Lin Thanks for the response. I can understand the motion will not be smoother with the higher frame rate applied when outputting an Mp4 from PTE. I can carefully view the results and I see no difference that I can identify. Where another question arises is this: Tonton said that If you start from a 24fps video and go to 30fps, some extra frames are added by duplicating each 5 or 6 frames randomly. That in some cases, it is visible. If it's going to be visible from 24fps to 30fps, wouldn't it be worse at 60fps and why don't I see that? I am only viewing one 4K video where the movement within it is fairly smooth, its not fast action, so perhaps that may make a difference.

It's a little disappointing not to receive any answer my question above, but perhaps the perception is it's not a genuine question. Well, I can assure you it is and I am willing to be educated by those who know video. My guess is others may also like some clarity too If I have a 4k Video and the properties say its 24fps and assuming I just trim the video length a bit and then output that via Photoshop and retain 24fps Does that video still play at 24fps within a video I have exported from PTE at 60p? Or are approx 2 frames created for every one originally there and the original video is now playing at 60p?

I am not knowledgeable about video so I don’t really understanding why I need to know this? Are there some quality or performance issue that goes along with this and if there are, can anyone explain them.

I think it worth keeping an eye on the average user who just wants to drop a video into their presentation and have it work. I am suggesting that the vast majority of users want the process to be this easy and if it’s not. Rightly or wrongly they will blame PTE I can’t help but think of KFSD here, let’s not make adding video any more complicated than it already is.

Igor I would have to vote for your number 1 idea. Photoshop uses this option a lot and I find it very convenient, because generally we are creatures of habit. We find a setting that appeals to us and we don’t stray too far from it.

Igor As always I have no idea if what I am suggesting is a practical thing, it is just a suggestion and perhaps I wasn't as clear as I should have been before 1. If I add an image in O&A over a white background and apply a 6 px border in black, with a shadow distance of 4 with a size of 4 – Then I add another image to the same background the border goes back to a wide white border and the shadow goes back to default too. Its these that I would like to see remain at the last settings until I next change them. For the border I just want to tick the box, to apply my last setting Adding a shadow as a template doesn't help because you still have to go to the Customise button and click, then Drop Shadow Template and click, then Select the Pre-set and click and finally click OK. 4 clicks and I am asking that it remembers my last settings and just by ticking the shadow box, it applies it. 2. Select Cover screen from within O&A and when the next image is brought into the same slide. The mode returns to fit. This is another where I would like my previous choice to remain at least while I am working this project 3. Can the KeyFrame Time box be outside of the Animation window so I can access it easily whether I have the properties or animation windows open

Yes you completely overwhelmed me, let me explain how you did that. I am working in the Objects and Animation screen and I made a suggestion that some tasks could be speeded up, like cover screen, shadows, border width and colour. Your suggestion: Click out of the Objects and animation screen Click to launch Project Options Click to select the default tab Click the cover screen button Click the Apply to all slides Click OK to close Project options Click back into Objects and Animation screen Brilliant, if only I had thought of that

That’s it is it? your response to a reasonable request is to just post a screen grab that is not relative to what was being asked for. It’s about as useful as a chocolate teapot.

Doesn’t seem as though it would effect you either way then, which was my point really. Speed of work is important, even in a creative pastime.

Micro, milli, whatever MS is, it’s far too small a measure for the average user. Let the small minority who need those fine measurements type the 4 numbers The rest of us normal people can type one.
-
In general use, how many times would a user want to have microseconds as a measurement for keyframes as opposed to whole seconds? I use Keyframe time quite a bit and every time I have to hit 4000 to get a 4 second time I ask myself why. Surely a default is what is commonly used and for those who want or need MS, they can add 4.250 So, I ask that in Keyframe time, if I want 5 seconds I just have to type 5 and if I want half a second I can add 5.5

If I apply the cover screen option in the O&A screen I would like that setting to be remembered, at least until I change it or I close the program Another example would be Border width, but there will be others

Works fine on my PC and that is quite old now. Windows 7 Nvidia GTX 960 graphics card

The one on the right looks better because it's a bit brighter, but it's really marginal and I think it falls within the realms of personal taste

I have recorded a short tutorial for my July newsletter and included this subject

For creative reasons, like helping along the Third Image, lining up horizons etc, I would want to open up a few images together, but probably in the low numbers 2,3 4 maybe, so 25 would more than cater for the reasons we need now and those we may discover later.

I would love to be able to open more than one image directly from the Slide List, Time Line or File List into my image editor with Ctrl+W

Thank you

It doesn't seem a whole lot different to what we pay here

Gary I think your missing the point a bit. There is no way wnsoft is likely to host file sizes in excess of 1Gig on slide show club. It's unreasonable to expect them to pick up the cost of this particularly when we also know that many 500MB slide shows can be made at 70MB just as good. For us to be able to post file sizes of that size, you would very likely have to accept the YouTube model complete with adverts to pay for for service It's not that difficult or costly to invest in an online storage account to allow anyone who has the drive to do so, to get their presentations to others. You don't have to have a web site, but even those are free, just look at Wix. I am a little sceptical that your likely to get many comments from SSC viewers. I don't know about you, but I have never seen an abundance of comments so far. Lin. I accept there will always be exceptions, but the gripes you hear about large downloads rarely mention cost. In fact the last time I recall cost being mentioned was Eric Shepard and his download limit of 20MB. I never considered cost at all in my text above. I was commenting on those who mention file size when they have no reason to do so. I would be interested to hear what this huge premium cost would be for downloading your slide show, which is in itself extreme because you did it as a quality test. Presumably you have no trouble uploading that file size and in my experience that will take a whole lot longer than downloading it and presumably involve the same bandwidth and huge premium cost.

I don't think large files are a problem at all and I wonder why so many make such a fuss about them. You would think that they had to peddle some static cycle for an hour to make the download work. Trust me it takes no effort at all. I appreciate I only live in one part of the world, but this slideshow took 21 minutes to download and I am not a city dweller with super fast Internet. Here at least, bandwidth is not a problem as I guess it isn't in most places anymore. Did the download stop me accessing other areas of the Internet? No. Did the download stop me from working on my PC? No. Do I have to sit by the PC and guard it while it's downloading? No. 21 minutes is probably just enough time to go into the kitchen, make the tea, or coffee. Raid the biscuit tin (Cookie jar) or make a sandwich and come back to the file sitting on the desktop. Where is the problem and so what if your internet takes 40 minutes. Just force yourself to be patient, or start the download when you know you will be away from the PC a while. It will download without your help :-) However, we have got an education issue in front of us when we see CURRENT AV competition rules like these below. So tight that you need to be an expert just to get the file size that low without making a crappy show. 3. A maximum of 3 Audio Visuals can be entered in each section. The maximum length is 7 minutes and maximum file size is 31 MB. Uploading large files in my experience is always a much longer process than downloading.
