  1. Help!! I have a sound track completed on Audition which plays normaly on audio. It also plays normally in PTE project. My problem is that when I play it in preview it seems to loop for a few seconds then the soundtrack stops. It happens at the same point every time. If I try to create the fault is in the finished sequence. Snapcam
  2. Hello Mark Just had a look at your show and as usual your images are first class. Now for the but, I appreciate that you are combining two sets of images Mono and Colour and to present them without some sort of mingling defeats the purpose of the exercise. To achieve this effectivly there has to be some sort of transition between the two that does not jar the viewer and I feel some but not all of your's do this, jar the viewer I mean. I think an earlier comment was right to say that there is a danger of falling between two stools. I also think you achieved the aim of purely presenting images better when you did seperate Mono and Colour sequences. I think you know what my thoughts are in relation to a diverse set of pics with no linking theme ever being an A.V. They will always be a slide show. Doesn't stop me enjoying the images though.
  3. I was entralled by the movement of the photobox and enjoyed the 3D effects in the main show. I could replicate the main show transitions but I would love to know the technic for the box. Cheked out the web site as well enjoyed that too.
  4. Hi Davy, You're quite right ofcourse, I have no right to make unsolicited comments on another's work to that degree. You will note I editded the original post(obviously not quickly enough )I did think I went a little over the top.
  5. I love your casual 'I spotted a troop of monkeys in my garden attacking the weaver bird's nests'. It sort of puts my excitement of a pair of Goldfinches and Next door's cat in My garden in perspective. The split image way of showing the images can be very useful and successful and you made good use of what appeared to be very few images. A commentry would help but I think the captions served very well. I suppose your next show will be a lion chasing across your flower beds!!! your so unlucky
  6. I watched this sequence before reading the comments on the forum other than Davy's intro. I watched it again because others obviously found it fascinating The images are truely great, but they're not the authors images and here may be the problem for me. I feel you must be connected to your work and then something of yourself goes into it. The sequence is well constructed but it contains several non related images e.g. the balls which break the flow of the imagery. The sequence becomes a collection of diverse images after the thread of the first half, created by the subjects, is broken when the images in the second half come from such different situations. I liked the idea and the music is beautiful but I think it needs to be going somewhere. The old story of beginning ,middle, and end. Watched it again before posting and I really DO like the images.
  7. Hi, Thanks for the response. I do get the popup but only the audio codec has loaded. I have tried the varios codecs available on the drop down and different combinations , but no joy. Always says unable to download a file i.e. video
  8. Jose, Have a look at The eleventh hour on forum list page 2 and A light dusting of snow on page 5. You can contact me via the messages
  9. Back again Jose, this time having viewed your sequence. Firstly, I move in traditional A.V. circles and came to view your show with certain preconceptions. A, Don't include a frame in your show.( Distracts the viewer) B, Absolute maximum time 12 minutes. (bores the audience) C, Animations kept to a minimum. (must have a purpose) I have now watched your show start to finish and didn't even notice the time passing, having initially looked at the frame I don't think I saw it for the rest of the time, and I was fascinated by the animation techniques you used. SO MUCH FOR POINTS A,B,C,!. However in most A.V. competitions and festivals the rules limit shows to a max 12mins and frames are frowned upon. I suspect this show was never intended for that medium anyway. I so enjoyed the music and the photography was beautiful. I would like to have understood the Portugese script as it would have added to my understanding of the progress. The only negatives for me were that perhaps we were moving around a little too much with so many zoom shots. Perhaps a little longer to enjoy the image. The section showing the old pics of your youth was too long for outsiders, while these will have meaning for yourself to a stranger the same point can be made with fewer images. But that is just nit picking. Overall a very enjoyable presentation which I suspect owes a lot to a movie background and as has been pointed out to me before aren't all A.V. workers 'frustrated movie makers'. I see in this show pointers to were A.V. is going in the future. See Igor's clip with VIDEO insert. It was worth the wait Jose.
  10. Hello again Jose, Well, your file is downloading as I type. The new link was recognised no problem. I notice that MediaFire is seperated on the new link by.... the other link is continuous with /? between Mediafire and link.
  11. Hello Bert Really enjoyed the HDR images in this sequence. I am not a fan of animation for animation's sake but in this show I would love to be taken down some of the corridors. The images cried out for slow zooms into some of the detail. Without this in this type of show, it tends to become a little repetitive, dispite the top quality of the images. If it were possible arranging the images so as to take the viewer on a tour ie through doors ,up stairs into and out of rooms would be another possibility. I hope you don't mind my comments as I did enjoy the show. Its unusual to see a sequence in HDR. Snapcam
  12. I'm sorry Jose, but there is not response to clicking the link.
  13. Hello Jose, Thanks for the comments, I had just posted on yours that I can't get the mediafire link to load Please help .I would like to see your sequence having read the comments.
  14. Glad you enjoyed it Lin, it is all genuine ( except the last image). Some folk don't believe it is a real mouse.
  15. Is there a reason that the mediafire link isn't working for me.
  16. Witnessed this little sequence early one morning in my driveway. Enjoy http://www.mediafire.com/?ayhfgia4les2aed Comments if you wish.
  17. I thought I would burn a sequence onto DVD using my own DVD burner and an AVIfile. The create AVI only records the Audio. What am I missing please
  18. Sorry Barry I missed your post when I replied to the other answers. The reason is it may not be my sequence that is used and the author may not want their work copied willy/nilly. Secondly festival workers tend to use copyright music and their licence conditions may not allow for public distribution. You'll enjoy hearing that I know! Regards
  19. Thanks for the help Guys. I will try your suggestions and see how we go.
  20. I have been asked to provide a sequence for use on a website to promote an upcoming Festival. I am happy to provide the sequence for viewing but do not want the public to be able to save it. How do I prevent a downloaded sequence being saved.
  21. My thanks to those who responded your comments are appreciated. Snapcam
  22. Further update. The file as been converted as per your suggestion and it is reported to be working correctly. My collegue sends their hearty thanks. Snapcam
  23. Sorry I missed your post but I think you have answered the problem as I have just reported that it appears the downloaded file was corrupted. I will forward your explaination to the concerned party. Thanks Snapcam
  24. Barry, I think the problem has been resolved. The music was a MP3 download from Amason which must have been corrupted in some way. My friend is happy that it now works with different sound track. I am posting grabs of the track in PTE. It may be of help to others. In the first the waveform stops at 2m48s but the music plays on to 2m58s. making slide placement impossible. In the second without the waveform the indicator stops moving at 2m48s but the music plays on to 2.58s Thanks for your help. Incidently the experienced worker is a past winner of the RPS International AV Festival but is still on a learning curve with PTE. Snapcam
