  1. Very, very nice, Andrew Maureen
  2. Hi Davy - You really are the most prolific of a/v-ers. Another good one and how awful it would have been to destroy these photographs. Loved the music, too, which was just right - nice and gentle. Can I ask what it was please? BTW, hope you enjoy your 1920x1200. It really does make a difference. Maureen
  3. Bill, as requested in your email, the link to the MAC version of Lakeland in Winter is below and hopefully correct this time. http://mediafire.com/?otqujxqmm05 If this doesn't work, please let me know. Maureen
  4. Hi Dick - many thanks for the links. I have viewed them with great interest and have kept them for looking at again. It seems they went a month or so earlier than we did and probably weren't as lucky with the weather, although they did get some really beautiful light. The voyage through Drake's Passage looked interesting on that smaller boat; don't think I could have looked at a meal during that. We sailed through in a Force 10 but obviously had more stability, thank goodness. Those guys sure had some expensive gear - obviously real enthusiasts! Once again thanks and glad you enjoyed the show. Maureen
  5. Davy - I want to say this on here but I will email you separately and more fully. I want to thank you for being so honest with me and pointing out the now so obvious flaws in my presentation, mainly in the quality of the music. I'm afraid I'm going to have to closet myself with the Sound Editing Tutorial and really try to improve my editing skills which, as we both agree, are not my strong point. A/V competitions leave me cold. Thanks again - you're a gem. Maureen
  6. Thanks, Paul. Maureen
  7. Hi Dave - glad you enjoyed the show and thank you for saying so. Yes, I do get around as I am all for doing what you can WHILE you can. Had a great many years staying at home but have certainly made up for it. Maureen
  8. Thanks, Ken. Now I know how simple it is I will do it in future. Maureen
  9. Bill - have managed (I hope) to create a MAC version. I was still on V5.6 of PTE so it involved a bit of head scratching until I downloaded V6. After that, it was a piece of cake! Perhaps you could let me know if it turns out okay, please. http://www.mediafire.com/?jj4mrmdm2nn Maureen
  10. Guys, thanks to all of you who have passed comments. So pleased you enjoyed it as I certainly did making it, despite having to wear an extra 'woolly'. Maureen
  11. Bill, if some kind person would tell me how to do a MAC I woould be only too pleased. I could then post it on the other Media website. Maureen
  12. Ken - we started the trip in Puerto Williams, Chile and ended up in Ushuaia in Argentina. We were just coming into Ushuaia when I took the ship. Maureen
  13. These pics have been lying around for the last three years doing nothing until I decided it was time to sort them out. The presentation is sized at 1920*1200; 32.8Mb; approx 65 slides and 7m48s. Probably a bit too long for some but it is such a spectacular environment and I took literally hundreds of pics. The hardest part was deciding what to leave out and maybe I, too, have been more than a little self-indulgent. However....... here they are. Maureen
  14. Gosh, Bill, that was quick, and thank you for your comments. Maureen
  15. Barry What a marvellous idea and so beautifully done, though I have to admit that I, too, like Dave, found myself trying to read the text and see the pics flying in at the same time. However, I just watched it through again - no hardship there. A stunning a/v. Maureen
  16. Errr.... maybe I won't bother after all. My excuse? No demo. Guess you called my bluff! M
  17. No need ever for you to throw the towel in. I could never match you for creativity or your other obvious (musical) talents. I could just about manage Braveheart with one finger on the piano, though. Then again, maybe not...... Maureen
  18. Dave A beautiful, atmospheric show. My only criticism is that it ended rather abruptly rather than fading away but that is only my opinion. I asked my partner, who is a civil engineer and a Gloucestershire man and someone who knows the river well, to take a look. He was very impressed and said that it brought back lots of memories and incidentally (but as you say, another story), is very much against the barrage. He did ask if you had a photo of the Severn bore. Good luck with your talk; the a/v should complement it well. Maureen
  19. Hi Davy This really does come up well on a larger monitor and as others have said, I wish the images were mine. When time permits, I may well have a go at re-working one or two of mine and also trying different music. Maureen
  20. As usual, Davy, you always come up with something a bit special. Fractal Worlds is beautiful with its range of brilliant colours and I thoroughly enjoyed 'What Lies beneath.. the first time around but even better on a big monitor. As you can imagine, Frozen appealed to me most as I am currently working on an a/v about Antarctica, tho' I could do with one or two of those seal pics. Great work, as always. Maureen
  21. Wow, Dave. Almost fell off my perch at the start of this one! As you said, this is a very 'personal' sequence but of the type I think you do very well as I have watched several of your camping/outdoorsy' shows before. You certainly captured the atmosphere of the place - I almost felt I was there, especially when someone asked 'anyone want a gin and tonic?' I was particularly interested in this show as my son lived in a part of Sweden for a few years where they, too, hunted to fill the freezer with moose. You guys certainly know how to enjoy yourself. A good show. Maureen
  22. Hi Dave Hope you were able to move your chair back a little further to view this one. Seriously though, glad you enjoyed it and thanks for commenting. Maureen
