Hi! Morasoft. I loved your show, most informative, great cartoon work and what a great ending. Keep producing fine work like this and thank you very much for sharing. Tom.

Hi! Al, I'm sorry but I can't take credit for the above Idea, I't came from Ken Cox who suggested it as a method so I could get my project file out there so others could help with a problem I had, it works a treat (and is free for upto 100mb). Tom.

Hi! Lin, I have sent you a file via Dropload (I have no other way of sending files)you should receive an e-mail from them shortly, It's my first attempt after watching your tutorial, if you have any comments or observations please post on this forum so everybody can share in your words of widom, you can be as harsh as you like as I believe we can only learn by constructive criticism.(is that how you spell criticism?). Tom.

Tom, If you are still interested in surround sound I put another reply on your earlier question but I found it hard to find! So I will repeat here that Nero also has 5.1 capabilities shipped with recent versions under SoundTrax2. I can also confirm Audition version 1.0 has it. Peter

Jean-Pierre, Thank you for your excellent comments, I am sorry about the poor quality of some of my images, the submarine and helicopter I copied from a magazine using my flatbed scanner, the missile I drew in Photoshop (naughty but nice). The project was not meant for public showing but as a vehicle for my learning curve. The Dom asked me to send my project file so he could help, I sent it to him via an e-mail and he posted his version on the forum, I’m so glad he did because not only I but others have no dought benefited thanks to you and Lins video tutorial. Tom. P.S. Jean-Pierre you forgot to rotate the rotors in your last post, or did you?.

AV Tutorial (SWF) on using JPD's Rectangles
Tomuk replied to Lin Evans's topic in General Discussion
Lin, Thats fantastic. The button between the zoom controls was the bit I didn't find, your tutorial was just great, very easy for a "Dim Wit" like yours truly to understand. Must go now as I am chaffing at the bit to have a go. Thanks again for all your troubles, To The DOM, JPD,AL, KEN,Peter and everybody else who took the time to help me , thank you very very much. Tom. -
Lin, You are a star,a bright shinning star, I will be sitting at my computer holding my breath awaiting your tutorial, Could you also add it to the pinned tutorials incase my rapidly ageing memory should accelerate. Tom.

Peter, It's good to know I am not alone, I find it very flustrating not being able to insert things I know can be achieved into my shows, hopefully with the help of our friends on this forum P2e wont be the daunting place it seems to be at the moment. I to would like to know how JPD and others use spreadsheets to heir advantage, maybe one day the will have time to explain. Tom.
-
Lin, I told you I was dim. For the life of me I can't get a rectangle set within a rectangle to rotate into the desired position, I have followed your instruction but without any joy. I hope you can spot what I am doing wrong. By the look of the amount of members who have been reading this thread, it looks to me that I am not the only one who wishes to extend their knowledge base. Please keeep up your good work. Tom.

Thank you to all of the above. I shall have a try by following Lins instructions on JPd's method, I will post my results for you to have a laugh at my uneducated attempts. Tom.

Hi! Ken. I have taken your advice and registered with Dropload, they don't provide for leaving a link to your file on forums,or do they?. As far as I can see, every thing is done by e-mail and for that you need to know e-mail addies. The only wnsoft forum members e-mail addie I have is the Doms as he sent it to me. By using this method of contacting you,I believe you will be able to see my addie, please let me have any more info you may have. Thanks for helping. Tom.

Hi! Tom, Thanks for replying, Yes I have Photoshop and yes I know all the tricks on how to put movement into a still image. What I am looking for is a way to reproduce whirling rotors in P2e PZR editor in 5#8u. The Whirling rotors must be horizontal as the Helicopter pans across the screen from left to right. I hope I am making myself clear on what I am looking for, I just wish I had a web site that I could host a P2e file, and post a link here for downloading. Any help you can give will be of help, The Dom is already on the case for me, I’m sure he will provide the answer. If you would let me know you E-addie I will e-mail the P2e file to you. Tom.

Hi! All, Can anyone help? I am trying to recreate helicopter rotors rotating on the horizontal but I am having no success, I can get something of an effect by using a vertical png file and rotating it at a speed of knots in PZR editor (5#8u) but it’s not very realistic looking, any suggestions you might have would be most welcome. Tom.

Lin, I thought we photographers had THREE eyes anyway, left-right and the photographers eye...ROG-LOL. Very glad to see you up and running again. Tom.

Al, I appreciate what you are saying- but wouldn’t it be great if you could create an animation then save that animation into a folder on your hard drive for later use in projects. PNG files are files in question, you can save the good bits with a transparent background and delete the chaff, the result can be used over and over again and a library can be built up. I feel sure our sequence building would give us even more pleasure (if that’s at all possible) if we had this facility, one can only dream though. At the moment I am creating fluttering winged butterflies, as per the Doms demo, (he kindly sent me his P2e file so I could emulate it) the fluttering takes a lot of keypoints to make it realistic and I don’t have the computer skills as you and JPD have, I believe you use spreadsheets somehow. I must get myself off to my bed now as it’s 1.30 in the early hours here, thanks again for your help and I will speak to you virtually very soon. Tom. Maybe Boxing has a utility to do just that thing, give him a try. Tom.

Lin, It's great to find you back on the Forum, I hope all your problems are now behind you. Once again you have come up trumps for me, I tried Hawks suggestion and it works great, all I have to do once slide is copied and pasted into new work, import a new background into it as an object, make it the main image by checking box then, delete old background if required. I don't think it's an ideal solution but it does work, maybe Igor and the team can create a file extention that will allow the saving of objects as layers (as in photo editing progs) then as an image that can be saved to the hard drive for future use. Hint-Hint. Anyway enough waffel, thanks again Lin. Tom.

Hi! All, Has anybody discovered a way of saving created complex objects and animations so they can be use in other presentations or slide shows ?. I have worked for long periods of time producing animations and then find they can only be used in the p2e that they were created in. If anyone has an ideas I would be most grateful. Tom.

Dom, I think we are singing from the same hymn sheet but to clarify what I was asking, Is there a simple way to sync both wings so they flutter in sync?. What I have been doing is setting the keypoints for the left wing and writting down (on paper) the time of each keypoint and then duplicating these times on keypoints for the right wing, am I correct?. Tom.
-
Hi! Dom, I have downloaded your p2e file, it's just what I was looking for. I took the libety of customising the bodies with a bit of creative colour, I hope you don't mind?. I had a bit of a problem with the sync of the wing flutters but with the help of pen and paper (to record keypoint times) I managed to overcome them, If you know of a better way of syncronisations I would be most grateful. Keep thoes fantastic demos comming, they have become my main source of help and information. Tom.
-
Dom, Thank you, I can't wait to have a go at producing fluttering butterflies, one point tho, would it be possible to make the wings flutter faster and if so how?. Tom.
-
Igor and the Team, Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year. thank you and God bless. Tom

Hello Boogie, Try...Laugh out loud.....but I think your definition is better. Tom.
-
Thank you Igor, That did the trick, sequences are now running sweet and smooth, thank you once again. Tom.

Oh! DEER Lin, what fun. LOL LOL LOL

Hi! All, To-day I took delivery of a new desktop PC and I am having problems with the Graphics Card I had installed , The card is a Radian ATi X1300 with 512mb on board, my problem is I am experiencing a flashing of another image on or before transitions, this is happening on previously made sequences (made on my laptop that has a Radian x700 and run perfectly smooth on laptop and other computers) and mock sequences made on the new computer, has anybody else had this problem?, if so would you please share the cure?. The rest of the system; 2gb of DDR2 400 memory, Intel 2.8 duel core processor, 250 mb Seta hard drive, Windows XP Home edition with service pack 2. Tom.
