Thanks for the replies ,sorry I'm only getting back to this now. I'll see how I get on. Snapcam

Could the default for the navigation bar be off rather than on. I have just collated an A.V. festival and 60% of the entrants had forgotten to un-check the Navigation bar before publishing. Most would have preferred it not to be shown. Snapcam

Is there a reason I cannot publish to u Tube. I can sign into u Tube directly but the same sign in will not work from PTE

Firstly I have been using V8.0.9 which may make a difference. I will download to 10. I have concluded that I did not realise that selecting a style did not just add the effect to the slide but also affected the slide timings. As I said maybe I have tried to use it were it wasn't intended and it IS working as intended. Thanks Dave for the time you have taken with this. Raymond

Sorry for the delay in answering, If I select a slide in a sequence with e.g. 7 second timing, and select Style ZOOM IN, the window shows duration 7seconds, speed 100% and zoom 122% then select apply. Returning to the project the next slide moves forward by about 2 seconds and the placement of other slides also moves. See the earlier screenshots. Thanks for giving this your time as the same effect can be achieved in O&A but I assume the style is not working as expected. Raymond

Tried that Dave ,still the same. I tried style in a new project and an old project all with the same result. Snapcam

I have now set KFSD but makes no difference. 1 Introduce slide to timeline duration 7secs. 2 apply style i.e. ZOOM IN. Duration remains at 7secs but on timeline All subsequent slides move forward by approx. 5secs. with a couple overlapping their dissolve time. On the slides tab the same happens but there is no overlap. It appears as if the style is adapting so as to run the zoom into the next slide. I was using it as a quick way to zoom instead of O and A for this one slide ,perhaps I am not using it as intended by the programme. Snapcam

When I select a style e.g. 'Zoom in' in the time line, the position of neighbouring slides change on the time line. I found that this does not happen if I change to slide view first and then select the style before returning to the time line. Is that how it is supposed to be or am I missing some thing? Snapcam

Excellent and again I admire your original way of showing ordinary images (sorry I struggle for another word to describe the super images to make my point). Snapcam

Keep them coming Jeff! I only wish more folk would tap in a comment now and again. There are shows in SSC with numerous downloads and not one comment. Even if it is only'I liked or disliked it'. It is through commenting on our shows ( even if we don't accept the comment) that we improve what we produce. We have the perfect platform here of like minded people i.e. A.V. producers, although with differing views on A.V. I think we are bound by those who are afraid they will offend and those who take offence too readily. You are probably right about the pace of the show .It was curtailed to be within 3m21s for a fun exercise in my group. It suffers from what I tell beginners 'it is sometimes what you leave out rather than what you squeeze in that can make a show'. Be Happy Snapcam

I do remember someone telling me what the origin was of the 321 format but I can't remember. Oh, the passing years! However it can be shorter, the rule is maximum 3m21s While trawling around sites and topics to see if I could find out I came across a topic in February 2012 on the forum about the same subject when a member was enquiring if his show went over would it be disqualified. Lo and behold there I found Barry agreeing that on occasion it is necessary to limit the time on a sequence. He must have been in a mellow mood back then or his heart has hardened again in the time since. Only joking Barry. Snapcam

The 321 concept was thought up a number of years ago and came about because it was the length of a standard recorded piece of music ( I think). So the idea was to see if you could create something no longer than 3m21s. It can be shorter if you wish. It is a fun thing. It is popular among A.V.ers were and there are competitions with the theme. Snapcam

Hi Barry Normally I don't allow control of the sequence. However, after Jeff's comment I looked at the sequence and by chance found I had not disabled the spacebar control. I do take his point of the changes in some cases being a little quick but as I said that was more to do with the 321 theme. Regards

Jan, I come to this a little late (just came across the thread). I really enjoyed your show and your use of consecutive stills giving a video feel . To complete the show on the day was a real achievement. I would have like to see a variation on the consecutive stills with a varying number of shots. Sometimes I expected to see another couple of movements if you see what I mean. I thought it was a very original way to do it. It also reminded me of a Sport theme competition in my Camera Club some years ago when the judge dismissed Orienteering images as NOT a sport. The author, a keen orienteer walked out in a rage! Thanks for the comments I like feedback. The original sequence was re-timed to 3mins21secs approx. to use in a group 321 exercise were a sequence must be 3m21s or less. The result is the timing noted by Jeff (good point). I hadn't thought of that perhaps because of my familiarity with the images. Space bar will pause the image for a longer look. Never mind the rain Mick it means shots like the last one in the sequence. Great golf courses as well Snapcam

I have uploaded a slideshow of images to Slideshow Club that I have taken over the years around Ireland mostly in Northern Ireland. I greatly admire the work of 'Lakelandlass' on this forum and this was composed a while ago to let her see some of Ireland but I never got around to posting it. Until now. I hope you enjoy the images as much as I do. Snapcam

Hello Jeff, I have never seen the country but I was there when watching you show. What it must be like to be in that space. Where I live I tell folk 90 mile in any direction and we fall of the edge. I so enjoyed your zooms and vertical pans. I hate to make a criticism but from a purely A.V. point of view The format changing really jarred while the full screen was just great. Have you thought of finishing with Video of the road to match the video start. Please excuse the A.V. criticism of a really enjoyable show. Snapcam

In the words of Victor Meldrew 'I don't believe IT' I have finally uploaded a sequence to SSC. Many thanks to all those who have tried to help throughout this thread. I hope now I have succeeded you will think my little sequence was worth your trouble. Raymond (Snapcam)

I have just downloaded a show from the club and on extraction find 2 files one an application and then a PTE show file. I normally take no notice and go on and run the show. Checking back over other downloads most have these 2 files but of varying sizes with sometimes the application file being the largest and sometimes the PTE file. My zip file only has the application file but plays the sequence. Am I missing something when I create the Zip file? Raymond

I tried again several times including using Chrome No Joy. 1st screen is during upload. 2nd screen is as before after upload concludes Different file same result. Raymond
-
Hello Eric The point is I don't get to that . You video is quite clear that's how I corrected my Zip file. But when I upload it says no file was selected(see my screen shot) further up the thread. Raymond

Barry I can't see any reference to a thumbnail. Presuming you are not talking about screenshots where do I put the thumbnail (please avoid the obvious answer ) Raymond
-
Barry / Dave I am using the advanced mode but have tried both with the same result.. The file shows and completes the progress bar but then shows the File name and file size but says no file had been selected (see screen shot). So I never get to the stage of the fields or 'Submit'' The screenshot loads fine. What 120px thumbnail are you referring to Barry.
-
I don't get as far as 'Add Submission.' This is as far as I get because it is saying No file has been selected. Raymond
