  1. Hard to say, Ken, it varies, though a lot of their hut roofs are of turf. Maureen
  2. An updated version of what was my first slideshow from about 7 years ago, photographed in the Jostedalsbreen and Jotenheim National Parks, Norway. Both PC and MAC version available at www.slideshowclub.com
  3. Thanks you. It's played by Rick Wakeman, from his album 'Voyage'. Maureen
  4. No, Eric. Still using the old one. Will be about a couple of weeks or so before the new one. Maureen
  5. Just a few images from a couple of days spent in Amsterdam during August 2012. Amsterdam is the capital city of The Netherlands, famous for its historic canals and several other attractions. PC and MAC versions on www.slideshowclub.com Maureen
  6. Rick - thank you for commenting. Maureen
  7. Thanks to all for taking the time to view and comment. They are much appreciated. Maureen
  8. Hi Mick Thank you. I have passed on your comments to Mark. I have to say his photographs were hard earned usually gained by him sleeping out in a little Suzuki Jimny for several nights in some very cold temperatures just to be in the right place at the right time. There were many days when no photographs were taken due to bad weather. Will email you separately. Maureen
  9. Hi Eric - been very busy of late and likely to be for a few months so haven't had the time or the inclination to try and get to grips with something new. Yes, of course you can use my show and any other whenever you like. Maureen
  10. Another simple slideshow featuring some new photographs from my son's fairly recent visit to Iceland in September this year. Both PC and MAC versions on www.beechbrook.com/pte with grateful thanks to Bill Hines, as always. Maureen
  11. Thanks, Bert. I have emailed you. Maureen
  12. Hi Dick Thank you for commenting. I am very lucky in that I live close to the edge of two National Parks, the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District. Maureen
  13. Ken - Yes, it's the one I thought you meant. I've sent you an email. Maureen
  14. Hi Rick Thanks for the kind words. For years I have used Nikon - the pics on this slideshow were taken with a D300 and a D80. My favourite combination is the Nikon 16-85 lens with the D300. Love it. With the D80 I have used the 18-70 kit lens which came with the camera or the Nikon 18-200 VR. Maureen
  15. Thanks, Ken. I think maybe the one you can't figure has a covering of ice on the water. Maureen
  16. Thanks, Jim. I have replied. Maureen
  17. A few images taken in the English Lake District during the autumn and winter months. Both PC and MAC versions on www.beechbrook.com/pte With grateful thanks to Bill Hines, as always, for hosting. Maureen
  18. Thanks, Eric. I now look forward to viewing. Maureen
  19. Thanks, Eric and Ken. Willl look forward to seeing. Maureen
  20. Hi Eric I thought the show would bring back your memories. Maybe you could let me have the link to your Autumn Show, please. Maureen
  21. My thanks to all of you for your very kind comments. It is very satisfying to know that you all enjoyed the show. Rick - The Lakes is next on my list of projects. I've had something in mind for a while. Ant - I lived all but the last 10 years of my life in Yorkshire and spent about 40 years walking in the Dales prior to getting properly hooked up on this photography lark. Oh to be able to turn back the years.... Thanks again. Maureen
  22. Hi Colin Thank you for your kind words. A few years back my husband had to visit NZ on business and has since raved about its beauty and has always wanted to return. I have permitted keyboard control so if you press your space bar it will pause any image. Maureen
  23. A few images taken last year during a few days walking in the Yorkshire Dales - an area of scenic beauty in the North of England. Much of the landscape here is limestone country with lush green valleys (know locally as 'dales' from the Nordic word 'dal'). Throughout the dales, fields and pastures are bounded by distinctive white drystone walls which criss-cross the hillsides in elaborate patterns. There are many such dales in Yorkshire - this slideshow visits just a few of them. On www.beechbrook.com/pte for PC and MAC with grateful thanks to Bill Hines as always. Maureen
  24. Thanks, Rick. Maureen
  25. Yes, I'm sure you miss them. Maureen
