I think that the document of inscription will be in English soon online. I sent the full translation (with the assistance of a friend professor) this morning to Gaphe.

All the subjects are accepted: birthday's cards, Christmas's pictures, little film....... PTE is so universal that it can almost do everything !
-
Of course... I accept your offer. And it's a thing which I appreciate much. Any assembly is welcome. Many will be able to discover PTE with these shows, and send them to friends, to make them discover, for example, your country. Thank you for PTE, Oleg!

Oleg, I received some emails asking for 1.5mb. I’m OK for that: 1.5 mo for the file .exe. In any event, there is almost no difference with the file .zip. I'm sure that one can easily compose of superb small presentations which will be like jewels. I'm waiting for your...perhaps...Russian landscape or other (event, humour... ?) Best wishes !

Hi my friends, it's done ! A small permanent contest is opened to amateurs: prepare presentations equal or lower than 1,2mo and present them on the Fanaphot Website. We will publish all them. At the end of the year a superb gift will reward the best and 2nd, 3éme will be also rewarded. The upload is by email to michel@fanaphot.com. I hope that you will like the challenge. It's in the honor of PTE and in thanks to Igor. Best regards to all !

Dominique and me (admin2 and admin1 of Fanaphot) like the small presentations... We prepare a small contest: it's a question of composing presentations lower than 1mo. We will try to publish all received. The instructions for use will be online soon. Have ideas on this subject ?

These shows are very nice: I think that Jigsaw is a little slow for the puzzle, but interesting. Black Country is marvellous: it's the Great Photography as Cartier Bresson or Doisneau if you know... The music and the sound are perfect. Very good work for PTE ! (Cottage downloading)

Thanks Stef for your French version and your delicacy ! The french community can download the show here: téléchargement (link for downloading) La communauté française peut télécharger la version française en cliquant sur le lien indiqué ci dessus.

English informations: An International Festival of digital slide shows is getting ready in France. It deals with telling a story, expressing an idea, a thought, illustrating a song...The images come with a soundtrack synchronized with PicturesToExe (advised). Each slideshow must be recorded on a CD and its duration mustn't exceed 10 minutes. A first judgement will be given in Hayange (East of France) on October 31st and on November 1st 2003. Afterwards, the 40 best slideshows will be shown on december 5th and 6th December 2003 in Nilvange (East of France). For the technical aspect: all the slideshows will be projected with a video projector Nec HT 1000. We advise you to give the images in a jpg format, 1024x768 pixels and the soundtrack in MP3. I'm not a master, please, as you say...but I love the nice photography. The digital picture can be more nice with a little work (also with free software...). (And don't speak about .raw file: it's another history....for masters perhaps ?) What I want to say it is that everyone must be "nice" to the presentation of the images: in any case, I work and only after I speak. Is this really so difficult ?: not, to take a little time simply. The difference between speaking and thinking before speaking. Look at Versailles here: one minute of work ! no perfect but..... French Castle Boys, let's go !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
And knowledge to make "Bocuse" ? look at this example
-
See a difference between these two images ? it's here !!!

Example for digital pictures: when you photograph with a digital camera, you must to use the better quality: 4 megapixels for the Canon G2. After, you resize it in the format (example) 800x600 or 1024x768, and adjust a little with a photo editing software (noise...sharpness...contrast...)
-
I don't agree: 1024x768 or 800x600 is not the problem. The problem is: 1.37 mb to 2.25 mb When the the "CPU" open a 2.25 mb picture, the work is more important that for open 1.37 mb. It's only this factor for me.

Please, ridges attention with the quality of the pictures for the shows. These slide shows are public and you must give a great attention to this parameter. The Luigi'slide show in this respect superb: good lights, sharpness... It's not so difficult... Everyone causes much, but one does not see real effort on this subject. Such an amount of worse if I shock you a little, but at least I have the merit to say it. Thank you for your atention.

Venice rich in history, colors and mystery. This marvellous expression of delicacy and secrecy is magnificiently translated into very expressive pictures of its masks, by Luigi Sartori. (link in top)

I decided to visit "Cinque Terre" because relatives have been discover this region. And when I saw the landscapes in a book, I decided to go there. I does not make publicity, but I note that it forms part of the Unesco heritage. My pictures are taken in all independence and it's only my own decision.. Guido has a good idea: perhaps I'm going to write to Unesco and indicate the existence of this show.
