  1. The easiest method to do what you want is to Create a Template. This 'collects' all of the images/videos/sounds along with the .pte file & creates a new .pt Folder. The advantage of using a Template over a Backup.zip file is that all of your Templates are accessible within PTE without having to unzip. It is best to do this once your show is complete. See Main Menu/Templates/Manage Templates & Create Template for this show I leave all of my images etc in their original Folders but create a new folder for each show so I can keep the .pte files as I am working & building up the show. Keep saving with a new name so you can always go back if needed. E.G. MyShow1, MyShow2 etc. Once I am happy with the show I then create a Template. You can then easily transfer this Template Folder to another computer or Backup Drive for safe keeping. Jill
  2. Please use Google Translate or similar to post in English. You do need the Pro version to be able to adjust the Volume with Key Points. Jill
  3. You can easily add a video file with movement to PTE. I don't know what format Elements 2025 will save a picture with movement in, but if it is an MP4, Mov, Avi etc then no problem. Just drag & drop as you would a still image. Jill
  4. Hi Peter, Good to hear from you & that you are still keeping busy. If you are using the exe files to link to all of your projects then the only options I can think of are (asuming I am understanding your problem correctly) 1. Save all of your Projects as Templates. That way you can simply set up PTE to have the Template Folder in the correct place for each computer. 2. Remove the Full Path from the exe's & just have the file name. So instead of "D://myFolder/Show1.exe" Just make it "Show1.exe" keeping the double Quotes at the start & end. As long as all the files are in the same Folder then PTE will find them. Both of these will mean changes to your Projects so could be a lot of work depending on how many you have. Hope this helps & you can be up & running again. Jill
  5. Glad you have it sorted & hope your Great-Granddaughter enjoys. Jill
  6. what resolution are you Publishing at? Have you ticked 'Motion Blur' ? this can increase render times Is there anything else running on your computer at the same time, such a scan etc. ? A 5.5 min show should render in about the same time at 1920x1080 with your computer spec. Can you post a screen shot of the Publish settings you have used. Jill
  7. It sounds like you need to move the Centre point to be in the Centre of the Image you want to rotate. If you hold down the Shift Key & move your mouse over the Centre Point it will change from an arrow to a Finger. Keeping Shift held down drag the centre Point to the position on the image that you wish it to rotate around. This should then do what you want. Jill
  8. does anyone still use BlueRay or even DVD these days? It was taken out of PTE as it is now old technology Jill
  9. What is the exact message that comes up? Where are you trying to save it to? Is it a fixed drive on the computer or an external drive? If you can give more info then someone should be able to help (I am not a Mac user) Jill
  10. I think the Motion Blur will also increase file size? Jill
  11. I am very surprised at that size for a 3 min MP4 I have a 6 min one that is only 434MB But I notice that you have Motion Blur also ticked, that will increase the size as well as rendering time. It is only needed if you have some very fast animation of still images. Jill
  12. I think the Lossless compression will greatly increase the file size. Just leave everything at the default setting & at 60p should be fine Jill
  13. Also check out the online Help files, not a video but do explain how to do things. (see the Menu at the top of the Forum for link) The best way to learn is just to try things & see what it does. Everything is PTE is virtual so you can't destroy your original images or sound. Just remember when making a show to keep saving the Project File as you go along & with a different suffix so you can get back if needed. E.g. MyShow1, MyShow2 etc. Learn the basics then gradually progress & if stuck don't be afraid to ask on the Forum - no question is too basic Most of all enjoy & have fun Jill
  14. It won't do what you want unless you add it to the Middle one of the 3 Keyframes. Keyframe1 - Start position Keyframe2 - mid position with Smooth Move Modifier Keyframe3 - End Position Jill
  15. Add the Modifier 'Smooth Move' to the middle keyframe This will make it travel in a smooth arc across the screen Jill
  16. I am using 11.0.13 & it works fine, i have just tried it with a new project. Select all the slides you want, change Transition Time & Duration if needed & then in Slide Options choose the Transition that you want them to have. If this still doesn't work then try with a new project with just a few Slides & see what happens. Jill
  17. You can adjust the opacity of each image so you can see parts of them all. Or use masks to hide/reveal the bits you want to see. I can give a recap of that on Friday if you need It. Jill
  18. Yes, I think you will have to use a Mask if you wish to replicate the 'Dissolve Smooth'. Very easy to do, just put the background in the Mask & move it across to reveal the Text. Jill
  19. Hi Mike, The only way, if you don't have the original Project Files, is to screen grab them with something like OBS Studio. This works very well but has to be done in realtime. Always save the Project Files as either a Template or Backup Zip, then you can easily go back to update or create an MP4 I will be covering Templates in my talk to LAVG in a couple of weeks. Jill
  20. You cannot use PSD, they need to be jpg. I think Tiff also works but they will be much larger & no advantage in using them. Not sure about HEIC as I don't have any of those files, but I don't think so. Best to stick with jpg & png although webp also works as well as most video formats Jill
  21. This is the problem, you need to give each slide a duration that is longer than the Transition time. If you have wait for Keypress to show next Slide then it doesn't matter what the duration is ( but not 0), it will stay on screen until you press the right arrow key. No need to set it for 10 mins, just leave as the default of 5 secs unless you have any animation that needs a longer time. Glad you now have it working Jill
  22. 312mb is not large so I don't understand why it won't run. .mov files don't cause a problem & if the Preview works then there is no reason the exe won't. Unless you have some anti virus software that is stopping it? Have you tried making a Safe exe?? What are your Project Option / Control settings, can you post a screen grab? Don't give up as PTE is a great piece of software You can convert the .mov files to .mp4 in PTE, just right click the file in the Filelist & click Convert/Trim Video if you feel this would help. Jill
  23. .mov files should run fine. The problem may be if the files are large, then it can take time for the exe to start, especially if you have a virus checker running. Either leave it for a while to see if it does run (could be up to 1 min depending on size & how powerful your computer is) Or Try to publish as a Safe Exe, this should then start straight away as it produces a very small .exe file & then a much larger .pteav file which contains all the video clips etc. This will be produced as a .zip file & you will have to extract both files from it to run. If you transfer to another computer then make sure you copy both files & keep them together in the same folder. Jill
  24. If you have set the show to wait for key press to show next slide, then you need to press the right arrow key on the keyboard to get It to move on. You also need to publish your show as an exe file. Hope this helps. If not come back and post a screenshot of your settings. Jill
  25. No problem, once you get used to PTE it is very easy. You need to go into Objects & Animation & you will see the image & you can add your Text there. Type the Text you want & adjust it's postion & size by Clicking on it & dragging. Then go to the Animation Tab & look at the Timeline below the image & you will see a little blue square at the start - this is a Keyframe. Drag this to the end of the grey bar so it is at the end of the Transition In for the Slide. Set the Opacity at this point to be 0% Add another keyframe (right Click & select Clone) Click on this & drag it a bit further along & set the Opacity to 100% Add 2 more Keyframes further along the Timeline at the point you want the Text to fade out, setting the first to 100% & the 2nd to 0%. The distance between the Keyframes is the time it takes to perform the animation. So a longer distance = a longer time. You may need to adjust the duration of the Slide to fit. This is the easiest option to try while you are still learning. Once you are more familiar you can then have a go at Text Animation which is located on the Property Tab in O&A Just play around until you get the hang of it. Jill
