We attended the 2012 Tattoo in Edinburgh in August before our USA trip. The new producer of the tattoo is an old C.O. of mine Brigadier David Alfrey.I got the chance to talk to him prior to the start and to catch up in some areas. It was as good as I expected. This marks our 10th year at the tattoo and we will continue to support and enjoy it as long as we can. I would like to add a small 10 second file to a slide and have it play over 2 slides [ 10 secs ] via the add sound or voice option. I think it can be done but I just cant remember how. Can anyone point me in the right direction please? Andrew

Added the Muscle car and classic car shows from Kissimmee old town to OP. A stunning array of classic American cars. It must have been a wonderful era to be a young driver.

Thanks Ken, The work they do for conservation etc is amazing. Not just in USA but world wide. We saw a bald eagle that someone had shot! They got it and were treating it. Regretably it wont be able to return to the wild due to wing damage, but it will be cared for in Busch Gardens. Andrew

Thanks Davy, There is just so much to see and do in that area, its incredible. 2 weeks just isnt enough. I kept the timing uniform simply because I was getting carried away!!! I came home with 2700 pics!!! I could have stayed at the KSC for the 2 weeks.... Andrew

19/9/2012 - added Busch Gardens to the OP.

I've put the first two elements of my Florida visit on Beechbrook. Many thanks to Bill for providing a gateway to the world for them. Kennedy Space Center The Magic of Disney Busch Gardens Spirit of America I have some more to do but these two were the highlight of the visit for me. Two amazing places. In the KSC we got a full on tour of the vehicle assembly building where we saw the shuttle being retired and perped for its journey to its new home and mission control, the actual room where they controled the Apollo missions inc '13.We had a short lecture and demonstration from one of the people who worked on the shuttles and saw parts which went to make it up. What an insight to the programme. The rocket hanger which houses the giant rocket and all the displays inc a suit which still has the moon dust on it! Then back to the visitor center by AC coach and a chance to see the displays there inc a replica of the Mars curiosity rover, and the shuttle simulator.We bought our photo pack which included a flash drive with stock images on it and a ' not for profit use ' licence. I used 3 in my show. A short drive to the Astronaut Hall of Fame and then home to Haines City. An absolutely brilliant day. No trip to Florida would be complete without a visit to Disney. Seeing it on tv doesnt do it justice. The moment I passed thro the gate I was transported back to my childhood. Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Mickey and all the characters from my my favourite stories and movies. The Magic Castle stands majestically at the top of main street and the show by the performers is hourly. What a show it was.I watched it 3 times!!! Ol' Walt was a genuis/visionary call him what you will but his legacy will last for generations.I was asked by a woman and her daughter if I had seen Alice...you could only be asked that question in the Magic Kingdom. In these two shows I hope you see something you like or something that triggers a fond memory. Andrew I've completed the shows that I valued the most. The memories will live with me for many a long year. However I did take a lot more pictures. Eric, this is very good. However with a little refining it could be superb. I offer the following ideas [ which are only how I would have done it. Trim it to 5 minutes and loose some of the duplicate shots. Cameras etc. Vary the push left transition it lasts to long. shorten the fade transition by 50% make it faster. Reduce the actual speech portion of the soundtrack by one third. Photography excellent. WS superb. Post on beechbrook. This could be your best yet. Andrew

Wonderful. I was stationed in Smuts Barracks in 1968 and did get the chance to see some of the main sights. I revisited Berlin in the 80's but never saw it like this. Andrew

During January we visited The town of Ypres [ pronounced Leper ] in Belgium which was the focal point of 5 different battles of WW1. Armed with my map and satnav we toured the sights of the salient and [ as is my custom ] visited as many of the cemetery and monument sights as possible. Today its a beautiful area, so clean and green. A far cry from 1915 when its very core was being torn assunder by artillery fire. I went to the Last Post ceremony at the Menin Gate nightly and met the trumpeters, one of whom has missed only 1 Last Post in 20 years. I was touched by the number of young people there on school trips and visits. Tyne Cot cemetery where 3 Victoria Cross holders are resting. It's the largest British War Grave in existance with over 11,000 resting there....over 8,000 have no name on their stone! The Australian 5th Division Memorial in Polygon Wood and the New Zealand Division Memorial nr Passchandale and the Canadian Division Memorial, all impressive reminders of the losses. Essex Farm where John McCrae penned the poem ' In Flanders Fields ' We also paid a visit to the German Cemetery at Langemark, and to my dismay found it untended and in poor repair. Withered wreaths littered the area and the footpaths were in dire need of maintainance. Over 24,000 are resting there with 42,000 names on the roles there. Some of the graves contain as many as 11 persons. What touched me was that every time we turned a corner ...there was another Grave sight! Small patches of ground now hold as few as 10 men in them and are tended lovingly by those responsible for them. New graves are being added as the ground of the salient gives up her dead. The trenches of hill 62 [ the British Front Line ] provided proof of the conditions of horror the men of both sides lived in. If there is a stairway to hell, it's into a trench!! I hope you enjoy this presentation in the spirit it is intended. As a tribute to all men of all sides who fell in the horror of war....sadly it's still happening. Whats a Zoom H4?

As a random set of images [ which are pretty good photographically ] and some offbeat ambient music - no clever animation, special effects, soothing tinkling piano music, voice over, picture postcard images, bare naked ladies, Google, start, middle and end, story, Video etc Its not bad at all. Speaking as one who lives but 2 miles from Burns birthplace, there is a wealth of material you could have included in the piece. The effects were interesting but just not enough variation in the music or the screen image. Interesting work, just not enough variety. Andrew
