Ken, Going back to the 40s! Found the Gene Autry version here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tTgCYLVLVpE Alongside, Funny Little Bunny and Sonny The Bunny. He had the Easter market cornered! Cheers, Davy

John, 'Going to give it a miss'! Now I'm offended. Have a couple of versions of Santa Baby myself.Chose an Aussie girl though,so as not to offend. Thanks for the comments. Davy

Ken, Peter Cottontail. My memory draws a blank on that one. Either only shown on the Coffee drinking side of the pond,or way before my time! I know where to to come to though, for a music track. Cheers, Davy

Thanks for the comments everyone. An early Happy Christmas to all. Anybody ready for Easter? Davy

All, Put up a short AV Titled Santa Baby on Mediafire. http://www.mediafire.com/?xk1fjm02zun It’s a simple 2D flat earthers show. Low budget and not even falling snow. Am putting this up early in line with local shops and multi-national companies. Warning! Contains Google downloaded photos, computer art, and cartoon drawings. (sorry Mary) Content has also been altered for effect. If you are offended by Christmas, associated imagery, girls in stockings, Trees, Santa, Babies, Presents etc, do not download. Music is by Kylie Minogue, Santa Baby. Davy

Hi Mary, Thanks for your response.I must say with some points I agree with you and not so with others. Yes I should have made a disclaimer they were not my photos.I don't get out and about on international holidays so only way I get these far off images is via friends or Google.Never my intention to pass any of these Pics as my own for the afore mentioned reason and just because even if there,I couldn't take anything as good. In previous postings of AVs I have mentioned that images were downloaded.Maybe I'm just getting lazy.I can't be bothered making out a slide with music credits etc. I don't view these AVs as anything serious.Maybe if it was for say a competition, but I do not enter anything for competitions. I really don't have a problem using a Googled image.Certainly seeking permission and crediting various sources would be a headache.Different if there was say money or gain of some sort involved.Winsoft is just a small closed loop of people that wouldn't even add up to be a minority group. If I was to post a pic on the web and someone used it in an AV,school project or whatever,I would be delighted. We differ on this point. If I didn't want anyone to use it,I wouldn't post it up on the web. I can accept that along with you there are many who do not approve of this sort of thing, but to varying degrees. You have to accept that are those who don't mind at all. I am glad to have the freedom to make my own choices.I do not overly concern myself with it.I just get on with things. I should feel flattered that you won't like the images now if I didn't take them. Thank you so much. Understanding how you feel,I am quite happy to take the AV down and put some sort of Warning on it. Let me know what you would like. Regards, Davy

Jim, Another great show. The widescreen format really works well here on the landscapes. Plenty to feast the eyes on.Music works well too. Well done. Davy

Jim, We got 2 shows for the price of 1! Great stuff and very generous of you. Davy

Thanks for the comments guys. The music for those who like to know, was the closing title to the suitably named film 'Frozen'. Never had to leave the room to make this, which is just as well.Looked bitter cold. Davy

Hi All, I Put up a short AV Titled Frozen on Mediafire http://www.mediafire.com/?nyd1mymgiie Alaska and the Arctic Tundra. Some of the animals that live in this harsh environment. Nothing fancy or 3D,but you might want to put the heating on! Davy

Hi Andrew, 90+ views and not an expert in sight. They must all be on an extended lunchbreak,or just googling. I expect to see an updated and less regimented AV from you very soon. Have fun, Davy

Hi Andrew, Bearing in mind i'm no AV/photography expert, here's my take on your show. What didn't work for me was the music. It started off fine, but then it became overpowering and too dynamic. I really liked the close up shots. There is a great shot of a figure against a dark threating sky. Pics were good and sharp, but wide shots sometimes a bit busy and bright sunlight marred a few. The 'Shot at Dawn'Sign with the Blur effect didn't work well for me.Just sort of jumped to a blur. I would be tempted to slow things down a little,by taking a several of the pics that wern't as strong as the rest and just increase the time and transitions with those remaining. Music as we all know is a personal thing. It works for some and not for others. Maybe something more contemplative than the Enya track would work better. That's just my take,in the absence of any expert opinions. Good to see you are out and about taking Photos. We spend too much time behind computers these days. 'Keep on Truckin'and keep the AVs coming. Davy

One of my woodworking friends thought it was a video. I didn't even try to explain.I'm just going to treat it as a compliment. Thanks for the comments. Davy

Hi Ken, You can never have enough tools. New or old.Must be part of our Hunter Gatherer nature. Thanks for the comments and links. Davy

Hi All, Put a short AV up on Mediafire titled 'What Lies Beneath' http://tinyurl.com/mousrr It was made for some woodworker friends.A closer than usual look at trees, what lies beneath the bark and what can be made.In this case guitars. Images are downloaded and music by Mark Knopfler Wild Theme. No Naughty girls, sorry. Davy
-
Hi Dom, You could well be right and I don't mind playing about with these girls to get the required effect Would have liked a wider range of pics, but I found it hard to get nice pics of girls that still kept some clothes on! The intro image is static, but is an optical illusion care of google images. Thanks for the comments. Davy
-
Ken, Had to leave out a few pics as well, due to camera shake. 'Looking at the horizons'....Oh the horizons, yes I noticed them too after about 6 seconds. Davy
-
Hi All, I put up an AV titled ‘Seven Seconds’ on Mediafire. http://tinyurl.com/mousrr I wanted to dispel the myth of what men are supposed to think about, every seven seconds. Each image lasts for 8 seconds or so and if the old saying is right, then you are caught in a loop For about 3 minutes. No pretty scenery or pretty music, just pretty girls. Well there is some music and some scenery. Some of the girls would have looked even prettier, if images hadn’t been ‘Digitally Enhanced’? If you don’t like pretty girls, don’t download it. I omitted to put in the Music/Artist at the end of the show. Music Track was. ’ I am in love with you’ by Imogen Heap. DavyC

Benny, Liked this show as well. Course the high octane mix will have the old dudes hitting the esc button. If they complain, you will know you have done a good job! The staccato zoom/pan effect worked well. I'd be tempted to keep it short, but squeeze a few more pics in,as it slowed up visually near the end. Well done. Davy

Peter, Well pimp my PTE! Thought this show was very good.Clever stuff from the spray artists and the AV you made of it. I would have tightened things up a bit,as the show was about 7 min long.Keeping the timing as was, but losing a few of the images to bring it down to about 6 min long. Original music was good except for about 3 min in,when they lost it a bit on the drum sampling. Some chillout beats music might work well, but you aren't restricted to one particular music type with this AV. This show would do well up on Youtube. It's bound to have a 5* thumbs up response. Hard to know if shortening it/changing music track would make it better or worse.Maybe just make it different. The good thing about PTE is, it's easy to make and compare variations. Nice one, Davy

Off Topic: Unique audio software inquiry

Hi, Try some freebie programs out. Burnaware Free, or CD burner xp. Should be able to just drop them in and see a total for time. You can quickly remove a file and insert one of more suitable length. Nero does lots of things in a very average way. Davy -

Hi, Would it be possible just to drop the music files into a cd burning program? Not to burn, but just to see the time taken up by the files. If music isn't that important, maybe organize music into duration segments as well. Would save on the maths and the last track can be selected from a track of suitable size in a duration segment. Hi Andrew, Thats a belter! If I wasn't going out now I'd take out my John Wayne Bowie knife and give it a polish. Will be watching this one again later on. Well done, Davy

Dave, Not sure what's up.Maybe it's copied twice with the same file name. 1 works and the other dosen't. Try it again and see if it works. Mediafire is running slow for me,so I uploaded another version and named it 'Prank Caller'. I don't see it there yet,but will have a look when I get back to the computer. Cheers, Davy
