Hi Mark, the video should play continuosly over the 3 slides. Do the images on these slides show? Jill

Saving the show as a Template will do exactly what you want. It also has the advantage in that all of your shows will be in one place - a Templates folder. Plus all of your shows can be accessed directly from PTE without the need to go searching and unzipping. You can easily copy the Template folders to another PC and they will be available within PTE on that computer also. Not sure about it but I would assume they will also work with the Mac version in the same way. I create a Template for all of my shows.

Agreed Mark, I think this has been asked for before. It would be so much quicker if we could just click on the Slide to set the centre position. Jill

you can't normalise in PTE, use something like Audacity to do that. With PTE you will just have to adjust the volume of teh individual tracks. Jill

Copy and paste keyframes from one layer to another

I agree, PTE is so flexible that you can do anything if you think about it. If I want to copy the parameters of a keyframe, I just copy that Object to another slide & then delete any other keyframes that I do not want. I can then change the Object (image) to another in the Properties tab I find it quick & easy. Jill -

Maybe I am misunderstanding your requests, but if you Clone a keyframe it copies all the settings. To copy a layer - Object - to another slide is easy, right click copy then move to the slide you want & paste. If you then change the file in the properties tab all of the setting will be transferred to the new object. PTE is very easy once you get used to it Jill -
Files used are marked in Bold. This only applies to those added directly to the Slide List. Those added via O&A do not show the Bold tag. Jill

Making all of your slides the same duration becomes extremely boring and predictable to watch. Unless of course you are presenting them as individual single images and not as a whole AV playing in time to the music. It is a standard windows function to Ctrl+A to select all slides, then you can deselect the ones you don't want by Ctrl click on them. Or click on the first then shift click on the last to just select a section. For audio on a video to completely mute it do that in O&A. To adjust the volume right click on the video in timeline and select seperate audio. Then use keyframes on the volume line to adjust. The status bar will show the filename so you can see if jpg or MP4 etc. You may need to turn that on in preferences. PTE really is easy to use and very powerful. The fact that the user has to do things rather it being all automatic is what gives it the flexibity. Jill

Mark, you can do it all in PTE Make the ones you want to last as a Master video on the first slide. Then add the same video to subsequent slides but make it a Linked video. See properties tab for the video in O&A. If the video is shorter than the total length of the slide show, then just make it a master video again when it's duration runs out. This is what I did to the clouds in the 'Suddenly' AV we showed last Friday. Jill

you only get the volume line in the Pro version of PTE. Make sure you are using that - Check Help/About to see your version Jill

type the letter PTE
-
read it through yourself twice slowly That should then be long enough for someone seeing it for the first time to read it. Make sure you use a ledigible font, for some of the more Script type fonts it is better to leave it on slightly longer especially if over an image Jill

This is the slide following the video. In Timeline view the length (duration) of a Slide is determined by where the following slide starts If your video is say 30 secs long & you only want the first 10 secs, then position the following slide (or video) at 10secs - Simple Jill

I gave you 3 different ways to trim a video depending on what you want. The quickest & easiest is in the Timeline As I said above, you don't need to trim the end - just move the following slide to the point you want the video to end. Very quick & easy. Jill

Igor, many thanks for your offer of help. Please see email with Link to MP4 Jill

Having done some more tests it appears to be happening with MP4 files created with M.Objects software. We are currently receiving entries for a competition & these are the ones causing the problems. VLC have come back to say no one else has of yet reported a problem & wanted to know what the Codec was. We have replied that it does appear to be related to M.Objects. MP4's made with PTE both Windows & Mac versions play OK Jill

It appears that there is a problem with the latest VLC Player 3.0.11 MP4 files play perfectly in an earlier version 3.0.8, but the sound breaks up when playing in the latest version. The same MP4 file will play OK in Windows Media Player & in PTE. We have emailed VLC about this problem. Best not to update yet if you have an earlier version. Jill

We use both exe & MP4 & don't have any problems. We have run many online AV events. Make sure you tick the box to 'allow computer sound' and 'optimise full screen video' It could be that your mic is picking up the sound, rather than it coming directly from your computer. This would cause a delay. Jill

Thank you Igor, thanks for all of your efforts in producing the Mac version and all your work on PTE. Best wishes to all at WnSoft. Stay safe and take some time off. Jill

Try uninstalling and then reinstall PTE. I have never had a problem with moving slides. Jill

To remove several slides in one go click on the first, then shift click on the last. Drag the group back up to file list or hit delete Jill

with alignment left & Centre of Text at -100 the Text should stay where you place it & grow to the right. It does when I use this method for aligningtext in a Menu slide. Jill

Use VLC Player - it is free & can save a screengrab from the video as a jpg. The 'hardest' part is making sure you pause the video at the correct place to capture what you want. It will capture at the video resolution. But also very easy in PTE, run it in fullscreen, pause playback at the point you want & if using Windows 10 just hit Windows Key +Shift+S You can then grab the whole screen, or part of it & then save to your chosen folder. No need for extra software. But you do need the screen resolution you are playing back on to be high Jill
