  1. Ivor, It sounds to me like you have all the files, if you scroll down you will see one with pic (arrow) exe written on the icon, if you double click on that it should open. Its late now but you might get more help from our friends in the states but like I said it does look like you have the files. Ralph
  2. I paid with a Maestro card and had no problem doing so, I also have home premium and once again no problem, one thing I might add is that I disabled User Account Control in Vista, it really is a pain in neck, not everyone will agree in disabling UAC but it helped me no end. For many, this is probably the most irritating Vista feature of all. You’ll probably encounter it within minutes of using the operating system and it’ll continue to bug you on a regular basis. Any tasks that require administrator privileges to run require you to explicitly authorise them each time. This takes the form of a dimmed screen and a dialogue box alerting you to the fact that a program needs elevated privileges to continue. Of course, preventing user programs from performing unauthorised functions is a good thing. Without access to privileged system components, malware is unable to wreak the havoc it enjoyed under XP. Most other modern operating systems have a similar security system. However, Vista’s implementation can be disruptive to your work. ALTHOUGH ITS NOT RECOMMENDED, User Access Control (UAC) is easy to turn off. Open up the control panel and go to User Accounts. Under ‘Make changes to your user account’, the bottom option is ‘Turn User Account Control on or off’. Ralph
  3. Igor, thank you so much, I can only repeat what everyone has already stated, the software is the best there is, your hard work and that of your team is truly appreciated. Good luck in its worldwide use and acclaim. Ralph Willerby camera Club, Hull, UK
  4. To add to this post, I purchased Lin's tutorials, they have helped me tremendously. Ok, I could of found things out for myself which I had been doing and doing rather well, but Lin's tutorials have moved me on at a much quicker pace. Lin,Peter,Ken,davegee, BB, to many to mention but you all know who you are, thanks for sharing your knowledge. Ralph.
  5. Hi Dave I purchased last year and recieved a "txt" file which I placed into the same folder as pte which was placed in program files, I had no problem in installing. I then decided to upgrade which as you know includes videobuilder, the new reg was also a "txt" file and I just replaced the old "txt" file with the new one regards Ralph
  6. I agree, another great pano Lin, the light is perfect in my eyes. Im always reminded by a member at our camera club (Hes 88 yeras of age) who has been a keen photographer since he was 8 years of age, that light is the key to any great photo. Your pan will make me rise before the sun is up and encourage me to see what I can produce with my camera as we have some beautiful countryside here in Yorkshire in the UK. Ralph
  7. I am a garden designer by trade and can see the advantage of producing panoramas, my new camera produces perfect stitched pans and the quality is excellent. So I can do this for my clients and they think Im clever. My son visited the grand canyon last year and on seeing his photos of this beautiful area I would of loved to have seen a full 360 pan. I also want to learn everything about PTE and pans are another facet. Lins 360 is so smooth and Glides perfectly to a stop and he did mention quality, I learned from it and Im sure others will also. I continue to learn from you all so thanks, so please, on behalf of all of us new memebers keep posting because as I learn so do others and I know the camera club I belong to will benefit as I pass on lessons learnt from you guys. ralph
  8. Hi Gerard, I really like the photography and subject matter and the music sets the mood for such a heavy "industrial" peice, well done and congratulations. ralph
  9. Hi Pat, Igor was on holiday during the dates you mentioned, thats probably the reason you did not get a reply as he always replies very quickly. I know you have just joined, but he did mention it to the forum. Im sure it would help you to spend a little time browsing the forums as like you I am new here but I do understand pics to exe fairly well, but some of the guys on here are extremely knowledgable about pics to exe and have written some fantastic stuff on the subject, I have learned so much in the short time I have been here thanks to the forum topics. Regards ralph
  10. Hi All, This week at our camera club a member brought this to my attention Photographic vision I think this is just fantastic, Im sure the more experienced photographers will know about this technology for the blind, this particular story is about Harley Allison, a fourteen year old with a differance being that she is an exceptionally talented photographer. The members wife used to work with Harley and thats why it was brought to our attention, I will also place a link on our clubs website. Ralph
  11. Hi Lin, I really appreciate your expertise on this matter, thank you for taking the time to do the research and post your findings and opinions. I think it looks exciting and i am definately considering buying. Regards Ralph
  12. Hi Lin, I love this program, its tempting, I really think I would like this on my own website but before parting with any money, to your knowledge, is there anything else around that we should consider that comes anywhere near what this has to offer. I value your opinion greatly, thanking you in advance. Ralph
  13. Hello Eric, Yorkshire, gods country as we say. I have been to hawes many times but never stayed behind at night so I was thrilled to view your sequence. I really like the photography, the place really has good street lighting. Pie and peas lol, now we are talking. Ralph

  17. Hi John, With the current economic climate, microsoft will be hard pressed to force another operating system on to consumers. todays news that Dell are cutting 1500 jobs in Ireland. I have a relative that works for Dixons here in the uk, they are finding things tough also. sales in computers have plummeted in recent months, software and hardware is now cheaper than ever but prices are not having much effect on sales. So maybe microsoft might rethink depending on what happens for the rest of the year economically. Many people are still using win98 let alone XP. I am using vista, only because I had to buy a new computer and so it was forced on me, ok I could of removed Vista and loaded XP but I find vista ok so I for one will not be shouting fron the rooftops with glee that microsoft are releasing a new op system. I have trawelled the web for information and it seems that the new system will not effect photoshop etc and Im sure as usual software manufacturers will update drivers as and when. PTE in Igors hands will be fine also. Ralph
  18. Hi Eric, Please forgive me, all done and dusted now, a link to your great site has been placed at willerby camera club Ralph
  19. Hi Jill, I have added a link and also sent you a message regards ralph
  20. Hi all, I am webmaster of our Camera Clubs website, its very new and I have a long way to go with it, work is ongoing and we only have a few photos up and hopefully in the next couple of weeks we will have some members sequences to show as well. I have placed links to several of the sites listed by forum members, if I have omitted anyone I apologise so please let me know and I will place your web site on our links page, be it camera club, competitions, photography, sequences etc, but PTE sites are especially welcome. Thanks ralph Visit Our Website
  21. Hello Lin and Sherry, same to you, I hope the new year is good to you both. I always love viewing your snow scenes. Ralph
  22. Hi Abdol, If you were to ask that question at the search engine Google, you would find several are listed, one in particular "7z is king in compression " but its down to a personal choice, I and many people I know use Win Zip, I do not think there is much to choose between any of them unless you are really into "program speak" At one time everyone would benefit from compression programs but these days modern computers can have a terabyte of memory. Anyway my vote for what its worth goes to the simple WinZip. Ralph
  23. Hi Bill, Beechbrook was one of the reasons I decided (and I know of others in our camera club) to use the magnificent PTE. Seeing and then been able to download presentations gave me so much encouragement to make my own sequences. I will upload a couple soon. Your site is just what we all need, I also love the way it is non competitive, I particularly love the menu option, long may you continue and Happy new Year to you and yours. Ralph
  24. Remember that any reputable company will not ask you to update your details, no matter who they are. ralph
  25. Hi Colin, I think I am correct in saying that many of us use Audacity which is free just go to http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ Ralph
