection; disabled the anti-virus and disabled the XP-Firewall. I deleted all the drivers of the monitors and re-installed them again, but all with the same result as above. 5a) One exception: I noticed when I changed the Samsung flat-screen resolution to 1024 x 768 and restart the computer with the beamer connected, I received the same picture on the monitor and the beamer, but still the colors are faded with EXE-files and previews of PTE. 6) I looked further in the "Advanced Adjustments" of the ATI Graphic card, into the "Configuration settings". One can change a lot, but there are no adjustments that give some real solutions on the above. The only color in all this matter that I am sure of, is the color of my hair, it's getting more gray. For now, I don't know what to do with it. Perhaps we must continue with the combination, CRT-monitor and the Sony beamer, this is working well. It's a pitty then that we have spend the money for the new Samsung flat-screen. Greetings, Cor
  5. Hello Brian, Thank you so much for your efforts. I can confirm we are using now PTE v5.1 Yes, I connected the Sony beamer to the VGA connector and the colors are fine and remain OK during the PTE EXE file and the preview of a show launched from PTE. It's a pity but for the moment I can not change the PTE version on the computer or do other tests because our club building is closed until Tuesday, April 15. As you asked, I'll do the version change to 5.2 and do your 'Check-Test' on Tuesday and report the next day. Thank's again. Greetings, Cor
  6. Hello Brian, Thank you for your advice. Yes, we have done that. We even have 2 programs from Samsung (from the CD-rom that came with the flat screen) to make our own ICC profiles. We made 5 different ones for the Samsung, we tried a common sRGB, etc. With the different ICC profiles we have seen the colors change on the Samsung screen and those colors stay uniform during different programs, photo's, during use of PTE, etc. BUT when we start a PTE EXE file or a preview, colors where faded everytime. When the EXE is stopped, colors are back and OK. There were drivers on the CD-rom too, we loaded and activated them. To be up-to-date we loaded also the driver from the Samsung page "http://www.samsung.com/nl/products/monitor/lcdmonitors/widescreen/223bw.asp". We tested the analog and digital driver version but all the same result. I have looked in Control panel, the path as you mentioned, and under the properties we see or the CRT monitor, or the flat screen (as we connected them). Also under the screen properties we see as monitor, or the standard monitor (the CRT), or the Samsung by name. In the advanced settings the correct monitor is highlighted. By the way we use XP SP2 Home version. When we connect a Sony beamer on the ATI videocard everything is fine, fantastic colors as with the CRT. Very, very strange. Greetings, Cor
  7. Hello again, Concerning the ATI Grafic-card: 256MB Radeon x1950 of our "clubcomputer" and concerning the disappearing of the colors by launching the PTE EXE files and launching previews, after some tests I noticed an other phenomenon: Everything is working fine, perfect colours, with a CRT 17" monitor but the problem occur when I uncouple the CRT monitor and connect our new Samsung flat screen 22" SyncMaster 223BW. Very strange (?????). Greetings, Cor
  8. Hello to all, It's all about the ATI cards, we have the same problem as Felix described with the computer of our photoclub. I have a computer with Vista and NVidia card and a show made with the "clubcomputer" is playing OK on my machine (correct colors). The "ATI Gamma Fix" did not have worked for our "clubcomputer", the problem stays. This is: Color change when starting EXE file, or color change when launching preview of show. Everything stays normal (normal colors on the screen in PTE) during the use of PTE, until the launching of the preview. And yes, on this "clubcomputer" other programs as M-Objects (is other slideshow producer), Photoshop and the included photo showing tools of Windows are working fine (all correct colors). Yes. Yes, we have to wait the solution of Igor, I'm afraid.Greetings, Cor
  9. Hello to All, The number of views in my opinion says not much. You can have a lot of views for a show (topic) and only some real comments about the show. In that same topic then a question is asked about technics, or format, or resolution, or whatever, and a discussion is started and that is why people, most of the time, are coming back to that topic (not for the original show). In my experience you can have 800 views of your topic where you started the show, 8 reactions from members about the show (1 %) and about 100 effective downloads of the show (12,5 %). So there are people who open the topic, read the text, but never download the show, they will not post a reaction. Now from the 100 effective downloads you have 8 reactions, so 8 %, not so bad. There is so many to see, to read, to try it out, to learn, to... on this forum that it may be sometimes a little too much for some people I think. Please do not misunderstand me, I love it, but maybe it is the overload of information that may count. Greetings, Cor
  10. Hello Henri, Did you try the conversion from the protected M4P files to MP3 in iTunes 7? And yes, how did you do it? Because I get the same error message as Tom. And also the same error message by conversion to WAV, AIFF and AAC. Greetings, Cor
  11. Hello Tom, Glad it worked for you. But yes the "free" convertion is rather "long-winded", I use it only occasionally. Lin point you to a good converter at a very reasonable price. I don't think so for the near future, but that is the decision of Igor and his team. You can find here what the plans are for the next version: plans for PTE version 5.5 by Igor Greetings, Cor
  12. Hello Jean, Here you can find the latest download and updated build 5.11: PTEdeluxe Version 5.11 And with a changed library for DVD burning in VideoBuilder (special test version): Special test version VideoBuilder DVD burning Greetings, Cor
  13. Hello John (JEB), Thank you for watching. Glad you liked it. Donald and I have no objection that you show it to your Camera Club members. We hope they will enjoy it as well. Glad we could bring some ideas with "Atomium 2008". Wishing you a lot of inspiration and good luck with the club show. Cor
  14. Hello Andrew, Thank you for your explanation. I'll talk it over with Donald and suggest a second version. It's only to find time to do it. Greetings, Cor
  15. Hello Andrew and Nicky, Thank you for watching and your commends. WOW, we even have a fan, we are very honoured. OK, back to earth. Didn't you like the lay-out of the opening titles? Do you mean the flashing board around the "50"? The used colour (dye) of the opening titles? The white blinks (lighten figures)? Or all? If I would remake the show, I would spend more time in Photoshop to make the opening titles look more integrated in the sphere. The figures with a metalic view, more similar to the metal colour of the Atomium. Or with a more gold impression (because of the 50th anniversary). About the "Cokin" type filter effects: Donald and I have choosen to use some photographs with filters because of the "artificial synchro effect" to the music we looked for. Were we could absolutely improve our show. Also dissolves must fit to show a "third image". On the moment of taking the pictures man must know in what order and sequence these pictures are used (scenario). We don't forget. Have a nice day, Cor
  16. Hello Tom, Welcome to the forum. To use your M4P music from iTunes in PTE, you must convert them to MP3 files. Go back in iTunes, put a (rewritable) CD in your CD burner, click the "Burn Disk" button (on screen right under). Make your choise in the playlist in iTunes (max. 700 MB). Follow the instructions given by the program. If asked, you must authorize your choise. After burning, rip the music from the CD with ex. Windows Media Player (Options - Rip Music - Classification - MP3). Hope this helps. Greetings, Cor
  17. Hello Andrew, Thank you that you are interested in our show. With pleasure I will make the show available again, you can download it here: Temporary download. Thank you for watching. Comments welcome. Enjoy. Greetings, Cor

  20. Hello John, Thank you for watching. We, Donald and I, are really overwhelmed by your positive reactions. We hope your club members will enjoy it as well. You are right PTE is a fantastic tool. Have a nice day, Cor
  21. Hello Jean-Claude, After downloading again via the second link I could open the pdf files with Acrobat Reader. But still GUS gives a blanc window that not can be closed. It can only be terminated using the task manager. An access violation message says: "Violation d'accés à l'adresse 00000080. Lecture de l'adresse 00000080." Greetings, Cor
  22. Hello Jean-Claude, Thanks for your efforts, but I have the same problem as Xaver on my computer with Vista Home Premium. Unfortunately also Acrobat Reader does not open the manual files (not English, not French). Greetings, Cor
  23. Dave, Thank you for watching and for your commend and praise. Greetings, Cor
  24. Patrick, Bernard, Xaver, Thank you for your enthusiastic reactions. Have a nice day, Cor
  25. Hello to All, First some history: Belgium is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the EXPO 58 (from April 17 till October 19, 1958) and the astonishing building that was made for that fair, the Atomium. On April 17, 1958 King Baudouin officially opened the International Fair of Brussels, Belgium, in which 51 countries were represented over 200 hectares. It was the first official world fair since that of New York in 1939. In 6 months time 41.452.412 people had visited the fair. In those days 4,5 times the population of Belgium. The Atomium was designed by the engineer André Waterkeyn, it is a structure that is half way between sculpture and architecture, symbolising an iron of cristal, magnified 165 billion times. The Atomium, in particular, embodies the audacity of an epoch that seeks to confront the destiny of man with scientific discovery. The nine large spheres joined by tubes which comprise the Atomium, are arranged in the configuration of a central cubic system. These spheres, with a diameter of 18 metres, were fitted out by the architects André and Jean Polak. Made entirely of steel clad with aluminium, the structure, at a hight of 102 metres and standing on three enormous bipods, dominates the Heysel plateau. The Atomium was not intended to survive the Exhibition of 1958. Between 2004 and 2006 the inside and outside of the building were completely renovated. Its popularity and success ensured its place as a major landmark on the Brussels skyline. © Atomium - SABAM Belgium 2008 About the show: The show is a cooperation of some members of our photoclub. The photographs are from Donald Somers a member of our photoclub and a friend of mine. The music was choosen after some discussion in our club. I made the synchro with PTE v.5.1. Download MediaFire: 40,79 MB (sorry, some times it's rather slow) Time: 6 minutes We hope you will enjoy the show as much as we did during the make of it. Greetings, Cor Temporary download. Thank you for watching. Greetings, Cor
