Thanks Eric. I did think that Honfleur may have been one of your ports of call during your sailing days. I wonder if it IS the same boat - these were taken in April 2008. As regards the music, I didn't really think that the lively 'Pigalle' would be appropriate with the church and bells at the end. Just my opinion, I guess. Maureen

Photographs taken a few years ago during a very short visit to Honfleur in North-west France. At www.beechbrook.com/pte/downloadfile.asp?id=2387 - PC version www.beechbrook.com/pte/downloadfile.asp?id=2388 - MAC version With grateful thanks to Bill at Beechbrook, as always. Maureen

Jim - an afterthought! We actually did a couple of SHORT walks on Skye, one on the Quirang and another from Slighachan Bridge into the Cuillin, but no walking in the Outer Hebrides. Maureen
-
Thanks, Jim. No, we didn't walk. We had taken the car over and whilst it had been our intention to do SOME walking, we had some pretty wild and wet weather so staying dry seemed the better option. Maureen

Thank you, Ken and Roger, for your comments. Maureen

Oh Roger, we often see rain on our trips. Thanks for your comments. Maureen

Early May on the windswept and rain lashed Hebridean Islands, off the west coast of Scotland. There are two main groups, the Outer and Inner Hebrides. This visit covered some of the Outer islands before finishing on the Inner Hebridean island of Skye. Eastertime this year we spent a few days in Malta, an island in the Mediterranean Sea, south of Sicily, and which suffered severely in World War II. Most of the pictures were taken in and around Valletta and the Grand Harbour but some also of Marsaxlokk, Mdina and Gozo. Keyboard control enabled. PC and MAC versions on www.beechbrook.com/pte with grateful thanks to Bill Hines, as always. I, too, use 16:10 format for the same reason as Bert. Alternatively, I use 3:2. Maureen -
Thank you Mary. Maureen

Thanks, Xaver. Will reply to you later. Maureen

Just how much information would you like, Xaver? The Raw converter used was ACR, then tweaked, resized and sharpened in Photoshop. I'm sorry that you don't like my sequences. Perhaps you could put up some of yours from which I may learn to improve. I seem to recall the last one wasn't half bad. Very best wishes Maureen

Thank you, Roger. Maureen

Andrew - thank you. You are very kind but I also think you yourself are being too modest. Maureen

Thanks, Ray. Maureen

Thanks to Mick, Colin, Eric and Ken. Ken - I have been working on this one for many weeks as I kept getting overwhelmed with the number of good images he had. I'd just have to walk away and come back after doing something else. I always ask if I can keep his holiday pics to put on a separate external hard drive which gives me a chance to do something when I feel like it (if I have nothing inspiring of my own), also it is added security for him. A new sequence of images, again taken by my son, of two trips he made to Iceland last year, the first in March and then again late September. Hosted again by Bill Hines on www.beechbrook.com/pte - both PC and MAC versions available. Thanks, Bill. I am grateful, as always. Maureen

Hi Judy. Thank you for your comments and pleased you enjoyed the show. The islands are very interesting and different. I have been to the islands several times and my Spanish is limited to 'Hola' and 'gracias'. Certainly in the touristy areas there's no problem. Maureen

Thanks, Bill. When I recently acquired the ability to create shows for MACs, I did a few shows. Have to go away for a few days but will send you the links when I get back. Maureen
