Ron and Dave, Thank you both for the advice. This is exactly what I have always wanted to be able to do. Ron, your tut is a masterpiece. I have managed to get it right almost first time. Look out for loads of links to my videos now. God nooooo I hear you shout!!!! Many thanks Andrew

Dave, I understand the code and where it goes, but what I dont know is where you get it from ...... Once the MP4 is converted to .flv or .swf etc it still leaves you with a video file....where do I get the code to embed in the page? Andrew
-
Dave I'll do that, but I need a lot more tuition. Its an age thing.

Ron, email on the way. I had a look at your web site and thats what I would like to learn. Thanks for the help Andrew

How do I get it to play directly from my web server. Many of you have video that plays directly from your own web sites by clicking a link and opening media player. I cant work out how to do that. I created an MP4 file and uploaded it to my web space, then put a link to it on a JPG and thought that should then play, but it just offers open or save. Anyone got any ideas please. Andrew

Kodakchrome - A 24 exposure roll
trailertrash replied to trailertrash's topic in Slideshows & AV Shows
Ken, I cant explain that. On my system its as smooth as silk. I've ran it on my notebook and my sons and its perfect. Also the photography forum I post on reports no such issue. Andrew -
Thanks Barry,I understand that now. Andrew

I'm tipping my hat to Barry Beckham who's template gave me the inspiration to have a go at this. Like every template he creates you dont have to follow it 'parrot fashion' but learn from it and then create your own interpretation. This is mine. There is no keyboard control because the whole object of the show is that the music and slides meet at exactly the right time and place. KB control would just make a nonsense of that. The images are taken from the 'giveaways' you get on your free disc with your photo magazine. Its getting into winter here and not the weather for getting out and about. All comments and advice welcome and thanks also to Yaughtsman1 for the help and advice with an audio issue. 5:44 28 slides several sound files. Warning: Flashing Images http://www.trailertrashaudiovisual.com/Kodakchrome.exe

Eric, Thank you for taking the time and trouble to help. You guys never cease to amaze me with the things you know. I have come up with a workaround based on both you're and Barry's advice. Many Many thanks. Andrew

You could certainly be forgiven for thinking you were elsewhere. What a great set of images. Well put together show. Andrew

Barry, If I understand this right...I can add two pieces of music to One track and they will play simultaneously[sp] then if I add another track it will follow on from the end of track one with its two tracks. Wow, I didnt know that could be done. Question: Something I noticed when I was dueling with this...if I add a sound via add sound and change the start point in the wee box that comes up, the duration reverts to 0:00:000 Should that happen? Andrew
-
Eric, I appreciate the help, but thats a wee bit beyond my level right now. I wish I had you guy's experience. Andrew

OK, I want a specific sound [not the main track] to happen at a specific point in the sequence. I have used the add sound feature [top right] but there is no offset in that menu. The sound is 0.772 in length and I want it to go at 5.103 secs into the slide that I have added it to which is 30.103 secs into the full sequence.. [Hope I'm explaining this right] For the life of me I cant get it right. I've also tried to create a full track in audacity with the sound at the appropiate place but that didnt work out right either. If I use the add track in the main sound menu it doesnt seem to want to play till the main one is finished. So for the minute I'm kinda stumped!!!! Any help please? Andrew

Add a 'Remove Slide' button in O&A screen
trailertrash replied to goddi's topic in Suggestions for Next Versions
Peter, I tried that and it doesnt work [unless I'm doing something wrong] To delete anything you need to have something highlighted. If you would wish to delete the entire slide and all its contents you would need to have nothing highlighted or everything in which case only the highlighted items are deleted not the entire slide. Hope I made that clear. Andrew -
Thanks Mary. I corrected the spelling in the template I put in the appropiate section. Andrew

Thanks Ken, Its nice to give something back just once.
