A short show, (two & a half mins, 26mb) about a friend of mine who is an ardent begonia grower. Robert will be showing his begonias at Ayr Flower Show this W/End where he has gained many medals in previous years. Robert is not only a grower but also an accomplished photographer and water colour artist. Thanks to Bill at Beechbrook Cottage who has hosted the show and it can be seen there. Jim M.

It's been a while since i have made a slideshow. Recently I visited the Outer Hebrides and I have made a show from there. It is in 1920x1080 format, lasts for 7.5 min, which may be too long and is 31mb in size. I would appreciate your thoughts on it. Jim. http://www.mediafire.com/?yjhhzmyzygy

Hello Nobeefstu, Thanks for taking the time to reply and type all of these instructions. Not being computer literate I tried Anthony's method and it did the trick. Regards Jim M.

Hello Anthony, Thanks for your quick reply, your solution worked a treat. Regards, Jim M.

Hello All, Is there anyone who could advise me. I would like to be able to open a slide from the slide list into photoshop. At the moment when I use the ctrl+w keys it opens up in paint. I can see no options or preferences to be able to change this. I am using cs3, windows 7 64bit and the latest version of PTE. Many thanks in advance. Jim M.

Maureen, The Hebridean photos were taken on North Uist, South Uist and Eriskay. Next year I'm going to Lewis and Harris, I've heard that they are more photogenic.

Simply SUPERB. Thanks for sharing. Now where did I put my jacket.

John, The image size is 1400x788px which equates to 16x9, widescreen, I also made at 1920x1080 which fills my screen completely but I did'nt know if everyone would be able to view it at that size. As for the competition , it has'nt been held yet. Regards, Jim.

This is the show I intended to upload instead of the Hebrides. Regards, Jim M. http://www.mediafire.com/?2y25xy2mjon

Bill, My mistake I've actually uploaded the wrong show, this is a show I made earlier this year of the western Isles. It was made for a club competition, hence the missing name. I'll edit the title as everyone will be looking for the autumn colours. Regards Jim Millar.

Hi All, Had a trip to the Western Isles earlier this year and made a slideshow of my visit. Any advice is welcome. Regards, Jim M. http://www.mediafire.com/?nwvzzyvnezy

Thank you for taking the time to view and comment on the show. The photo's were all taken in Scotland some central and some in the West highlands with the exception of the last one which was from the Lake District, England. I take your point about the brightness of the snow, perhaps I should lower the opacity of these layers. I made my own snow layers in P.S. Method- make a new transparent layer and duplicate, select bottom layer and fill with black. select top layer. select the brush tool and pick a preset, I used No 100 in cs3. change the F/G colour to white and paint over the top layer, do not drag the brush only click once or twice and move on until the layer is covered. delete the black/bottom layer. duplicate the transparent layer twice, deselect the top & bottom layers and with the centre layer selected flip horizontally, deselect the centre layer and select the top layer and flip vertcally. save each of these layers seperately as PNG's which will give you 3 snow layers I have included a couple of screen shots. Sorry but it seems tht I'm not allowed to upload PTE project files. Regards Jim M.

Hi all, Got a problem with the last show I made, can't seem to get rid of the stutter in the snow layers. If somebody can point me in the right direction I'd be extremely grateful. It was made in 5.6 Can be seen at the link below. Jim M. http://www.mediafire.com/?xzzvvmbaynz

Hello All. Thanks for looking at my show and taking the time to comment on it. Every little bit helps. I have to admit this was not my first attempt, it was actually my 2nd. I first tried the same show in PSG and was not impressed with the quality. the same show in P2e was a big improvement, much much sharper. as for the music I picked Mozart's clarinet concerto and made the slideshow to suit. Although I'm new to making AV's I'm not new to photography which has been my hobby for more than 30 years. It's only since I retired that I have had the time to concentrate on the AV side of photography. Thanks again for your comments, they have been duly noted. Kind Regards, Jim.

Hello Peter, Just had a look your show and enjoyed it very much, excellent photographs showing lovely textures in the stonework and the music was very apt. Was in N. Yorkshire at the end of last year, visited Bolton and Fountains Abbey's without the same results that you attained. Will have to get busy and make up a template for my portrait shots. great tip, thanks very much. Regards Jim.
