  1. Thank you, Anthony. Pleased you enjoyed it. Maureen
  2. 5m.6s. Res: 1920X1280; A short stop on the island of Mykonos, Greece, which was a port of call on a recent cruise. On www.slideshowclub.com/pte both PC and MAC versions available. Maureen
  3. Thank you again, Patrick. Maureen
  4. Hello Patrick First of all, thank you for your comments. In answer to your question, no, I did not use a polarising filter. My camera was hand-held and I would have lost two stops of what light there was had I used one. As regards colour, I am always amazed at the intensity of colour in the Highlands at this time of year, exaggerated somewhat when the weather is wet (often!) and then again by the light of a low sun. Again, thank you. Maureen
  5. Hi Jeff - thank you for the kind words. I think that most of those pics were taken using the Nikon D7000 with the 18-140 lens but I also use the D300 (Nikon) with a 16-85 lens (which is my favourite combination). I always shoot in RAW and process in Adobe Camera Raw with tweaks to contrast, etc, and sharpen in PS. Maureen
  6. True, but that is Scottish weather. Maureen
  7. I could, Ken, if it were true. I wasn't cold and I certainly wasn't lonesome. M
  8. A new slideshow. Res: 1920x1200. The last week of October this year in the far North-West of Scotland proved to be extremely wet and windy. However, there were occasional breaks in the clouds... PC and MAC versions on www.slideshowclub.com Maureen
  9. Mary, thank you for your comments. We did indeed get lucky with the weather. Maureen
  10. Hello Jeff Thanks for your comments. I try to do the minimum in Photoshop - just tweaking here and there, plus of course sharpening. No, I have never used any of the post-processing Nik filters. Maureen
  11. In the likely event that I have slipped up twice I have also put the MAC version on www.mediafire.com/download/7375as2y1h0pqt5 Sorry for inconvenience caused. Doh! Maureen
  12. Hello to Eric and Paul. Thanks for letting me know about this. I have no idea why it won't open but maybe I did click on the wrong 'save'. Have put up again on www.slideshowclub.com a MAC version. Hope this is okay but perhaps you will let me know. Thanks. Maureen
  13. Ken - if you email me with your questions, maybe I could answer. No, hadn't thought about enabling the video bar. Maureen
  14. New slideshow of images taken during a visit to Ireland during Summer 2009. Res: 1920:1200; 5m.55s; 46.5Mb; Can be downloaded from www.slideshowclub.com Maureen
  15. Oh, I don't think so, Ken. Maureen
  16. New slideshow of a recent expedition cruise to South-West Greenland making landings at various towns and settlements. Res: 1920x1200; 36.0Mb; 4m.54s; Both PC and MAC versions downloadable from www.slideshowclub.com Maureen
  17. Hi Dave Guess she would 'phone a friend'. She usually does. Maureen
  18. Dave - I have a distant relative who is 90+ years and persists valiantly in trying to learn how to use the PC. She likes to download my shows and it is just one less step for her. Maureen
  19. Dave - hopefully more when I can get my head around sorting them out. I took so many images I hardly knew where to start. Thought I'd get the Icefjord out of the way first. Maureen Dick Cambridge Bay sounds an interesting place to visit. We encountered a great deal of ice on our trip which prevented some planned landings and meant an extra day at sea; however, it can be expected on a trip such as this. Maureen
  20. Hi Ken - thanks for your comments. Now to try and get on with the next one... Maureen
  21. New slideshow: 46 slides; 5m.12s; 1920x1200. Icebergs are called Ilulissat in Greenlandic. Ilulissat is the third largest town in Greenland and is set in marvellous surroundings at Ilulissat Icefjord which is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here enormous icebergs run aground at the mouth of the fjord, just ouside the town, which originate from the Jakobshavn Glacier, one of the most productive glaciers in the northern hemisphere. These photographs were taken during a recent visit in early June this year. Can be downloaded at http://www.slideshowclub.com - Ilulissat and the Ice Fjord Maureen
  22. Hi Snapcam Will PM you later. Regards Maureen
  23. My thanks to all of you for your kind comments. Maureen
  24. A new slideshow. Photographs taken mid April this year in the Southern and Western highlands. The high mountain ridge photographs were taken by my son as, I regret to say, my high mountain ridge walking days are over. Res. 1920x1200; 52 slides; 5m.37s. on www.slideshowclub.com Maureen
  25. Thanks to all of you for your comments. I'm very grateful. Maureen
