  1. I just watched all 3 Davy. These are brilliant M8. Loved all 3 but Frozen and Beneath were spectacular. Andrew
  2. Thanks Maureen. I must get out more this year and try those for myself.
  3. Thanks Colin. Soothing is what I was looking for. Andrew
  4. Yes Ken. It must be so satisfying to be in an enviroment where images like those are available. We have some of the best landscapes here in Scotland. For me tho the problem is getting to them, my wheelchair doesnt do well on dirt roads, although I may have it altered for off road. Andrew
  5. This is again created from wallpapers given freely for use without copyright. This time I was looking at 'matching' a soundtrack to a set of slides, that is selecting music that suits the tempo and subject matter. Someting I havent done to well in the past. In fact I had to increase the transition time which I've never done before. So: 15.7meg 3:36seconds 27 slides 1 soundtrack 3:34seconds 1 slide with very subtle animation Timings: 8 seconds with 5 second of that as transitions. The overlay is sized at 1900x1080 PC Version: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?yjdwywwgjyz Mac Version: http://www.mediafire.com/?gwjvfnwj3mu Andrew
  6. Nice one Mary. Love the photography. [Question - How do you do the external/direct link to your .exe file please?] Andrew
  7. Hi Freggle, Welcome to this very friendly and helpful forum. You'll find that whatever question you ask here, whether it's on timing or transitions or in the case of my example above how to execute a particular movement you'll get all the help you need, given freely and with courtesy. Whether you like a particular movement/effect is of-course your own choice, but you may wish to consider that the OP asks their question, based on the need to understand how to achieve a particular set of effects/movements etc. The advice given is based on that and not on our personal likes and dislikes. It really wouldnt do if we got the answer, "I'm not helping 'cause I dont like it" would it? There are a wealth of facilities in P2E and I'm sort of the low guy in the food chain around here, so I ask many and varied questions, in an effort to understand them. I notice in your intro your also new to P2E, so may I again welcome you to the best forum for AV and look forward to seeing your own presentatins in due course. Andrew
  8. Your right Eric. So I've started a 'ledger' and also I'm keeping the examples as templates. Andrew
  9. Peter, Eric and Linn, This is exactly what I have been trying to achieve. More bl**dy bells and whistles I'm afraid, but it works. Thank you Gentlemen. Andrew
  10. Just a few wee comments: Outstanding - Beautiful and perfect. Andrew
  11. Thanks peter. Yes thats exactly it. I'll note all the details before I play with it. I'll also have a look at that transition you mention, sounds kida cool. Thanks again. Andrew
  12. Thats it Peter. Now how did you do that [Gonna have to disect the example]. Thanks Peter. I couldnt figure that out at all. Andrew
  13. Hi guys, If I could describe it better. 3 images one behind the other as seperate layers. then the images behind the first come from behind the first and come to the front, changing positions.Sort of like shuffling a pack of cards. I'm begining to think it cant be done. Yes Eric something along those lines. Only from directly behind. Its just something I tried yesterday and wondered about. Andrew
  14. Is it possible to have say 3 slide one behind the other and during the time allowed have the slide at the back [or in the middle] come to the front, by actual movement and not opacity. I've tried this all day and cant get it. Any help? Andrew
  15. I notice the border size tool does not retain/remember the last value set, but defaults back to a different value after use. Can it be altered to remember/retain the last value set to aid workflow. Andrew
  16. Hi Dick, Sorry for the late reply. I sort of solved it by creating an independent BG at full size for each slide I want to have a different colour BG. Then on each slide I set the BG colour to match the BG slide.A bit of a hit and miss but it seems to work. Thanks for the help, I'm still learning rectangles! Andrew.
  17. Yes, I did understand that Peter, and agree wholeheartedly. Andrew
  18. Hi Mark, so many things now to consider, but a better understanding now to help. This discussion has opened my eyes a bit. I guess I got carried away with my 'masterpiece' and didnt stop to consider the impact such a show might have. There were a lot of elderly members in that audience! What you doing still up at 01:30am? Andrew
  19. OK, I got that. Keep the colours in their own 'complimentry groups. Thanks Guys.
  20. WOW. Thats gonna take some learning!!!
  21. I'm slowly getting round all the various parts of P2E and have come to frames. I was wondering when [in what circumstance] you would use them, and for what? Any quick explination? Andrew
  22. Thanks Gayland. I need all the encouragement I can get. Andrew
  23. My monitor defaults to 1920x1080. I set the image size and BG size to that. What would be the result if I size them at 1920x 1200? Would they go off the end of my screen.? Gonna have to try it now Thanks Bill. Andrew
  24. Thanks Jeff. I done that simply to keep the show from being to 'static' I will experiment with other methods and variations. Thank you for the encouragement. Andrew
  25. The font is called fairydust. I really like it. Thank you for the kind comments. Andrew
