  1. Hi Lin, When you are working, and selecting the SD_blur file, you could believe it's the same thing. But if the file is not selected, it's quite different for me. At least, with my screen !?! Best regards, Jean-Cyprien Jaggies2.zip
  2. Hi Xaver, I agree with you. I think that if you choice 0,5% (even 0,4%) for the "Width of blur" AND for the "Corner Radius" of your mask, it'll be OK Best regards Jean-Cyprien PS Just 0.4% for the Corner Radius is sufficient, and it's quite invisible.
  3. I think that what you want to do is possible with a mask container, like in my example. Vertical.zip
  4. I don't know PPS, but with PTE it's not easy to do. Already difficult with - say - 3 or 4 pictures per view, and only with simple transitions (not 3D, not curling of page)
  5. Bravo Lin (even if I'm not David !!!)
  6. A lot of things could be made. What is just limited is our imagination ! I'll send a PM in order to better understand each other. Regards Jean-Cyprien
  7. Hi Tom, Unfortunately, this is in French, but however, let me know if it could be useful for you. Regards, Jean-Cyprien Ouvrez les portes.pt.zip
  8. Lin : "most users" of PTE are using it to display their photographs rather than as a 3D animation tool. You're absolutly right, Lin, and for those who want to make 3D animation, other softwares are certainly much better. But not - I think - with all our dear pictures, as PTE can do it. What is interesting with PTE is the fact that you are quickly able to do nice things without a long and tiring learning and practice. I'll try Screen Recorder. Thank You Lin. Best regards Jean-Cyprien
  9. Hi Lin, I have just seen your tutorial. Interesting, of course, as usual. However, I am not sure that somebody who is not able to make a wooden log by himself will then be able to build his house by assembling such logs. It's far more complicated. Two years ago (already!) with the release of the v6, I had made a tutorial in French to build a small house. Who helped themselves about it ? Was this too complicated ? It was seen more than 2000 times, but less than five people said that it had been useful to them. Under these conditions I never had courage to translate it into English. Days have only 24 hours ! (But it is said that it is never too late do the right thing ?) Here it is, for what it is worth. In French. Sorry ! By the way, Lin, what software do you use to copy your screen in video ? Thanks in advance. Tutoriel_Ma_Maison.zip
  10. Thank you very much, Lin, it was just an exercice before this one : The round of my small nephews and nieces is made with two frames like making an ellipse (You were remembering the procedure not such a long time ago)
  11. You are right, Dave, I need to change the opacity. Have a look at the last view of the AV here : It's one of the last, if not the last AV by JPD (end of Oct 2009). And have you said precession ? See "My lovely spinning tops". Not really attractive todays, but they were done with the version 5, that is without the marvellous 3D of the version 6 ! 12. Yes, same concept, possible with a few letters but not with long textes. It was for Easter 2010 and Mothers'day (last May'sunday in France) in the end of my bell Choupinette Egg.zip
  13. Good idea, and nice achievement. Bravo
  16. The problem is due to a new parameter, since the 7.00 version : AspectParams With 0.666667,100,0,0 you have your aspect With 0,100,0,0, it's normal If you copy your file L(1) in the PTE version 658 it's OK, because the parameter AspectParams doesn't exist. What have you done to change the parameter ?? That, I don't know, but certainly Igor could answer ! EnableAspect is a other new parameter (AspectParams depending of this one ??) Value par default = 1 If you put it to 0 the aspect is normal. .
So, sei nachsichtig bitteschön !) Gruß Jean-Cyprien Beobachtungspunkt.zip
Jean-Cyprien
  20. I don't know if it is your problem : If your picture is not right at the middle of the creen, you'll see it - and think it's not at right angle with the sreen. You have to put an other angle - not 90° - to see it by the edge. It is a problem of perspective See my example Project_1.zip
  21. Perhaps a spoiled PTE software file? It's very easy to download a new PTE file and install it again. In your place, I'd try this.
  22. Hi Lin, and Xaver I agree with you. I've suggested a duration' increase of 10s because Arthur had said there was 10s s before the animation starts. This 10s could be distributed between different previous views as you say. Concerning the png files, I think that after downloading them, PTE has to "translate" them into his own language and so it needs power and time. If there is a lot of transparencies, PTE has to do with them. About the performance of the latest versions, the #6 and not only the #7... I think this is the price to pay to have 3D possibilities (and what nice possibilities they are, I think) and the video introduction (and the sounds). What we can't cure (but know) must be endured, that is we have to modify our first ideas in such ways that PTE default will not be seen. I'm sure a lot of defaults could be treated by Igor's team if they will take the time to do this, and so I hope the future versions will be better. Best regards, Jean-Cyprien
  23. Hi Arthur, I have a GeForce 560Ti with 1 GB of Memory Size. I think it's not a bad card. Nevertheless I have 8 seconds without animation. With my new powerful ASUS G74S 91171V (3D) and GeForce 560M with 3 Go of memory size, not a bad card too I think, there is still 3 seconds without animation. So, I think it's not only a problem of video card, but certainly a problem with the downloading speed of your files. In my mind, it was not possible to download more than 2 Mo par second. Perhaps it's a little more today, I don't know, but here there is too much to do. When all the files are downloaded, there is no more such problem. Try the following thing : when you are seeing the slide #4 after 10 s, and then, the animation is now running (or seeing the following views), press the left arrow to go back to the previous view #3, and you'll see that the animation starts immediatly with the beginning of the view #4. Because all the files are still in the memory. Regards Jean-Cyprien
  24. Hi Arthur, "45 animations" means nothing, it depends of the complexity of the animation, number of files to be loaded, Parents/childs, 3D parameters used or not... PTE reads all the files (and - I think - makes calculations), for 2 views in advance. If your actual "bad" view takes 10s to be loaded (a lot of files to be loaded ?), try to increase the duration of the previous view (and the previous view of this one, if needed) at least with 10 s. I think you'll see a difference. ( Also if a picture file is too big, (quality too hight, more than 1920x1200...) PTE takes a little time to load it - a fraction of second, not so much as you observe !! ) But Lin is probably right. Your video card is perhaps not powerful enough ?! Regards Jean-Cyprien
  25. Hi Tony, Oh, yes ! How it'd be nice if such things could be done with PTE For your example, I think you can use animated gif for the pendulum, and classical animation for the hands - like in my following example (made in a hurry !) Jean-Cyprien Coucou.pt.zip
